Many people in the Old Timers Guild received both emails and betacenter invites. Some just betacenter invites. Some (like me) have received neither.

Well, tbh, I highly doubt it will be long at all until open beta - so no worries either way.

Servers for us probably won't be up until Wednesday to Friday, and that's when we start downloading OB, and I know if my internet is like anyone else's that means while I'm download OB I won't be playing :rolleyes:

Please head to the herald if you are like me and not in yet. It seems higher end PCs were not taken into account with their scanning program. They made an open statement that people who should have gotten in did not and they are looking into why this happened. Come join the 450+ post of concerned CE people :P

This really cleared things up for me. I'm on a pretty nice computer, not amazing, but definitely above the requirements. I have been checking my beta center, not email, and it still says "Applied." =(

yeah mines not that bad, just need to upgrade processor which might be difficult with it being an old 939. Everything else on my pc is well above min standards. but still no invite.

so you get into open beta if you pre-ordered a CE regardless of your system specs right?

You guys do know the emails dont mean anything. There is no magic link in them. All it says is "Go cehck your beta center, and follow the instructions there" So it would be more fruitful to be refreshing your beta center over your email in invite situations. Since emails ALWAYS go out after your beta center is updated.

so you get into open beta if you pre-ordered a CE regardless of your system specs right?

Yeah if you preordered CE you automatically get into open beta. I think all these invites are doing is allowing us to download the client for the closed beta preview weekend coming up on the 15th - 17th. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

This has nothing to do with the preview weekend. We were invited to the closed beta. The servers will hopefully be up by midweek. There has been no announced date for the Preview Weekend nor for the OB. The 15th is simply when they will release the torrent all pre-orders to download in preparation for the Open Beta.That said however Gamestop leaked then took down I believe a date of Sept.3 to 9th for open beta. They were right about the release date they leaked so it's a good guess they are right about OB. Mbj has said he doubts the OB will be even 2 weeks which means it can't be sooner than 3 weeks away unless they change their minds.

NDA being lifted doesn't automatically = OB at this time Mbj has stated they may lift the NDA but remain in the Closed Beta state.

Gonna have to agree with this one, can't get the torrent to go any faster than 30 kbps, so I hope I make it at some point. It's driving me a bit crazy, watching it go up, then dip down low.
