Actually ..... My opinion is to thank the Seeders for continuing to offer the File even after they are done downloading.


Personally I have my Bandwidth wide open and restricted to 6 slots so that people Dling from me get some good speeds ( instead of 4-5 kb/s spread amongst 30 people. )



It's just the principle to thank those of us that are sending out the upload even when we have nothing to gain from it, rather than demanding " Give me more"

when imm in bed sleeping I have it on unlimited but about 50k is as high as I can have it when I am on and not lag while gaming and such.

At least until my wife set her iTouch to start downloading 3 movies :(

I leave for vacation tomorrow moring, doubt I'll be finished downloading before then but I'll have it up with unlimited upload speed until I get home on Sunday.

I don't suppose if anyone wants to check the total % the general area of completed download/s for the leechers? And how many seeders are there total? Seeders usually make the big difference. You also want to be sure you have your router (if you're using one) with the correct ports opened and what not.

Currently there are 835 seeders. About 30 I connect to.

Leechers at 10207 and connection up to and continuing past 300.

D/l rate after five minutes is up to 600 kB/s which drops down to about 400 or so on but then picks back up or beyond. I don't see why everyone is having a problem. It's not any of the seeders or leechers. It's just you don't have the correct config. :???:

that is bs I've uploaded 6 gigs and my download rate is still 14kbs...

he is sorda right. you have to set your upload rate to a number relative to your max upload from your isp. if your upload from you isp is 800 kbps, divide that by 8 (divide 8 bytes to get 8 bits) gets you 100. times that by .8 gives you 80. so you would set your upload to 80. this is just a rough example for most effective uploads/downloads on utorrent.

My download is done for awhile, but I think I have angered the ISP gods after seeding all night at +200 kb/s I'm down to jumping between +40-80 kb/s. When I get back from work I'll see if I can speed it up for you guys.

I'd assume since you can only upload at 50k your better off sending that to only like 2 people. In the grand scheme it all pans out to the same but whats the point of sending .5k to 100 people? Better off IMO sending 25k to 2 people.

I should be done downloading the client in about 8 hours (hitting 110kB/s atm). Once that is done, I'll be seeding overnight and max speed. I will have to let my computer get a little rest though. It's been downloading since early Sunday morning and regardless of how many fans I have in my rig, sometimes ya just need a break. :p

Ditto here. I'm supporting about 600Kbps sustained. Just changed the config to limit it to 4 active peers at once, so each is getting about 150Kbps from me. Will leave it running like this until the CE Beta fires up :)

If your using uTorrent I reccomend you read and follow the Help instruction to determine your own upload speed and set it accordingly, this will in turn alter your download rate. the more you upload the more you get to download, thats the way Torrents work. It discourages people from downloading without contributing to other peoples downloads =)

More people need to do this, it sucks to download for a while at 250-400 KB/s and then drop down to 16 kb/s.

As a general rule, I always at the very least try to get my dl/ul ratio to 1. I just believe its polite to upload as much as I download, not that I use a whole lot of torrents.

So yeah, If youve finished downloading and are able to, Please keep seeding as long as you can.:p
