Yes, they're the Dwarf melee DPS class (as opposed to Engineers, who are ranged DPS).

What they'll look like? These should give you a good idea:
Hammerer miniatures (http://uk.games-workshop.com/dwarfs/miniature-gallery/9/), this guy is probably a Hammerer (http://www.warhammeronline.com/english/media/screenshots/full/SS_0706_03.jpg), so is he (http://www.warhammeronline.com/english/media/screenshots/full/SS_0706_04.jpg), and I think this guy might be, as well (http://www.warhammeronline.com/english/media/conceptArt/full/CA_May_2006_04.jpg).
I'd expect their general look to be chain mail with great hammers (although I'm not sure if they'll be limited strictly to hammers).

Not going to make any guesses on how they'll play, because I could have never guessed how they're handling Ironbreakers and Black Orcs. Whatever they choose, I'm sure I'll be pleasantly suprised. Although, their traits tend to be stubborness, skill, strength, courage, and loyalty - so they might base it off of those.

I wanna ask, is Hammerers an honorary title or do they really just use only hammers as weapons.? Following this, can they use other weapons?

I have heard of hammerers using twohanded axes, but I imagine most of the hammerers skill may revolved around large mallets

If we can only use hammers so be it, anything to get to my slayer class

hammerers will ONLY be able to use hammers, 1hd or 2hd. they may be able to use axes as they progress into other, more elite classes.

Only hammers? That makes sense, but limits the class to people who only like hammers.

The army book says that after all the hard work and battle experience to get selected as a king's bodyguard (ie Hammerer), the gift of the hammer from king to bodyguard is highly symbolic in the pact, and so they will always employ it if they can to preserve their honour and not go back on their word.

I don't eat greenskins, I leave them to rot and get eaten by mutant pidgeons, because that's how low they are. That's how low they are, low enough to rot and get eaten and pooped on by mutant pidgeons, 'cause that's all they are good for.

Slightly offtopic, but, in response to the issue of eating greenskins...

I was once involved in a game where a player had an interesting take on his dwarven passions. Needless to say, his penchant for eating the bodies of his fallen orc foes led to some serious chaos infection, and thus the character's lifespan was short indeed.

Below is the song I wrote in memory of him:

The Ballad of Red Malina

A blade for battle swung righteous and true
The aim of a warrior's zeal
A strike to the bone, mighty straight through
The bodies his favourite meal
Through rank and file, muster and band
Cries to chill the undead
Through enemies vile with firm hand
He removed many a head

And they sung the ballad of Red Malina
They sent him off to Morr
Well they sung the ballad of Red Malina
The dirge of this Chaos war.

Never a moment wasted from he
Did pass when foe was near
And vanquished the demon then will be
Never let show mortal fear
And he fought till the last and beyond that mark
Time and time again
Not frost nor wind, nor the light or the dark
Kept him from side of friend

And they sung the ballad of Red Malina
They sent him off to Morr
Well they sung the ballad of Red Malina
The dirge of this Chaos war.

And when old Red laid down, for final time
The warriors cried that night
And they sung all together in perfect rhyme
To remember his valiant fight
Now the song has been sung by many a man
And the Gods do weep when heard
And the orcs do shudder all across the land
When they hear what Red incurred

And they sung the ballad of Red Malina
They sent him off to Morr
Well they sung the ballad of Red Malina
The dirge of this Chaos war.
Yes they sung the ballad or Red Malina
Popping a chorus of corks
Oh they sung the ballad of Red Malina
Slayer and eater of Orcs

DPS, meh. I don't think any class is going to be based on streaming out damage, looks like everything is going to be able to deal damage to some extent and everyone has a different way of doing it. So, the Hammerer is the Dwarf...uh...HAMMERING CLASS. haha :p

So an ironbreaker has top-nothc armour and equal DPS to a hammerer?
Na...
Hammerers will do more DPS than an ironbreaker, but have less armour.
Everything will deal damage, but its just that thats what hammerers do best.

Heh. That's nothing.

Back on my servant, we joked a fair bit about "MC hammer" when a friend got Sulfuras.

That only really makes sense when the recipient is an orc, doing the /dance...

Well from the description, momentum sounds a lot like rage from WOW. So i'm guessing they're going to play like fury warriors in WOW.

Right now this sounds like the class i want to play :)

I think that allowing the Hammerer class to weild other 2-handed weapons, such as axes, could help diversify the class and give the players an opportunity to excell in situations that a hammer and its skills/styles would not. To have a class restricted to one type of weapon is most likely going to make everyone in the class weak against a specific opponent who has the corrisponding resistance (if melee and magic resistances are implimented). I can see every player on the destruction side maxing out their crush resistances because of the dwarven Hammerers who are restricted to that damage type.
