Hi all,

We have seen many people posting and asking about when the Collectors Edition/Oceanic Beta Servers will be available. We have put together a nice page accessible through your Beta Center so you can check announcements and the Status of the Servers.

This has been up for a couple of days now but we wanted to make sure everyone was aware of it and made use of it for their convenience as it contains all the important information you need to know before and during your testing experience.

So then the announcement comes that all pre-orders are now going to be accepted into Open Beta, and I'm guessing it was determined that Collector's Edition clients should be given a little boost. After hearing the Open Beta announce date as potentially Aug 15, does that mean that we will have a whopping 1 day of closed beta action for our Collector's Edition purchase? Or do we play on "Closed Beta" servers until launch?

And when Open Beta starts, do we have to download and recreate logins and all that nonsense that I've been reading?

at the stat the game is at theres not really alot of testing and reporting to be done, its more server stability and such !

Anyway, just being able to access the character creating screen is gonna give me a hard-on

Aug. 15th is just the date people can start to download the OB client. It is very doubtful that OB will start on the 15th. If I had to guess, I'd say we're still 2-3 weeks away from OB.

Honestly, if they knew when the servers were going to be up, I'm sure they would tell us. But they don't know for sure, so they don't want to take chance. Sure it would be great if they were up tonight, and it would be great if we knew exactly when they were going to be up, but there are reasons that neither of these are the case. So relax and be patient, it won't be much longer. :)

Understood completely! Patience patience, it hurts :) I'm a bit scared though, I see only 10 servers listed starting with A or B. And unfortunately my servers start with T and D! They might have not even gotten those guys online yet!

The corollary of this is that a beta is not something you hold after locking down your release date, it's something you hold to test software to see if it's ready for release yet or whether it needs more work. Anything else and you're doing it wrong.

there is absolutely no information on https://betacenter.eamythic.com.
the only other page i can think of is the account center.. and there i can't get past "step 2" because my CE-codes don't work (yet?)..

If you are in Closed Beta, there's a link in your Beta Center account to it. If you're not, you don't have access to the page.

Yes, servers are down for approx. 15 minutes for some minor patching.

And since this is a server status thread I don't think that by informing people of the server status is in any way, shape or form, a violation of the NDA. But I do understand the need to remain tight-lipped about the game itself.
