Me and my friends will play WAR. However they have decided to play as Dwarfs. Ironbreaker and Engineer. I wanted to be High Elf Archmage. But I am just wondering, how is it with Runepriest? I've read some things about it and watched some videos. So could anyone please spare some of their time and explain to me what is a Runepriest and what's your opinion about it? And who, in your opinion, will be more fun to play - Archmage or Runepriest?
I enjoy healing and doing some damage. Would Runepriest complete that role? Also what's your opinion on Dwarfs? The look, the lore...
Thank you for your replies in advance. :)

everything is just speculation until NDA is lifted. I would just wait and make your own opinions then.

Dwarfs are pretty cool in regards to lore they never forgive or forget they will carry out their vengeance even if it lasts hundreads of years they're also stoic and staltwart... and to top it off they get completely hammered a lot.
Their looks is what lets them down, small, round and hairy... s'not that bad but its not for everyone of course then there is the 'roflcopter' mount.
In terms of healing and doing some damage archmage is probably a better choice as Runepriests are described as being the more healbotty of the heales whereas archmage has a similar mechanic to the shaman in which damage increases healing and vice versa.
But that doesn't mean you can't chillax with your friends just that you'll / they'll have to run to them/ you which I think is a pretty easy thing to do.

Runepriests and Zealots seem to be the most Heal orientated support class.
Don't quote me on it however I believe Runepriests and Zealots will be the best consistant healers and buffers, but have low dps compared to the other support classes.

From what i have read about all the healer is that the healing are equal to one another but RP has the best Buffs, so if you want to be the guy that armor, overpower and heal your mate then RP your guy :)

The Archmage if specced for healing will match a Runepriest, a Archmage specced for damage will do more damage than a Runepriest, so it depends on what path your A'Mage was going to take.
The advantage of a RP is that you have no mechanic so consistent casting times and abilities for healing as well as the fact that all 3 paths increase both damage and healing together. If your friends are playing a Ironbreaker and Engineer then you will be able to buff/heal/damage and have fun... the IB is a tank and Engineer a defensive dps class.

So who would win, a group + 1shaman healer (best heal spec) verses a group with 1 runepriest healer (specced into most healing).
Don't think to much here about the other things to do with balance.....just generally, who would have the edge or most healing power being put out to keep there group alive.

Once more, RP and zealots don't spec healing/damage/buff like others. They have Direct/HoT+DoT/AoE paths. All support classes are designed to heal well enough to keep their team alive. The biggest difference is whether you like the Gork + Mork mechanic or the runepriest's rune-buffs. Also, dwarf VS goblin might be quite important. The RP is not my favorite class, I am rolling one because I like dwarfs, and I like the art. Roll what make you the most excited!
