This idea of only entering one or two codes is idiotic. There is nothing on the account center that says don't enter you item codes now. You are just asking for trouble when you make things more complicated than it should be.

Opinion and Theory:
I think everyone misunderstood what he meant. I think what he meant by not active as in it says "Preorder" on the subscription and not like (for example) Bonus In-game Items. I think he wants to clarify people who think they didn't get the items because its called "Preorder" instead.

Yes this applies to everyone that ordered from direct 2 drive. The headstart and item are both the same code. So obviously someone over at mythic has no idea what they are talking about.

Same with my Amazon pre-order. HE and Item share the same code, so entering HE = entering items at the same time, not avoidable.

Yep as CE owner already in the CB, I entered the head start code and the in game items codes and both were accepted by the system.

I think when it says " Gamestop Preorder" it means your in game items are setup. Since the items were retailer specific. Just a guess though.

So i tried again this time adding a few numbers. Now i have a problem with having 2 warhammer accounts, one with the closed beta and the other with the gamestop preorder and the head start.

are you entering them on the main Mythic Entertainment Account Management site, or the EAMythic Betacenter? I at first tried on the betacenter site and got that same error, then I realized I was on the wrong site and went to https://accounts.eamythic.com.


And I've got a question for other people with Amazon CE pre-orders. I entered in my open beta code long ago as soon as I got it from Amazon, I assume this is what got me into the CE closed beta. My account management pages shows:

The problem is I pre-ordered the SE version, which means that I only have 2 codes (1 OB code and 1 Headstart + Item code). Now when I try to enter my second code in for the second time, it says "This code has already been used." Can someone help me with this?

EDIT: Nvm thought my subscription page was supposed to include something in the line of "In-game Item," but I guess it's tied to my Headstart code without saying so.

I've noticed that people who happen to have multiple sets of CE item codes are able to activate multiple item codes on their account. I upgraded my account just fine with my 3 CE codes, but I am not able to activate a 4th code from a SE preorder headstart/item code. It only lets me make a new account with that.

If we can apply multiple CE item codes to one account, is it going to be fixed so we can apply multiple SE codes if we happen to have an extra one?

Too bad Mythic didn't make the headstart/item code seperate for the SE preorders. It could've helped generate extra sales by people getting a preorder for an extra code for their account and giving the headstart code to a friend.

EDIT: This also has to make me wonder, are you able to use the SE preorders with an existing closed beta account, or do they force you to make a new account for them?

If my collectors edition wasn't all ready paid for I would consider canceling the pre-order and forget about the game. Now I will probably just add the miniature to my table top army, read the books and forget about another frustrating game launch. The account center website doesn't even have a link to support to report problems except for DAOC support.

After about 6 hours and 30 attempts I finally was able to get the other 2 codes entered. I had to enter the codes in all capital letters and the security code in all lowercase. I hope this helps anyone that was having the same problem I was.

I was having the errors that the others are talking about where you give it your code and you register your in-game account info and you get a proccessing error.

Amazingly today, I logged on and my account info was there. Not the item info, just the open beta access. And then I was able to enter the pre-order code and everything is fine.

I pre-ordered the CE and I never received an email or anything in the mail with my codes. I got mine from the Amazon.com media library downloads thing. Soon as I pre-ordered, I copy/pasted all the codes they gave me to a MS Word document, and only input the beta code into the Beta Center on the WAR site. The other 2 codes were for the in-game items and head start, but now when I try to input those into the Beta Center, it says the codes are invalid. When I check the Amazon site for my codes, the in-game item code is gone, and there is only the beta and head start codes there.

Should I contact Amazon to see whats up?

P.S. - For the record I did try to input the other 2 codes when I first got them, but it said they were invalid in the Beta Center. I just figured they wouldn't enable them until you could actually use them, so I wasn't too worried back then. But now I am worried that I won't be able to get the stuff I paid for!

I ordered the CE right when EA was shutting the sale down. They told me it was an accident I was able to purchase, but they would honor it anyway. It’s been almost 30 days since I purchased the game and no codes. After countless emails, I am pretty frustrated with the lack of execution on their part to remedy this issue. I am leaning towards contacting my credit card company, canceling the purchase and buying the pre order (I would get the same amount of play time). If anyone is monitoring this from EA I would appreciate some help.

Ok so I preorder my CE many months ago and paid in full. I never got a rave card or emails when I paid for it ( I went into and EB games store locally). I just got my preorder box.. no mention of CE on it. I open it and it only has 2 codes. I phone EB games and they claim that's all they have and all they ever had. I mentioned the rave card and the guy said this is the first and only items they've recieved for Warhammer Online. He was VERY adamant about this. So I go back online, put in the codes, but all it says is:

Don't give it to him. I'd doubt Mythic would ever ask you to send them your codes. Probably someone trying to get your code. What was the username of this person?

I think giving the name might cause undue drama. If he's legit (could be maybe, these are not EA owned forums after all) It would be a lot of worry over nothing.

If he's not, his forum account will probably be suspended along with any forum accounts to the same IP and word will get around that people should be careful.

Is anyone else still getting the run-around from GameStop?

I pre-ordered the CE from my local store back in May. They've tried to be helpful, but they have never gotten any codes or rave cards. Yesterday I gave up and I called GameStop customer support. They kindly sent me 1 set of codes, but I had pre-ordered 2 CEs.

I called today and they said they were out of codes again and they would put me on a list if they got any more codes. They say there is no guarantee they will get codes, though.

I got mine back in May, as well. When I actually preordered, they told me that they had no cards containing the keys. So I took what he said with little weight and called two days later with another person working there, and he told me that they had a bunch of cards in the back; I confirmed my preorder on the phone and he held them for me as I picked them up later that day. You just need/needed to keep pumping them or the right person to nab them since they're known to just take them for themselves and for friends--the employees, that is.

Well, you're right about what will happen, but you're wrong about "why."

If you look, you're getting the "Pre-order" bonuses during Head-start... meaning the camp and the ring. All versions of the pre-order receive these bonuses.

The reason you don't get your heads, quests, and all that other stuff is because they are attached to the CD Key in your CE Box, not any key you have received when you pre-ordered. You can't very well have access to these items when you don't have the box yet :)


Edit: And for people annoyed that were given SE codes instead of CE, you aren't missng out on much:

- Preview Weekend (If you weren't the first 50,000)
- 1 day of Head Start

The rest of the CE items are attached the codes in the CE Box.

This is exactly the problem though, in my case I don't have a 3rd code to enter because I only have two codes. I preordered the Collector's Edition of Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning for $79.99 Gamestop's website (I did not buy it in-store or receive a RAVE Card)...the confirmation email that I received and the information showing in my "Order History" reflect this. However, there are only 2 codes in both the email and in "Order History.

When I first processed my preorder, the email I received had to 3 sections with 3 different sets of instructions:

The first section contained the Open Beta Code. I did as this section of the email instructed, logged onto my Beta Center Account and entered the Open Beta Code. As soon as I did this "Collectors Edition Pre Order" appeared under my Current Associations. Figuring that was all the action that was required, I let it be. Then, we're told by Mythic via announcements that we needed to enter the Open Beta Code on the Account Management site. Figuring this to be logical, I did as instructed. After entering the code, "CE Open Beta" appeared under the Enabled section.

The second section of the email contains the Head Start Code and instructions to enter the code once the Account Management site becomes available and instructions are given to enter the code on that website. Immediately after adding the Open Beta Code to the Account Management site, I entered the Head Start Code as instructed. "CE Head Start" appeared under the Enabled section.

The third section of the email reads as follows:
As part of your pre-order of Warhammer Online Age of Reckoning Collector's Edition, you also will receive access to certain in-game items. In order to claim them, you will need to create a player account and register your Bonus Items code at the new EA Mythic Account Management website. This site is currently in development. Please check http://www.warhammeronline.com/ce_preorder regularly for updates and further instructions.

Bonus items can be claimed in the Tome of Knowledge and are available to every character you create on your account! These items will be available for use during the Live Game Head Start.

Bonus Items include:

I've tried to call Gamestop twice about this already and they give me the "We can't replace codes" excuse. When I ask them to look up the confirmation email they sent me to verify what I'm looking at they tell me they can't do that.

Honestly, I'm not sure who to talk to at this point...I refuse to cancel my preorder because of a mistake (or oversight) I didn't make but I'm also not too keen on the idea of paying for something that I'm not getting 100% of what I'm paying for either.

I have a question. Now when I pre-orderd the SE they sent me the wrong codes, they sent me CE codes. Now I did not know this untill I got an invite for CB. Okay so now for my question....when the game is released, my product key will not work with the CE bonus items (seing as how my product key will be from a SE). However, I from that time on I received a second set for some odd reason. However, the first set work fine. But the 2nd set is invalid. It looks like you've still got to enter your Open Beta key into the Account Management page... but it really doesn't matter since you've also got Closed Beta there.. you'll be in OB regardless.

The "Invalid characters" is because you've got something other than typical Alpha-numeric chars in your desc of that account. Just click that to change it.

Mine is the exact same way. Only shows two codes (well, three actually, but the 3rd is some lame Allakhazam trial subscription junk).

After putting in the 2 codes I had available to me, my account status shows as:

Keep in mind that my preorder was from April 3rd, within a week of CE becoming available. They also continued to sell it on their website for about another two months afterwards. Someone else I know that pre-ordered on April 1st never received an item code either.

After replying to this message stating that if item codes were indeed distributed on a "first come first serve" basis (uh, wasn't CE supposed to be limited to 60k copies?) then I should have received mine since I had pre-ordered in the first week of availability and that it had continued to be sold on their websites for a month or two after, I received this email:

Dear Valued Customer,

Yes, we will charge your card at the time your order ships. We apologize that you did not receive a code but they are advertised at the beginning of the reservation date that they are not guaranteed.

I've went through the whole description of their pre-order version of the CE edition and I have seen nothing whatsoever about their being a "limited amount" of ITEM KEYS. Yes, a limited amount of CE copies period, but not item codes. That makes no sense whatsoever. If anyone else wants to point out where it said that on ebgames, please let me know.

i'm just a little confused at the moment i asked a week or so ago and was told to search the forums, and this is all i found that had any explanation... I had entered all my codes awhile back and all it says is "closed beta tester and head start" what about my in game items it won't take that code... so i am quite confused about that, i dont wanna lose out on my rittenbach's portable camp and my champs sapphire band.

What confuses me is that you can enter codes into the 'Promotional Codes' section of your Beta Account and have them accepted and associated with your account there. What does this mean or actually do, since from what I can gather the only Account that has any real affect is the Mythic Account?
