We won't get into proper titles and such. I'm Bedlamite AKA Nemesis DeGray, let's keep it at that. I 'trim hedges' for the right price. Often good prices at that. The services of that and my fellow Antagonists are for sale. One thing I've learned is that the all our 'customers' have an affinity for wealth. Shiny baubles and the like.

But I digress...The reason I'm here is to cut some of you more capable cutthroats in on some of the action. True true...we can all work alone. In fact I prefered it that way once, a bit of a recluse myself. I took the occasional 'job' from royalty when the price was right but for the most part spent my time sulking in shadows of taverns and waiting for opportunities that might come or might not. Sulk no more my shadow brethren. No longer must we shove one another aside trying to get to scraps from a lord's table. Those who are worthy students of their trade have a place in Hopes Antagonists. There's strength through cooperation and organizatoin that cannot be achieved by one's self. I found my niche and I'm sure you can find yours as well. And, needless to say, there's a great deal of coin to be made. C'mon, the royalty don't deserve to keep all of their beloved shinies, do they? I mean, us and them...we're practically the same. Only we're not afraid to wear our true colors.

Hello Bedlamite. i'm just your every day over powered antagonist. now i've gone out and annoyed the best. slipped my hand against the Legacy of Shadows, pretty much lead the original Dark Phoenix guild, slayer of elves, summoned demons. you know the hole 9 yards as the saying goes.

Now you look new, and alot of my name dropping doesn't mean much to you, but suffice to say i've been being bad for a long time. been around the block in quite a few ways. so i'm just here to help out a fellow antagonist.

1. guild. that is what you are starting, right?
do you have a name? because you know all guild need a catchy name. strikes fear, inspires awe and all that good stuff. the common folk love name dropping so getting yours out there is good. after all whats the fun of being bad if people don't run in fear at your arrival. infamous thats the goal. well and powerful. but you know....

2. Leader? well i am here to lead you. i know i know, i am stunning. i've had people following me before, and while sometimes that gets complex, i will accept worshipers again.

huh? oh your guild. right. well then. you will need to let people know whats going on. is there positions of power open? or is it just you. either way you've got to let people know what they are getting themselves into.

3. oh goddess calisto how can i be as hated by some of the most powerful people on the forums....?
i know. theres alot of people out there who wield alot of power. The black wolves, the silver court, the ordo mortis. they have members that are willing to walk up to ork bosses and tell him that he's short, then can cut him down to size to prove their point.

well for start, you've got to get out there and write. send PM's asking if you can join threads, consult with people about your ideas and let them know your evil and want to be bad. having a human play the antagonist is always good and fun rather than an NPC. but you have to talk about it with the person running the thread. powerplaying is ok when you are evil but you don't want to over do it. remember, if you ride a dragon, you aren't going to park it outside the 5 Crowns Inn while you get a drink. Big bad guys go for the big time.

gotta start small. beat up on the smaller guilds and work your way up. The bigger guilds are big. you alone can't take them on yet. btu don't worry. soon you'll be harassing people with the best of us.

4.Oh calisto. you are so strong and powerful. the peon's flock to your side to adore and obey your every command. how can i get flunkies for my own.

Well for start, that guild intro? not attracting anyone. take a look at the bigger guilds. if you want people to take notice of you then you've got to pretend you are big time. get creative, get catchy. Alternatly you can join a guild that exist and build your own evil reputation. now if you are as evil as me then you don't need a guild but hay, i understand that not everyone is quite as evil as me :D.

5. will you marry me?

no.

Finally, remember you are evil, but no one likes an evil jerk. so have a sense of humor. if you are just out to kill everyone, thats boring and NPC's are more fun. the warhammer world has all different flavors of evil and each is tasty. find one you like and work with it.

:twisted: While I am pleased to finaly see a responce, I'd honestly hoped said responce would be from one of OUR ilk and not a simple self worshiping hoodlum.

1) The title of this thread is in fact the guilds name - HOPES ANTAGONISTS.

2) We are a small guild (and plan to stay relatively small) of RPers - although not hard core. We chose in the creation of this guild for it to become a rogues guild, and (as the original post says clearly) that is what we remain at heart.

3) We started w/ plans for Dark and Light, but after seeing how things realy were in that game (and continue to be) we decided to look at other frontiers earlier than we'd originaly planned.

4) We are presently messin around in DAoC while we await a more fitting home base.

5) Lastly, our original website has been lost, but we have a new one in development. The new site will go far beyond any simple guild site for that part will be the hidden area masked by an RP forum for all interested. Once the site is up there will be notice everywhere - so keep watching, and we'll welcome all to come and join us for some good old RPing.

but when you worship slaanesh it is a requirment to love yourself at least as much as i do ;).

As someone who's been around the forums for a very long time i hope most of your forum RP writing takes place on these forums. everyone is quite good about IC and OOC knowledge, and having things for people to see is always good to get people to write with you.

also rogues are such fun. i hope we get the chance to play a bit.

Just to update: Hopes Antagonists now has a forum up, and all are welcome. The new forums are set up specificaly for RPers, with our guilds workings tucked deeper down the rabbit hole. So, seeing the quality of the RPs going on here - it would be great company for us if any of you decided to stop by at:
