In this movie i have encountered Random RvR on DE server when EN went down. I didnt really pay attention to "skillful" playing i just wanted to have some fun and get some footage. Vid is 101mb and 5:20 long. Dont kill me for 2nd music as i didnt have anything to fit in for the rest of the vid! This was meant to be shown mostly to my friends but i guess ill post it here for you hungry non-beta guys. Movie is faster than normal gameplay but approx 10-20% depending on its part. Just look at seconds on buffs debuffs tho there was a bit of lag sometimes with timers on them.

In this vid i am lvl 23 before templated characters, specced path of stone swordnboard type. I saw some cool looking champion mob and decided to bring it on. As you will see 3 adds joined the fight but pay attention to how long without healer i could withstand :)
Ib is one hell of a tank when played right. 1H + Shield requires a lot more concentration and AP/Grudge management than 2H vengeance spec. Dont kill me for song as i didnt have anything at that time and "run away" fitted this test :)

as to your experience, how does an ironbreaker best protect his allies? I'm talking purely masteries here...would you say a more defensive IB (stone/brotherhood) is more adept at that?

Or would you say that a sword/board "gimps" you ability to protect your allies as compared to a vengeance specc? :)

1h + shield = best defense also of your allies. When u use guard on someone 50% dmg they receive and aggro goes to you if they are withing 30 feet of you. The damage that you get is mitigated by your armor/resists/parry/block/disrupt etc :)

There are also many attacks reducing your armor and reduce healing you receive. Than your left with parry dodge block etc, and than there you see a diff of offensive tank and defensive.

I like seeing how much of a beating the IBs can take, I enjoyed your survival test video a lot.

And the song didn't bother me, though it did seem slightly strange to see a little tank smashing away at those guys to that soundtrack :p

wow nice , this is looking like it will be my main good surviviability fast damage alot better at solo than i imagined and can do some good dps with 2handed axe Also they are a dwarf which is pretty much the only tank i would consider playing because dwarf is the best :P

hehe yeah, anyway if u go into stone and u pick tactics for DPS you still dish out nice dmg very nice even and got ltos of survivability.

I noticed Stone/Brotherhood crits higher with their skills but Vengeance is more raw DPS

I just frapsed IB tanking - INSANE tanking

2 heroes at time +14 adds throught fight, stage 3 PQ , 3 manned, 31-33 levels, Runepriest + DPS IB + DEF IB [me]. Such feat is impossible for any other tank!

This will be HD quality [960x600] has Prodigy - Breath music [couldnt find anythign fitting!]

Such tanking you havent seen yet ^^

Im in the process of compressing it and ill upload it most likely in the evening because ill be heading off to work soon!

yup, tho i forgot to untick "No sync" in fraps and in 1 moment when i had around 6-7 adds on me + 2 hero dragons it sped up somewhat but still looks good, rest is antural speed ^^

File is 318 MB so itll take shitloads of time to upload with my net connection but oh well, certainly worth it.

Quality is pretty damn good tho :>

see part where dragon hits RP with hit and the guy losses 50% hp ? That was with my guard on and me staying close to him... else he wouldve been dead. See at one point where other IB took aggro and dropped to 50% in a matter of seconds?

Im full def there, 30% block, with oathbound kept up i got 33% parry, i kept guarded attack for additional % mitigation and vengefuls trike for thougness buff.

I also had tactic increasing my armor, and tactic with+block and -5%all dmg taken, and also tactic -15% dmg taken for enxt 5 sec after block which stacks up to 2 times.



1h ago i did this PQ again in bigger grp, and you know what ? It was a lot harder people randomly ruunning around OTHER Def IBs taunting mob [and getting whooped]. Other IBs either didnt really know how to play the class or didnt have right skills. Than i switched to MT and told every1 not to taun and we made it swift 2 times

Oh well, I would have preferred if you told me that the PvE bosses were weak, that way they would have been buffed, now if you tell me that this uber tanking comes from the Ironbreaker I am already afraid of the nerfstick.
I can already see the shield mastery changed from +10% block and -5% damage to +5% block and -10% damage (don't know if it would be a nerf in terms of damage mitigation, but for sure it would be a nerf in terms of sinergy with other tactics), the tactic that reduces the damage taken after block no longer stacking twice, oathbound reduced to +15% parry and dwarven risposte granting 15 grudge instead of 30 .

...

Sorry I still suffer from the pala syndrome of WoW, gonna get the certificate form the doc tomorrow. :-D:-D:-D

actually oathbound wont be reduced as chosen and SM got attack that gives them 25% aprry in which they dont even have to spec,

dwarven riposte cant proc more foten than once per 3 sec,

Its very good tanking with good class, if i would screw there would be a wipe after wipe
Dont worry about enrfstick as i doubt itll happen. Many of our skills like TOP Oathstone are kinda crappy compared to Black Orc for example, Black orc has Cant Hit Me which is channeled snares him by 40% gives +50% block has NO CD costs 15ap/sec, also he has +10% block tactic which he doesnt have to spec for and tactic that gives him +5% block with gud plan and +10% block when he has best plan.

Blorc is the BLOCK king of WAR while IB has block + parry but in lower values.

As you see its not that OP and its not OP in PvP and Mobs are balanced around it,
Remember i was specced to withstand as much as possible. Im pretty sure youll find its not as easy as you think. More so that you have limited TIME. If you dont finish it by the time rns out than youll have to start all over previous stage

The Dwarf keep in that video seemed lacking in terms of character and detail, especially compared to the Empire and Greenskin keeps. I hope it won't be so on release.
