Curse Client Question(s)

I Installed the Curse Client 2.0.0.0,

1) Is it allright to have the Client installed before I have WAR installed?
2) If it that is possible, Do I need to sellect the WAR Directory if I have installed WAR?
3) What will happen after I select the WAR Directory?
4) I Installed only the Curse Client, do I need another Plugin for getting a profile?

Yes it is. Though it is easier to do it after.
Yes, you need to select the WAR directory.
You will need to update the Curse Profiler, this is the plugin.
You shouldn't need another plugin. But you may need to update your plugin. Then restart the Curse Client.

Maybe I am doing something incredibly stupid (the most likely case) but I installed the curse client and pointed it to the following directory:

C:\Users\<user>\Downloads\Warhammer Online Pre-Load\WarhammerOnline_Beta_encr

Is this the proper directory, i.e, the one that actually holds the war.exe? When I start WAR I see it spinning up, however, it doesn't appear to be passing through any updates to the server? Unless I'm missing something.

I also don't see any related log files to verify, so I'm assuming I'm doing something wrong.

How does the client get new data ?

I mean, for example, only by inspecting and mouse hovering his items will curse client get the info ?

The directory you want to set is the directory where WAR is installed. In my case its C:/Games/WARBits/. So if you have WAR installed at C:\Users\<user>\Downloads\Warhammer Online Pre-Load\WarhammerOnline_Beta_encr\ that is the directory you should choose. Make sure you do not have any older WAR beta versions installed and that you have your latest WAR version folder set in the Curse Client.

Since you have your game installed in the Users folder, which might cause some permission issues. Someone with more knowledge will get back to you on that as soon as feasible possible.

If you've seen the actual item stats, it should get collected on your end by the Curse Client. It is indeed sufficient to mouse over items to gather the needed data to have it uploaded to WARDB.

Well it updates when I run the manual command from the game now, so that's a good thing. It just does not autoupdate. You're right, I might move the game folder out of my user profile settings to see if that might do the trick.

How are you exiting the game? Are you using a slash command, or a button?

Ok, that is the issue :) Up until the very latest release of the Curse Profiler, using these commands didn't save the profiler data. Make sure you have version 091216 (you'll see the verson when the game loads).

You can update to this new version by clicking Here (psyn://addonservice.curse.com/addonservice.asmx/GetAddOn?pAddOnId=7468) (requires the Curse Client).

Would be cool to see pvp ranks of the memebers within a guild . . .
