Ironbreaker vs Warrior Priest

Iw been spending the last few day's since the NDA dropped glued to the screen reading all I can. I havent decided on what class to go with maby someone can come with some more thoughts.

1. IB is a pure class , WP is a hybrid. From my prior xperiance from MMO's hybrids tend not to fair as well as the pure R/MDPS, healer classes, comment?


2. How is the IB's damage compaired to a WP?

My initial gut feelings tell me that the WP would proboboly be fun to play but then I read about the IB and the though of annoying the heck out of your opponent by CC and boosting your team by midigating damage realy sound interesting.

3. Could you very roughly say that the IB and WP are similar but one heals and the other CC's? Am I shooting even close with that though?

They can deal nearly the same amount of damage.
One protects their group by negating dmg and hate.
The other heals and buffs.
Up to you on what one you'd rather do.

WP could be thought of as a hybrid, but Order doesn't really have a "Pure tank." Iron Breakers are very durable, but have a lot of other aspects that cannot be underestimated. A class whose sole job is soaking up damage and staying alive is absolutely useless in PvP.

IB has greater DPS output than WP if you spec offensively.

WP is best thought of as melee support. The throw up a team buffing prayer, can assist the melee DPSers and tanks with heals, and throw up party heals.

IB is a utility pressure character. You find a buddy, guard and oath friend, and then go deep. A massive point about IBs is the large number of stat buffs they have and the benefits this extends to an oath friend.

Both are actually quite good classes. IB is quite possibly the best class in the game. No other class combines so many useful features in one package. WP on the other hand is a more unique class. They are going to be higher micro, but if played well are also potentially a beast. Right now, I can tell you that IB and WP are best friends. The two paired up should be able to rip into the enemy lines pretty efficiently.

Dude, tanks are very useful in RvR/PvP. Guess you haven't played WAR.
