Orange: Tome Unlocks
So you can't let go of a grudge eh? Are ya stubborn and stout in both body and soul? Like a good drink after a hard day's killing? The Dwarfs are more than happy to accept you into their ranks. Dedicated and loyal, but having seen better days, the Dwarfs are determined to uphold the oaths of allegiance they made and also wipe their hated enemy, the rampaging Greenskins, off of the map. Though they are short in stature, they make up for it with a hard-working attitude and a toughness second to none.

Is it hot in here, or is it just me?
You'll begin in Ekrund, in Mordrin's Anvil, where the Dwarfs are currently under siege by a marauding, violent Greenskin force. Step forward and talk to Tharik Redaxe (http://www.wardb.com/npc.aspx?id=138), the first of many Quest NPCs you'll encounter in the region. You'll unlock Dwarf in the Tome for talking to him.
http://www.warhammeralliance.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=479&pictureid=3000
Go on, call me a shorty again. I dares ya.
Tharik will give you your first quest, Oathbearers (http://www.wardb.com/quest.aspx?id=17000), and the task is simple - kill 6 of the Ravenous Squigs who have been harassing Dwarfs on the edge of their defensive battlements near Goldbrow's Lament to the southeast. Proceed up the stairs and to the one path southeast to get there. On the way to fulfill Tharik's quest, you'll run into Agmar Stonemane (http://www.wardb.com/npc.aspx?id=140), who will give you an additional quest called Fire in the Hole!, which directs you to blow a mine shaft in the tunnel ahead to slow the Greenskin advance. Go down the stairs, but then go southeast up another set of stairs to Ainin Goldbrow (http://www.wardb.com/npc.aspx?id=139), who wants you to retrieve some Sacks of Gold from the mess below with the quest Hoarding Gold (http://www.wardb.com/quest.aspx?id=17025).
Time to start fulfilling those quests. Go down the stairs and kill enough squigs to finish your quest, unlocking Squig in the process. Go west on the map and you'll see three different entrances to the mine. Take the northmost one on your map. Inside, you should be able to find enough Sacks of Gold (http://www.warhammeralliance.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=479&pictureid=3004) to finish your quest for those, as well as some Squigs and Snotlings to fight. At the first fork, take a right and then a left around the corner to find the plunger needed to blow the mine shaft.
http://www.warhammeralliance.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=479&pictureid=3005
How you wish you could handle redecorating your house.
That should do it for your quests for now, so head back out of the mine shaft and turn in your quests, starting with Airin, and then Agmar. You should have gained a rank by now, so turn right after completing Agmar's quest and you'll see Career Trainer Morradok Rugnisson (http://www.wardb.com/npc.aspx?id=50). Talk to him to get some Core Training done, then make your way back to Tharik.
Tharik will complete your last quest, and give you a new one called Filth in the Rough (http://www.wardb.com/quest.aspx?id=17002), to get some cannonballs to fire at some Greenskins across the gap. To get these, go northwest, around the forge and you'll see some crates. Get enough to complete your quest, but be careful as Squigs sometimes come out of the crates and need to be killed! You'll learn about Cannons in the process. Go back to Tharik after this and he'll give you as a new quest. Go slightly northeast from Tharik and man the dwarf cannon, because your goal is to kill at least fifteen Greenskins. You'll get the Orc and Goblin unlocks from doing this.
http://www.warhammeralliance.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=479&pictureid=3007
Caution: Not for dwarf tossing of any kind.
After this, head back to Tharik one last time and he'll complete your cannon quest and send you for a cool drink at The Pick & Goggles, directing you to Brewmaster Eisenbjorn. Go northwest up the steps and around the forge, going through the large building door ahead, and you'll find Eisenbjorn. He'll complete your quest and give you Belly up for a Pint! (http://www.wardb.com/quest.aspx?id=17005), because the cure-all for any injury is beer, and some out there could use some. Jump behind the bar and check out the flashing mug behind the counter. It's some special dwarf brew, and interacting with it will give you the Fischig's Special Brew (http://www.wardb.com/quest.aspx?id=17021) quest. Interact with the mug again to drink it and claim some free experience.
Some other NPCs here have things for you to do. Illidial Windweaver (http://www.wardb.com/npc.aspx?id=78) is a visiting High Elf, and he'll give you the quest Digger's Duds (http://www.wardb.com/quest.aspx?id=17010), to get a Goblin Digger (http://www.wardb.com/npc.aspx?id=2797)'s equipment. Gunnar Klaurse (http://www.wardb.com/npc.aspx?id=598), from the Empire, hands you a task for Firebrew, and Eisenbjorn is the first person you talk to about it. Unfortunately, Eisenbjorn wants you to help, so he sends you to a mine to get Bitterstone.
We've got a couple more quests to grab before we start finishing them. Exit the bar, and make a hard left, going up the stairs and out onto the battlement where Helga the Dwarf Superweapon is located. You can get an unlock by interacting with Helga, but you also need to talk to a couple people to get quests. Rogrum Grimstone (http://www.wardb.com/npc.aspx?id=606) gives you the quest Helga's Roar (http://www.wardb.com/quest.aspx?id=17026), to get some ingredients for Helga's ammunition. Tethren Stormbreaker (http://www.wardb.com/npc.aspx?id=608) and give you Big Problem (http://www.wardb.com/quest.aspx?id=17008) and Bitterstone Legacy, which are quests to kill Ironclaw Big Un's and Ironclaw Bashers, and learn about Dwarf history by examining plaques on the way down from Mordrin's Anvil.
With all that gathering and talking out of the way, it's time to knock out some of these quests. From the battlement, go back the way you came and go down the steps. Now go straight west until you see a passage leading northwest on your map. Head down this passage as this leads to the Barren Reach and the location where you can complete a few of these quests. When you get there, you'll bump into yet another NPC, Brani Gridsson (http://www.wardb.com/npc.aspx?id=601), who will give you another quest, Dirty Green Beasties! (http://www.wardb.com/quest.aspx?id=17006), to kill a Goblin Squigherder down in the battle zone.
Fight your way down the large passage to the Wounded Kinsmen, and interact with them to give them the brew for your quest. You should be able to target and kill at least one Goblin Digger and one Goblin Squigherder while doing this to complete other quests in this area.
http://www.warhammeralliance.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=479&pictureid=3017
Dwarf Beer: Proven to have medicinal properties. No Prescription Required.
Go back to Brani and turn in one of your quests for some experience, then go back the way you came until you are back in the main starting area again. Head south, then southwest of your current position and you'll be back in the first passage where you finished quests. Head down to the main room and grab some Bitterstone off of a pile next to an overturned cart right down the stairs, then head back to the main starting area again.
Head to the right where you fired the cannons and you should see some piles of Coal. Grab some and then turn back and head towards the forge. Go around the forge to near where you got the crates of cannonballs for an earlier quest and you should see a forge door. Interact with this to shovel the Coal into the forge. Now go back around to the other side and you should see a flashing control wheel. Turn this wheel and you'll have made your Helga ammunition. Time to go turn everything in.
Start with The Pick & Goggle. Talk with Eisenbjorn and he'll give you the Firebrew to give to Gunnar to finish that quest. Go out to the Helga battlement and talk to Rogrum to finish up your Helga ammo quest, and hit up Borgor to get an update so you can go back to The Pick & Goggle to talk to Illidial to finish up that quest line as well. You should now be done with this area of Ekrund.
Head to the area where you killed the Goblin Digger and Squigherder. You're going to go down the stone path and turn right to wrap around to the east, where a doorway will take you down to Ancestor's Watch. Just outside the doorway ahead of you is Bor Axehand (http://www.wardb.com/npc.aspx?id=609), a dwarf Slayer who has his hands full with Greenskins. Talk to him to finish Dirty Green Beasties! and get a new quest, Fight on! from him, which tasks you with killing five Ironclaw Goblins. To the right of Bor you'll now see a long passage with occasional clearings. This is the path you must fight down in order to get to the next area.
http://www.warhammeralliance.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=479&pictureid=3018
When I was young, we had to go across the top o' the wall uphill both ways in a freezin' snowstorm!
Proceed straight southeast along this area, killing enough Ironclaw Goblins, Ironclaw Bashers, and Irconclaw Big Un's to complete your quests. The plaques for the Bitterstone Legacy quest are under dwarf statues to the right, against the wall, in each wide clearing. You'll have to clear out the greenskins guarding the plaque in order to read it without interruption. Beware the respawn rate as it is very high here - so you'll have to move and kill quickly. Fight your way all the way southeast and then to the left across a narrowing stone wall til you reach Berruna Grimstone (http://www.wardb.com/npc.aspx?id=605). Berruna will complete one of your quests and give you a new one called Barrel Pushin'. Looks like Berruna needs some help holding off the Greenskin siege on the wall, and some explosive barrels should do the trick quite nicely.
http://www.warhammeralliance.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=479&pictureid=3020
Beware of Falling, Explosive, Incendiary Objects.
Push three of these and talk to Berruna and she'll complete the quest, sending you on your way down the path on the wall to the next area. Looks like you're on your way to making a name for yourself among the Dwarfs!
Let's take a quick look at the area's first Public Quest and Scenario before we send you on your way.
Battle of Bitterstone has three stages:
Stage 1 has you killing the orcs charging from the Greenskin base up ahead.
Stage 2 has you collecting Black Powder barrels from the Greenskin camp
Stage 3 pits you and your fellow Order friends against Kruza Skag and his friends, determined to stop the Helga Cannon from firing on the Greenskin position.
The area's scenario is Gates of Ekrund, where you can potentially get unlocks for Chaos and Dark Elf by killing them in combat.
The objective of the scenario is to control the three points on the map. Control of any of the points as well as killing other players earns you Victory Points towards winning the scenario.
The three points are in the left, center, and right of the map, and your initial run will take you up the barricade onto the wall towards these points.
The center makes for a good defensible position. Take it as soon as you can to establish control over the scenario!
