<center>The Crew of the Sea Stryder

Good evening all fine ladies and gents, and welcome to the Sea Stryder.
We are scurvy folk, rotten to the core; watch out lest we run you through.
Shall ye be up to it, there is great bounty to be found.
But be warned; once you step aboard there is no turning back.

History

Badelt was dead. The old fool had finally slipped up. 'Jack' Rackham was the one who cut his limp body down in the middle of a rainy night and carried him to the dock. Rackham hauled Badelt onto an Imperial ship where the guards were alseep and lit a fuse in the powder room. The old man wouldd've like that. The blast ripped the ship in two, which promptly sank in the harbor and the papers started rumors. The rumors circled for weeks afterwards; the craziest of which included Badelt still alive and having done it himself. And people believed it too, despite his having hung from the gallows for a day and a half.

But Rackham didn't stay long enough to hear the whole lot of them. Two days later he and an old friend, Tyler Ayers, jumped aboard a small armed merchant ship and threw the three-man crew overboard in the bay. They sailed all the way to Saratosa before they stopped, not knowing what exactly to do from there. Perhaps they could find the old captain that Badelt had always talked about, or maybe they were just out for a little bit of fun. One thing was for sure, they needed supplies and a crew, and Saratosa was the perfect place to find both.

The Ship

The ship, the Sea Stryder is a small, two-masted, eight gun vessel ideal for piracy. It is quick and manuverable, but has small firepower.

Lofty Goals and Aspirations

Our goals are the same as those of any self-respecting Pirate – to gain riches by any unlawful way possible, to drink copious amounts of booze, and to bed as many women as we can. It is a simple life, but if it a pirate’s life for you, come aboard, grab some grog, and hoist the mains’l!

Requirements

Just be active and keep the level of decency and commotion to a 'scurvy' level. I ask that all members try and post at least twice a week, on role plays or the crew thread.

Perhaps I'll come up with a nice siggy. Any suggestions?

Name: Robert 'Jack' Rackham

Race: Human / Male

Age: 26

Occupation: Swashbuckler

Appearance: Jack is a young, energetic man who stands about 5'8". He is not muscular, nor is he skinny but he can pack a punch when he needs to. His green/blue eyes contrast his Red-brown hair, which is usually pulled back in a ponytail. He has a small beard or the same color. He wears ratty clothes, usually just a loose shirt and pants. Occationally he dawns a pair of expensive-looking dark red leather shoes which he probably stole.

Equipment: A broken pistol which he is almost always trying to fix behind closed doors (otherwise he's brandishing it convincingly). He also has a pirate's cutlass sheathed on his right hip.

Mental State: Rackham is energetic and a quick thinker. He's always in the mood for conversation which can sometimes get him off-task.

History: Rackham joined the infamous Crew of Captain Jake Swallow in its dying days. Indeed, even after the Captain had left the Crew to someone else. He made a bond with the Boatswain, Badelt and learned a thing or two from him. After the crew disbanded, Rackham followed Badelt around, stealing here and getting wasted there, always trying to evade the city guards of Marienburg. Badelt was caught during a robbery that had been set up by a stranger, a mole for the guards trying to stop a large-scale gang that had been working the same area. Badelt was hung for the crime and others that he was found for and Rackham stole the Sea Stryder and took off.
