^^ROFL well I ended up taking a day off from work and literly played about 30hrs this weekend.

I was watching the list on Gorfang for highest lvl and highest that ended was 22 I believe now if only I would have stuck to one toon I think I would have broke that with ease. We will see what happens in OB I figure 5days of OB I should be able to pull lvl 40 (if I take a couple days off work that is).

Look me up on Gorfang come the 7th I will be Deztro again and a Shaman.

I believe they will be wiped. Open beta characters will be wiped as well. The only characters that will stay are going to be the ones in the head start.

It was a great weekend! I tried not to get too attached to my characters, but failed. Bye bye, my awesome zealot, I hardly knew ye. :) Played a bright wizard and a DoK as well, both were great.
Kudos to the CSR team as well, I put in a ticket, and it was answered very quickly by some very nice and helpful person.

Mythic forgot to tell the coders then because we saw a level 21 running around last night on Kraka Drac. Destruction was attempting to take our Keep in Barak Varr. I am sure a lot of people saw him. I clicked on him because he had a mount and I was curious what level he was.

Awesome weekend, really had a blast trying out the different classes and such...plus at the end I got to see some keep battles...although I'm still not sure what class I'll be for retail...hmm...guess I've got a couple weeks to think about it :D

Thanks for the entertaining weekend. I ad a lot going on this weekend but still managed to play a ton. Was great to have a game that I just lost track of time playing when I was free in the evening, but was also able and determined to squeeze in 10-30 minutes here and there for a PQ or whatever.

I'll definitely be playing again in a couple weeks.

Things I loved:

- Density of activity. Never ran out of things to do. In order of enjoyment: PQs, RvR, Scenarios, Quests.
- Casual Group RvR/PQs was non-stop action, great group dynamics in the game.
- Character development was awesome. Always seemed to be a little something to do to improve yourself. Man choices and ways to experiment an dI didn't even get past level 11 on a sngle character :)
- At first I was put off with some of the similarities to WoW, but I quickly got over that and felt immersed in the surroundings and flavor of the world.

I had some complaints too and certianly noticed the targeting and pathing issues. But overall, I am very scared this could be a long term addiction :)

yeah I saw him too, the keep siege was awesome, I was there for nearly 2 hours, If city sieges are anywhere as fun as that was I'll be playing war for a long time. only gripe was get CTD about 5 times durring the siege.

Deztro!!! I remember playing against you out near that level 16/17 public quest! My name was Perdu and my friends was Merick, I was a engineer and he was an ironbreaker, we killed you alot in the scenarios!! WOW thats hilarious i remember playing with you so well!

Yes thank you for the opportunity. Unfortunately I didn't get to play much due to having to work a majority of the weekend, but I did manage to level a DE sorcerer to level 11, check out many PQ's and of course scenarios. Just this morning I found one of the flight paths and figured out where to buy the PVP gear.

Can't wait for OB to start!!! :)

Oh, thanks a lot Mythic. I injured my leg last night and it might be messed up for a while. I'm sitting around trying to play Warhammer to make myself feel better when I see 15 minutes till server shutdown.

I just bought my rr 8 gear on my lvl 14 Zealot and I'm sitting in queue for a day long session of Stonetroll Crossing. And I'm up at the dye vendor in my awesome new cloak trying to decide which color makes my character look the most pretty.

And Bam! Major letdown.

So thanks again guys, really. I'll just sit here, potentially crippled, thinking about all the fun things I won't be able to do for 2 weeks.

Wow, I ate soooo much pizza cause I didn't want to go anywhere while playing the game.

Ended up with a lvl 15 Warrior Priest, a lvl 17 Chosen, a lvl 8 DOK, and a lvl 7 Squig Herder.

All in all I think most of the mechanics of the game are pretty well done except for the issues mythic mentioned while the weekend was going on.

And damn! Why do keep sieges have to be so hard? I witnessed about 20 Order storming our keep and the Keep Lord freaking pwnt them all, lol.

I haven't heard anything official, but it seems like only the Elder testers get to hit the pipe until OB.

Short time in closed and pw did nothing to help me pick a main. In fact it made it worse lol. I went from swordmaster to witch hunter to black orc to dok...

I will probably stick to my initial choice but they were all fantastic to play. None of them felt gimp but the dok was a little on the unkillable side especially soloing champions with 3 adds and the like.

hey great weekend guys i really enjoyed the RvR....was awesome lots of battels in SCs and world keeps on Mad Dog Pass..nj to all you guys on both sides was alot of fun

i played a Witch Elf named Samidar got her to lvl20 and even rerolled another Witch elf to play again in the lower SCs

to the order that i killed and chased after..(seems i was always chasing someone =) )
was very fun to repeatadly stab you in the back as you ran..didnt anyone ever tell you never turn your backs on us rogue types...that just makes us grin =)

Sorry to beat a dead horse, but what ever happened to this promise for CE folks? I know people that were in closed beta and are able to log into the game now. On the other hand I pre-ordered the CE, was not given CB (presumably because I am a programmer in the financial industry) and I cannot access any servers. I'm sure there are plenty others like me. I really enjoy the game and want to be more involved in testing...why can I not log in at this point while I know other CB folks can?...Elder testers or not, the above said all CB and CE preorders would be in from then (think about 8/18) on...

Cool...not trying to grief them too much. I know some folks were getting in last night (I believe Elder CB testers). Just inquiring, cause that quote from James had me thinking for a week that I'd be in...silly as it is, I - like others - even scheduled some time off around it and then got let down.

I fully understand the priorities in this testing phase; that is, not to give a bunch of people exposure to the game, but to polish it and cleanse it of bugs. All the same, if it is true that the Elder CB testers are now shut out as well, two weeks worth of zero beta testing this close to launch seems very long. Granted, this could indicate a degree of confidence in the product, but as of this weekend there was plenty of glitchiness (graphically and otherwise). If Mythic truly believes they are aware of all the more-or-less major issues that beta testing can bring out, so be it, we'll see at launch. I'm just surprised the entire operation would be shut down for that long...I would think they would have their engineers busy prepping the OB and prod servers, but that does not necessarily mean all testing must stop...just don't get it, that's all.

I would think the game isn't gonna shutdown for 2 weeks. They still need to fix some problems which they are aware of. I would guess that in a few days some servers will be back up for more testing to polish things up for OB.

Let me clarify that the Test Servers Elders have access too are on a separate development tier than Closed Beta servers were.

Closed Beta is now over, and all CE codes were activated for the finale of preview weekend in addition to the vast majority who were eligible being invited to Closed Beta before that.

Everyone who is not an Elder is now waiting for Open Beta.

Won't be too much longer until you are all playing again!

(If you are an elder tester (as indicated in your Account Center) be sure you're logging in using the correct client to connect to the Test Servers and not the Beta Servers.)

I would say it would be very foolish to delete anything at all. I would guess we'd simply patch any changes from Closed Beta or PW to Open Beta.

I'm sure the current Elders are doing a great job testing the rapid deployment builds in anticipation of Open Beta on the 7th, but I think there are many of us who could provide input going into the "home stretch". After Closed Beta and Preview Weekend, many of us want to see WAR become the best game it can be, and would like to contribute to the process. Not to mention the withdrawals we're undergoing, of course :D

Maybe Mythic doesn't have need of any additional testers at this point - that's okay. However, I think it would be greatly appreciated in the community if we were able to help in the final week of the beta test. No threats, whines, or jeers. I believe it was Josh who said that you would be able to patch from Closed beta to open beta and then launch. You don't need another client, just a patch. The Elders are the only ones using a different version.

Yes, as posted above, the Elder Program basically means you have access to the Test Servers and the Test Server client. The Closed Beta client patched into the Preview Weekend client, which I strongly suspect will patch into the Open Beta client, then the Headstart client, and then the Gold Release client (if there are any changes from the start of the HS to public release).

Luv the game!! Brought back memories of the good old days in DAoC, but very disappointed that there are no servers available until OB for everyone that paid extra money for the CE. I thought that was one of the benefits. We got 1 week of CB? Seems like we could continue to contribute to the cause. Disappointed and waiting... impatiently. :(

It will be interesting to see just how many of the bug fixes and improvements ( spell effects) for example will be implemented by the Open Beta.

Nice try.. Even former Elder Beta Testers who didn't transition to the new accounting system were told they couldn't be part of new Test Servers! I highly doubt you will get in! :o but nice butt kissing :rolleyes:
