Career Builder and Buying Skills

Can the career builder be updated so that are greyed out, and only light up when a point is spent to purchase the skill? Currently a large number of people are under the impression that if the light up the background of a path (buffing that path's abilities) they also get all the tactics and skills along that path for free. Having skills greyed out will go a long way to mking this clearer.

(Yes, I'm aware of the white line, but it seems to go over people's heads.)
