I'm really looking forward to a game like this. I had been playing WOW for quite some time, and although I loved the "cartoony" graphics and the gameplay, it just got really boring for me in upper levels. I know most games these days are nothing but a pure raid-fest but WOW was so apparent it wasn't funny. Here's hoping that WAR will give us casual players the chance to get some neat gear so we can pvp with the best of them without having to take off of work or miss classes to raid (don't play I've done it before...dedication man...dedication ;) )

Well I come from a heavy RP background, D&D from the age of 7 years old, I have played them all until my early 20s when I was in college and was introduced to Warhammer fantasy roleplay. The simplicity of the rules and the richness of the world just blew me away. I was hooked I have run no other games since then.
I use to run WFRP semi-professionally, people would pay for me to run the game for them. Those happy times are at an end although... now it is online games for my fix.
I have played EQ on Luclin for 6 months, AC for 6 months, then DAoC for 2 years. SWG 1 year, Lineage 2 (Worst game ever designed) 3 months, and finally WoW for 2 years. I am really really looking forward to Warhammer Online.

Something that annoys you: Being lied to really ticks me off and also having someone approach another about a problem they have with me instead of speaking to me about it.

Ok just in case some do not understand why I chose sagitarious for the one word to describe me here is the reason. If one were to look up the charicteristics for poeple born beneath that zodiac sign I fit it to the hilt including the not beating around the bush to express myself. Yeah it gets me into trouble alot but least I tell you like it is and not try and smooth things over.

I also wish to say that I heard about this new game Mythic is working on from my guild mates. I was glad to hear about it to for I has stopped playing DAoC due to the fact that I am dealing with caroral tunnel syndrome in both hands and to effectively play my scout and healer I need to have quick reflexes which were not there plus it seemed to agrivate things so I simply refrained from playing. My hands are better now and I am hoping to enjoy WAR when it comes out if Id o not get to do any of the beta testing for I did enjoy DAoC alot. I do beleieve that once I get Oblivion it will be a test to see if my hands can manage to play key intense games or not.

I miss DAOC and those I knew from the Guenivere server where I played.

I am hoping Warhammer will be the game for me. Since DFC went offline in Nov 2005, I have been looking for a game. I went back to playing 3rd person shooters, but the establishment of friendship and roleplaying just is not there. I am hoping that Mythic will make this game's server accessible from anywhere in the world. I am an American and would love to play this with my friends back in the USA. Hey all Moroder here,

Have been somewhat of a lurker on these boards for a while and have just signed up now so I can join in on the hype bandwagon! Have been an avid player of WoW now for the last year (still not 60 yet as I RP most of the time), have to say its kind of starting to get on my nerves now with the constant grinding to keep me hooked on it.

I will definately leave it in favor of this, as the warhammer universe has always interested me. Im not sure I fully understand it yet but that is nothing a bit of reading up cant cure.

On game release I would like to (forgive the common cliche with mmo character choice) play an evil/dispicable character. From my limited knowledge I take it this trait can be found in the dark elves?
Oh and one thing that is quite important to me is RP. Does the majority of the community here support this type of immersion? or am i going to be cursed with a "WoW style" approach to it?

Anyway I will be round here on a regular basis so I will figure it out as time goes on.

Final note to anyone who actually reads this: *waves* Hi! I'm Jaden from World of Warcraft. I have been a long time victim of the game and am seeking higher ground before drowning of my own insanity. There is only so much one can accomplish with 4 lvl 60's, a billion lvl 30-40's and too many lowbies to count. I've done hardcore raiding, I've gotten the gear, I've done the grind, I've hit the pvp hard...and...it's all the same. Rinse and repeat is something Blizzard does best I think. When you start a new character, that's all you're doing...rinse and repeat. There is only so much a body can do...so lately I have been using my lowbies to pvp in the best gear aka becoming a twink. Now my twinks slay the enemy and it's a bit more fun...but again...rinse and repeat. I've done it all before.

It is my great hope that Warhammer fills the gaping void in my widdle gamer life. I work a lot and only game up the weekends...but that's enough for me. I need a fullfilling game once again! Help! hehe

During my year and a half of WoW life, I have tried various other games as well and even quit WoW for three months...I have tried Guild Wars, City of Villains, Dungeon Siege (one of the only ones I'd go back to), Camelot, and countless other games...all of them being "OK" for those first few days and then realizing that WoW truly is at the top of it's game right now.

...and once its gotten that grip on you, you never forget your characters...how they look, how they move...the abilities they have...and you constantly compare them to other games and those characters. ITS AWFUL! and yet, it continues. I'm sure my first reaction to Warhammer (praying I ever get to play it) will be, well these trees are similar to WoW, but something just isnt right...

and you know at that point...you truly are an adict.

I hope the gaming world can understand my plight and know that I am trying. I focus on work, my relationship, and my "family". I'd love to even get a puppy soon! But in the back of my mind i know..."i should be playing wow"...

so please Warhammer, this last bit is for you...don't let me down man, i need you to take me away from WoW. No other game has done it yet. I need something better, something great and exciting, i need pvp and non-repetetive tasks...i need the top most lvl to become great and not dull and lacking a point. Being lvl 60 in wow means....rinse and repeat, start another character. Sure you can raid...but what about now that i havent the time? Sure i could pvp, but thats always the same and sometimes only happens once every few hours. Shall I stare at my character for two hours in Orgrimmar whilst I wait a 20 minute battle of pvp? No.

So I hope to somehow get into the BETA of Warhammer, I hope to do a great service and report any bugs or ideas I might be able to indulge the Warhammer Community with.

And finally, I hope Warhammer...is everything you guys are saying it is.

I'm here because I played DAoC for a good 2 years back when it was new and shiny (Iseult... some oldschool Isluts might remember me) and I still remember my time in DAoC fondly. I'm a firm believer that WoW is the downfall of MMO's, and I think Mythic might be cooking up the cure here.

I plan on spending my time here trying to force my views of what good MMO gameplay is down others throats. I, like alot of other people here I'm sure, have played just about every MMO to date, and I'm tired of broken gameplay. This game to me seems like a bit of a godsend, but I'm really worried that the 'WoW' influence might taint what should be a decent game considering who is working on it, and the great source material they get to work from.
