Two years ago (http://warhammeronline.wikia.com/index.php?title=HammerWiki:Current_events&oldid=1413), something happened. It wasn't a big thing, and not many people noticed it. Those that did, though, thought it looked pretty interesting, and decided to stick around. And so a wiki community was born.
The wiki was HammerWiki, the first wiki dedicated to Warhammer Online. Over the past two years, we've been documenting the development of the game, rceording the various ingredients that have gone into the making of this great MMORPG and infusing all that dry prose with the moist goodness of articles introducing the rich Warhammer background.
It's probably worth at this point giving a massive Thankyou to the Mythic devs for making putting together a WAR wiki a bit more pleasant than it might have been - their willingness to provide all kinds of information about the game allowed us to put together a useful community resource at a very early stage, and we've continued to update our content as the game has evolved.
But now comes the fun part - suddenly we're just around the corner from release, and our steady trickle of game info has become a raging torrent. We're continuing to document everything about the game, but it's a big task, and we could do with a hand. So if you want to get involved, head over to the site, and if you see something missing - add it... if you see something wrong - fix it. Wikis are incredible resources for a community to rely on, but they need to be built by the community for the community. If you want to be part of it, pay a visit to HammerWiki (http://warhammeronline.wikia.com/wiki/HammerWiki), the definitive Warhammer Online wiki.
