View Full Version : Armor that bleeds

I have the picture of the Chosen as wallpaper on my computer. I noticed the scratches on his armor and weathering/rusting. Could that be his armor is like his skin and dried blood? I know in warhammer lore the Chaos armor binds to the skin, does it bleed like skin if it is scratched?
I'm sorry if this is a lame no brainer thread. I know very little about Warhammer lore. It has been a while since I posted when I posted what truly was a lame thread and I thank Garthilk for not banning my butt.

Probably the blood of his enemies getting caught in and filling the dents and scratches in his armor. You get that a lot when you bathe in the bodies of your blood rivals.

Good point, but the blood is in scratches of his armor. When slaughtering 15-20 enemies at once and win handedly, you are probabley going to get some scratches.
Despite i agree with the above poster, that it's probably just scratches, and blood, from the enemy, it would still be an appealing effect, if Chaos armor would bleed.
After all, it attaches to their skin after some time.

Personally I dont think armor that bleeds is that cool. But that's my personal opinion.
I hope that when people fight Chaos Warriors, whenever they hit them you dont see blood gushing out, but rather small pieces of the armor flyyyyying away.
Dont mind me, I'm just a single warhammer fan and that's my thought since they got so thick armor ^^

Since when does metal bleed?
Since when does chaos make such stupid pointless things as bleeding metal?
If chaos made bleeding metal, it would be bleeding napalm! Jets of napalm!

Chaos blood! Any time you hit a chaos warrior, tentacles of chaos shoot out and pummel you! We'll call it Blood of the Fallen and make it a damage shield.

It would be a cool addition too have magic armor that bleeds. Very Chaosy!
Also kinda intimidating, just like in the tabletop, with "living" armor that entraps the soul of the bearer, and is just a shell carrying the bearer and the former bearers of the armor ("Armour of Tortured Souls"). Imagine attcking this Chaos warrior, and as he turns against you, you notice hundreds and hundreds of small screaming humanoid faces, entrapped in the armor, blood and puss pouring out of eye sockests and the mouths.
And who said that it was pointless?
Isn't it pointless to be mutated in a way that handicaps you greatly, makes you insane and a drooling vegetable?! Chaos is Chaos!
Just like the "mice pouring out instead of blood" That Paul Barnett talked about in an early interview. Chaos has no point!

Hey, that'd be pretty nifty! Bleeding armor. And the swords and clubs should go "Ow! Ow! OW!" Whenever you smack someone. Or "Aim lower! Lower! The crotch! Now kick! Bring me Twinkies! For I hunger!" How a sword would eat Twinkies is a mystery, but it's one of the many things I hope to see in life.

Bleeding armor would look cool but i dont think that it would make much sence having armor that could bleed unless the armor was cut through or peirced. The blood on the armor would make the armor look better and more combat expereniced though.

It would have a mouth on the lit from where it would speech, but if it eats, it has to evacuate.

Well armor is stuck to the chosen, so it could be some sort of new skin I suppose, but its probably just scratches.

if you get damage to your body in armor (aka bleed) then what's the point in armor?!
Armor should protect you.
I dont see any handicaps in a mutation =/
And who told that chaos warriors were insane?

what is the damned point of having armour that binds to the skin (for WAR anyway) that means the chaos players will have to begin with the best arnour cus they cannt start with the bad armour and get better cus the bad armour is stuck to them

the armour bleeds, not you:p
mutation could be very handicapping- in fact every real life mutation I can think of is in a way handicapping
also, if your brain mutates, your gonna be insane- someone who's a chaos warrior isn't likley to be mentally stable anyway, if they were they wouldn't make a very good chaos warrior(chaos is not stable, chaos is not sane)

There are different ways to explain being insane...look at most inventors, they were considered insane.etc.
I don't think the Chosen will start out with a great deal of armor, maybe he will start out as a marauder kind-of-guy, and then when he gets his armour it will bind itself to him. Armor that bleeds may not make any sense, but after all, it is Chaos we are talking about.

if it has a mouth it can be silenced, if it feeds it can be starved
bleeding armor wolud be pretty cool especialy is it was like a mark of khorne because they like blood lots and lots and lots of blood
We are talking about a world with magic right. In a world like Warhammer. "How can" questions are completely useless because the answer is simple. MAGIC!!! We are also dealing with the GOD OF CHANGE!!! How hard is it to say "BOOM your armor changed because you please the god with donations of money or whatever"
