Adjust your UI.

I just play the game while cultivating. I love it. The screen isn't that big, and if i need to, I can just minimize and watch for messages. It gives me something to pay attention to while running from place to place.

Here is what I do:

-Open Cultivating window
-Right Click the window
-Select Set Opacity...
-Set it to the lowest option

This allows you to see through almost the entire window except the part where it says Cultivating and the soil/water/nutrient and overall timers. If you unlock your backpack and move it to the bottom right (or wherever) of your screen you can add you ingredients immediately when you see the timer change.

With this I keep my window up all the time and just keep battling cause I can see almost completely through it.

Haha! You could always use some of the ale to cultivate. Then later down the road... Mmmm, this healing potion makes me feel all warm and tingly inside.... hmmm, I wonder why?

If you have Cultivating and Apothecary:

open mailbox
start cultivating action
Put in seed
Put in soil
open apothecary action
put in vial
think about what potion to make...
(if you made a decision before time runs out, quickly mail those salvaging/magic item stuff to your salvaging alt. yes we all know you have one)
put in water in cultivating window
put in main ingredient
put in 2 water
optional: put in a 3rd stabilizer
start potion making
put in nutrient
look at what potion came out
Optional: if it came out "special" you can do a victory dance with your dog (if you have a cat, please drown it... you have 10 seconds before the plant is done)
(if you have remaining time, quickly mail another item if 20s mail CD is done)
Harvest plant

rinse and repeat

It's an independent ability window. The "pots" actually take up none of your bag space.

I did the opacity zero thing last night and it helped. However it really is a waste to add stuff to the seed at this low of levels imo.

i don't have to adjust my playstyle at all while cultivating... i can do it quick enough that it doesn't effect my healing.

so basically, i do all the things i normally do, RVR, PVP, quests, PQs, traveling, ect...

Same, especially when I'm using one of the quest seeds. 2min between putting in new stuff, plenty of time to play. I keep the cultivating window open at low opacity and just open my backpack when I have drop something in.
