The Rebels

Your sitting in the bar, supping your drink. Miserable as always with nothing to do - you’ve (although you don’t like to admit it) become a bum. Just as you come to terms with this fact the nearest windows shatters, a myriad pieces flying in every direction. Looking up you do not bother to react - accepting death would be more enjoyable than your current life. But as the cloaked figure looks up human instinct takes over your ‘logical’ thinking. Fear pumps around your body and you dive cowardly under the table. Looking up you see the figure making a 180º scan of the shrieking bar. A wry smile spreads like wild fire across his lips and as if on cue all the other windows are smashed as a figure jumps through each one. In the remains of the doorway struts in two figures, one an elf, one a broad fierce looking man. All around you there is screaming and panic. An acute nod of his head and all of them charge, except himself and the two that entered through the door.
“Gordon,” addresses the leader to the man on his right with a small nod of his head. Turning his head to his left he spoke calmly, “Pilihan.”
“Joseph?” They both answer together as Joseph was speaking in a very strange tone of voice - an almost emotional one.
His eyes turned to fire and he lost what ever thought he had been thinking and it was replaced with shear madness, “Lets go.”
In one manoeuvre the strode forward together one step and then Pilihan turned to the left while Gordon went right. Joseph looks down to his left right at you. While the table is over thrown from were you were hiding you feel an immensely tight grip around your neck. Random thoughts are rushing through your head, one of them being that you were flying. As you look you notice you are now 12 inches above the floor, “Start begging,” Joseph spits.

The Rebel’s Song

The door flew open and in fell the rebels, back from a particularly successful raid. Each one of them draped in gold and smelling strongly of alcohol. Joseph slumped into his chair bottle of rum still in his hand and burst into song somewhat quietly, “We take what we can ‘n’ give nothing’ back.” Then picking up the pace and volume continued, “We shall never be caught..!”

Instantly their newest rebel, Klaus, stumbled in and burst out rather drunkenly, “Smashin' through windows, breakin' the doors. Takin' your money. Stealing your s.”

The mage in his corner chair bellowed, “Be it a fight or a brawl or a full blown war, WE SHALL NEVER BE CAUGHT!!”

Erupting from the shadows Afreas, who has hung around but never officially joined the rebels, sang, quite soberly and very badly, “Robbin’ from the rich, takin’ from the poor, any other life would be bloody bore.”

“We take what we can ‘n’ give nuffin’ back, WE SHALL NEVER BE CAUGHT!” Burst half of the room.

A little squeal could be heard from the corner, as Boggi jumped up and spilled his milk. "Drinking drinks like drunken drunkards, tanking tankards like brewing breweries"

“We shall never be, WE SHALL NEVER BE CAUGHT!!”

Full

We take what we can and give nothing back,
We shall never be caught!

Smashing through windows,
Breaking through doors,
Taking your money,
Stealing your s.

Be it a fight or a brawl or a full blown war,
We shall never be caught!!

Robbing from the rich, taking from the poor,
Any other life,
Would be a bloody bore.

We take what we can and give nothing back,
We shall never be caught!!

Drinking drinks like drunken drunkards,
Tanking tankards like brewing breweries,

We shall never be…
WE SHALL NEVER BE CAUGHT!!!

The Bandits Code

1.)Thou shall steal at every given chance
2.) The World was created so we could destroy it.
3.) Dealing death is relieving someone from the pain of life.
4.) Thou shall not run from a fight.
5.) Thou shall never be caught.
6.) Thou shall not drink alcohol… to the excess.;)
7.) The law was made so we could break it at thy own will.
8.) Thy Bandits Code must be honoured onto thy own death.

Basic Information!

Right I invented the rebels because it was original and lots of fun (trust me it is). But also it was always in the back of my min, ‘WO might still be on, WO might still be on…’ And now it turns out it is. Well I feel (unlike most guilds) this guild would work in game. But being a strong role-playing guild when the game comes out we will still role-play.

Rules

There will be strict rules and severe punishments - ultimately a ban from the guild. The rules are as follows:

Not everyone is equal. If someone is a higher rank than you, although, if they are kind, they will talk equally to you, you must show them great respect and except what ever they say or do. Do not argue with them. If you have even the smallest problem (like a miss use of grammar that they think is correct) then talk to me over msn or send an email about it. I will look into what ever it is.

All members will post once a week. If you do not state that you might not be able to post, or if you do not email me telling me so, then do not expect to be in the guild when you get back. And do expect to have to do the trial again if you want back in.

All council attending member must post twice a week on the guild thread - along with once a week on the council thread. Fail to do so will lead in being striped of your title.

There will be non of the following: swearing, spam, ‘1337’, flaming or bullying - especially anything racial. All of these cases will be looked into deeply.

Meh by now I bet your thinking I am a stuck up strict sado…not the case. I am really fun and I am sure I will get along with you. Just that the last guild (as I lost control) went from 18 members to the pits.

History

Joseph set out in his young life to, as he was told was the right thing to do, kill anything evil. This seemed fair enough so he joined the Emperor’s Chosen. A very high ranking guild but he managed to get in because of his exceptional Long-Sword skills. Many years he was there, making his way up the ranks. But he realised that there was no point in fighting.
So he set out to unite the world in peace. This failed and he hated the world even more than before. He went back to his disciplined style but this time making everyone else feel his hate by raiding taverns. They were the organised Rebels. This also failed and they lost their discipline now ‘The Rebels’ are one of the most in-famous band of thieves in Empire.

The Ranking

The Rebels are a band of… Rebels you may think. Spose you would be right. But they have a very strong feeling for pride. Joseph along with his best friends Gordon and Pilihan (ooc: if they choose to rejoin the Rebels) have supreme power over the rest but within them there are a few that stand out in each group a bit more than the others. These have to attend a council (which will be a role-play) with Joseph, Pilihan and Gordon every week. Inside this role-play it will be an in character debate of what we have perhaps discussed within the guild. All members can come if they wish and this is a perfect place to put forward idea’s etc. If these council members fail to do so they will fall back along the ranks of what ever they were before.

Elite’s - This is the top of the top. Super hard to get in. These people will have to attend high council as well as council to keep their position. It is held every two weeks. Failing to attend either of these councils will end up with them being demoted and will have to work for the position again.

Squad Leader - To rise to this position is a hard task to achieve. As more rebels join There will be more squads therefore there will need to be more squad leaders. They will be incharge of 5 reels each ad will lead them in the raid. They will also nominate a second in command for that squad.

Second in Command - This person is elected by the squad leader. They will not have to attain council to keep the position but can be part of it if they wish.

General Rebels - These are the main bulk of the Rebels. Every member will be in this group although the one’s lacking a specific talent will be in here only. They will be arranged into squads of 5 each with a squad leader. So four and a leader.

Arsonist - Obviously a guy that uses fire on his side. A mage could request this position if they wished, if they were pyromancer of course.

Master Arsonist - Once you have proved your self as a worthy rule abiding arsonist you may get the rank of master arsonist. You will be head of the Arsonists and will have to attend council every week. If you are really good then you may get a place in the Elites.

Assassins - Meh, much the same as Arsonists but assassins.

Master Assassin - I trust be now you get the idea.

Pick Pockets - Getting bored yet? :P These guys pick pockets, but is what any thief should apply as even if pick-pocketing is not their thing.

Master Pick Pockets - Yeah you knows it.

Scouts - there will only be one lot of scouts as I am not expecting much. But if a few do appear than a leader will be chosen and the Master Scout place introduced.

Others - There will be, unless guild does get really large one cook, one brewer and one planner and strategist.

The Trial

You may seem some of the trial pointless and un-needed but if you fail to complete any of these things you will not be accepted. This is not a slack guild. The trial is as follows;

Copy n paste the form (located at the bottom) then fill it out. If you feel you can’t fill in a certain past just type N/A in the box. I do understand some people do not want their age and name known… I accept that (barely).

You will also have to (as well as filling in the form): devote at least one line of your signature to the rebels and join us on a raid and/or role-play.

Trial Members: The Bean (Gorgoth)

why hello everybody!
Good to see that we finally have this new thread up here.

Yes, my apologies for my recent absence I have been very busy of late; and I mean very busy. :P
So I haven't really been keeping too close an eye on the role-playin all honesty, so my knowledge of any progression in it through recent weeks I must confess that through no fault of my own is quite limited.

And also, indeed as soon as someone makes a breakthrough kind of post on the role-play I can get back into things, but I don't really view myself in any position to do that right now. It'll have to be someone who's been more active than me lately.

Cheers guys

J_Heldenhammer

Right ok; charter up and blank. This is because I will only count the people that post here and in the roleplay (which I will make major update in) as members of this guild. Also I need to tighten up so I apologise now if some people go out with bad feelings... even a hatred of me - tough. We're going to tighten up here so the Rebels can rise again to being one of the best guilds on the boards.

You will be rated mainly of the quality of your roleplay post - this is rated by me and me only. You may think I made a wrong decision - and in some cases I will allow second chances - but it's tough luck.

Oh and on a lighter note: Welcome to Thread II and a round of applause to Oldtree for his skills in the Grand Tournament. Also with the progression of the roleplay I am going to introduce the Rebels council - which the higher members of the guild will have to attend to maintain there authority. This will take place in another thread and be meetings held every week. Basically it is to discuss (in character) some of our thoughts here... promotions etc.

Edit: Good idea, that's what we'll do.

A thread for the Council? Whouldn't it be easier with MSN/AIM?

Hey! Just posting on the new thread, finally...
yea, that's it, flex

Rimner

I'm here. Just waiting for something exciting to happen, and it seems something exciting is about to happen. Yeah, a seperate thread for the council wouldn't work as well as MSN.

Count_Lucifer

woops lol apparently you can't delete your post after somebody's posted under you so I guess you will all just have to deal with my post forever! Muahahaha! Better not make me angry or I could post some nasty stuff up there :P

Alright well I'll go over and check out the roleplay, and yes I WILL FINALLY POST ON DUST TO DUST before tonight is over. Hopefully I'll get a good long post in there that brings us to breakfast so we can get ready to leave that dusty little tavern.

Ooooh a council, so much mystery, so much intrigue :P but first you'll need senior members before you can have a senior council. Looks like you'll finally have to start promoting some people :P

J_Heldenhammer

Glad to see you guys are here. Well yesterday I did have a nice big juicy turn-a-round post on our roleplay... then my mum walks in and asks if she can briefly use the internet to check some online banking... I ctrl+T for a new tab and then leave her to it whilst I nip down stairs to quickly get some bread (mmmmm) come back up....woot closed the whole damned thing; post and all :)

Anyways I'll get a similar post up later on today...

And yes I fully understand the fact that we will need senior members; which requires promotions. They will take place in the latter parts of our roleplay.

Edit: Ok didn't get the post up - it will have to come tomorow.

I'm back! Hay I heard that moan!!! :x

Anyways now i'll have more time to check the RP and these forums (altough i do have a history asignment due). Sorry about my long absence but I was busy.

OK time to catch up on the RP

J_Heldenhammer
03-01-2006, 12:42 PM
Ok the post's up. It's not great - but hopefully sets the scene and is open enough for you to have fun getting your character to Joseph. All the members that have posted here already - you have my confidence in succeeding. However I will say this, hopefully to help you (certainly not in a disrespectful, insulting way). Dog, out of those that have turned up here, it is you I believe (from what I have seen so far) will have the least chance of getting in.

So bear that in mind and impress :)

Edit:

OOC: This post is sloppy, unrevised and I typed it as it came to me, but it's honest. If I spent agonizing minutes staring at every phrase, then that would be no indication of any posts I'll make in the future. Take it or leave it.

I think I'll take that Will, well played and passed my judgment. My advice to revise yuor posts etc was only a suggestion. You however, have shown that it can be done without that and enjoyed your post. I will wait to see what everyone elses posts are like before 'offically' passing you, but I think you can see yourself in a pretty safe spot.

Rimner
03-01-2006, 08:21 PM
Hehe, you may think the roster is empty J, but me and Davakas are still under the Scouts section. And quit being so hard on yourself, your post wasn't too bad. :p

Anyways yeah I posted too, and I can't wait to read the rest of the posts as they come. We're gonna have to lay off the fighting for a while as everybody seems to have gotten their butts kicked so far. That is, if I don't get booted.

J_Heldenhammer
03-02-2006, 12:24 AM
*Looks at roster.... mumbles a couple of curses and death wishes under his breath*

Well it's empty now!

Another good post on the roleplay; you both took to the situation better than I had first thought you guys would. That is to say you put your character through what I was hoping you would.... as for the quality of the posts... terrible.

Heh only joking, so far so good and I also eagerly await the ones to follow.

Watcher
03-02-2006, 09:55 AM
I wasn't making a criticism J, I was just saying that if I put my heart and soul into the post then it would be unfair on the guild, as that's not what I do with any but the most important of pots.

And about letting my character get beaten? My first (and only for a year or so) character on these forums was a elven assassin, and the cries of powerplaying potential came echoing from far and wide. You learn very fast that unless a character like that takes a kicking or two (elves, after all, are fairly weak) then those cries become accusations.

I even let the poor sod die in one RP... I guess that's the end of his life, and current RPs with him in are around the middle.

J_Heldenhammer
03-02-2006, 12:48 PM
Yeah I understood what you were getting at Watcher, and I see where you are coming from and except it. Oh and beatings are good, love reading people's posts in which their character is taking the spanks. :)

Ok just gonna re bump the thought of a guild avatar - even idea if you're not going to make. Also I was considering bringig back fight club - that was always a lot of fun... any of you that remeber comment on that :P

And finally; check list of people to post their post which I will judge, only going to pass the guys once all have been posted - unless looking like someone isn't go to post... or if they say they're not going to.

* Count Lucifer - nope
* DarkBlade - posted
* Oldtree - nope
* flex - posted
* Rimner - posted
* Watcher7 - posted
* dog - nope

flex
03-02-2006, 05:27 PM
Yea, I'm gonna post soon, but I'm pretty busy right now so I'll try to get it in tonight anyway...

fight club? was that here in the last forums? because I don't even remember hearing about it....

flex

Rimner
03-02-2006, 05:34 PM
I will once again offer to make an avatar. All I need is a basic idea of what everyone is thinking.

And I was in Fight Club, strangely enough I never fought anyone...

J_Heldenhammer
03-02-2006, 11:47 PM
Rimner - that version of fight club was an attempted remake that never caught on - the first edition was kinda massive with everyone in the middle sector of the roleplaying range - i.e. people that wouldn't join GT for example but would join taverns etc.

Anyways flex it was basically sparring in which the two player would post an unarmed fight where they take it in turns making a post of say 300 words simultaneously until an assigned judge would see fit and post a followi9ng 300 word post that finished off the fight: i.e. had one character beat another.

Another good post Lysa..... *ahem* flex there, I'll check you off the list.

And Rimner I'm not too sure about an avatar idea but perhaps (as to base it on what the smilie was 'supposed' to be) a four leaf clover with a dagger or something. Just go ahead and make a few and post the link to them here.

Edit: *looks down* What you said about the smilie stuff.... exactly - you should see what's happened to the Rebels in the past, we run low on luck.

flex
03-03-2006, 04:41 PM
Thanks, moron *ahem* I mean Joseph! Glad you liked the post. (Yea, I know I suck at insults and the like)(Oh, and shut up Rimner)

Ok, now back to necessary stuff. I don't see why it would be a fourleaf clover with a knife through it...that's kinda like we're saying we have bad luck. I guess...not really...this would be hard, but maybe like a cloaked figure or something...yea, my ideas are bad but somebody work off of it...

flex
p.s. Count! When is anybody gonna post on 'Dust to Dust' or whatever that thing's called. I'm getting restless! I've posted last on the four roleplays I'm in! Is everybody sleeping?
bye bye now!
flex

Watcher
03-04-2006, 07:57 AM
I think the clover idea is very fitting.

Edit: My reasoning (which I neglected to post earlier) is that not only would it be a representation of the beginning of the guild, but it would also represent what we do to others.

Or something like that...

DarkBlade
03-04-2006, 09:11 AM
There we go, posted up on the rp...not before time eh? :P So do remember to check me off the list too J, cheers guys.

J_Heldenhammer
03-04-2006, 01:25 PM
Another decent post - thank you. One enquiery though... is it just me or did someone take Lazarus inside... into that room....undress him completely save for leaving his mask on - kinky. ;)

Anyways consider yourself checked for the list.

So the avatar - seems the four leafed clover accompanied/pierced by a knife seems to be going down well with everyone ('cept flex) so Rimner if you could knock something up we can all have a look.

Finally, Lucifer, Oldtree and dog - well it would probably be fitting if Lucifer's was last anyway - seeing as everyone has included him into their posts, Oldtree rarely posts around here as of late - but I know he reads it all... maybe he is working on something.

And dog - well I dunno.

flex
03-04-2006, 03:37 PM
hey, i didn't say I completely hated it,
just if Rimner could make it look good it'd be cooler. or more cool, whichever suits you.

flex

Rimner
03-04-2006, 03:40 PM
Well personally I like something with a feathered hat and rapier, but I suppose I can work a four-leafed clover in there. Maybe a pistol too...

J_Heldenhammer
03-04-2006, 04:06 PM
Yeah go for it - make a range of things so we can vote on them.

Edit: *reminder* Could everyone make 'The Rebels' a link in their sig - link's on the first post.

Rimner
03-04-2006, 04:35 PM
I'll post stuff as I get it made, here's something along the lines I was thinking...

http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f371/Griz31/emblem.jpg

Thoughts?

EDIT: Oh yeah, and I'd put the link in my sig, but I've already got too many characters- so I can't.

EDIT 2: I just noticed that you don't have Rudger on the list J. You'd better put him on it before his gets pissed.

J_Heldenhammer
03-05-2006, 07:10 AM
Yeah that looks quite nice - however something like that thrown on top of a four leaf clover might be good.
About your sig... meh, oh well and about Rudger... well the list is of that who have posted on this thread, once he posts here he gets on the list; dunno what he's doing currently though.

flex
03-05-2006, 08:49 AM
...what is it with you guys and the four leaf clover?

But yea, that does look pretty shveet only if it had a cool background...that maybe wasn't a shamrock...

strange, I really don't know what I have against the little green thing. Meh, my vote probably doesn't count anyway, seeing as everyone else likes it....

Rimner
03-05-2006, 12:28 PM

Hmm like that but good.

And flex - it came about as an ironic feature... the rebels seemingly all out of luck stumbled across a tavern named the Four Leafed Clover. Ever since it has been our symbol dispute our bad luck.

flex

Come on now, all i have is Microsoft Paint you know. You guys can all feel free to make one of your own you know.

J_Heldenhammer
03-05-2006, 03:36 PM
You only have paint... hmm ok we have a problem. Post the links to those images and I will knock them together properly on photoshop, there's a good not-so-up-to-date-with-programs-person. :)

I hope the others can get their posts on the roleplay soon.

Flex I am sorry but if I see something like: "does n e one no where count ran off to?" again I will be forced to take action - I despise it, ok in IM programs but come on only takes a few more seconds to type correctly...

In answer to your poorly written question: no.

And Rimner, cheers - I'll see what I can knock up later. And I do agree - was pretty nice for a paint attempt.

Edit: Ok this is -nothing- compared to draft one... modded it so much - man I suck with photoshop compared to someone with 'moderate' skill. Anyway this is what I finally came up with - not completely satisfied with it.... but hell oh well.

Edit2: *Looks back at Rimner's* Erm... well it's the best we got so far.

flex
03-06-2006, 04:29 PM
Hmmm... sorry I'll try to satisfy you completely J. Apparently I can read minds.

Well, that is quite an emblem. I dunno, it's pretty shveet, but I don't know if I like the guy in the background. Wierd, I guess I don't like anything today. But yea, if everyone decides on that one I'm good with it. Okay maybe I should stop talking now. Since only three people have been in this whole conversation...lata

Rimner
03-06-2006, 06:04 PM
What has this become, the make fun of Rimner's excellent Paint skills thread? If I had photoshop I'd wipe the floor with all of you (especially you, yes you). And just face it, you know my little clover thing is sexy.

I like your little thing except perhaps the guy in the background, which coincidentally has the symbol of NURGLE on his forehead.

Oooooooh, I think flex wants to fight. Be careful, she'll read your mind...

J_Heldenhammer

What we're not rolling Nurgle worshipers at the release of the game...? ;) Meh, my bad - was tired and getting frustrated. I'll have another bash this evening. And yeah I'll keep from getting too close to flex, and will also were one of those pro tin foil hats so she can't read my mind:

Imba mind reading preventing hats. (http://www.jesusfreakhideout.com/movies/pics/signs2.jpg)

I'd probably hurt myself because there is nothing in there anyway. JK (if you couldn't comprehend this symbol 'jk' stands for 'just kidding')

Um, dude, that would look SO shveet if you had the fourleaf clover in the back ground, but then the white would be black but you still have that cool this 'woooshy' thing that swirls around and the words 'THE REBELS' Yea, that'd look pretty cool, but I'm not doing it, so I don't really matter.

Where has everyone gone to? It looks like it's just J, Rimner, and me in here! I'm getting lonely for smarter company....

Aye it seems there is just the three of us... I feel a song coming on (or was it: just the two of us?). I have come up with a second attempt at the avatar - I didn't start over as I am too lazy... just tweaked as I found a clover pic.

...that's supposed to be a fourleaf clover? OHHHHH! Now I see it. Yea, once you look at it for a while it looks pretty good. I can see the gun...but what's that long thing sticking out from the clover, but not the stem. Is that supposed to be a sword of some type? Yea, if someone didn't tell me what it was I'd only be able to figure out the pistol, (unnecessary comma) and the words.

I think the words are too big also.

But good job anyway. I am impressed that it looks actually that good! Ha! Better than those idiots from Silver Court. Did I already mention I hate them...?

Anybody have any happy pills? By that I mean sugar pills, not any of those drugs...that's not me. I'm pretty much pissed off at this whole website because everyone is sleeping and the roleplaying is boring. Com'n people! Get moving! I'm sick and tired of having nothing to do! Well, I'm off to do my one of four projects that are due on Fri. See what you made me do! Homework!

03-07-2006, 06:23 PM
Flex you dummy that's the hat with the feather in it. Can't you see it. It's not a line coming off the clover, sheesh.

I'm not sure I like it that much. But I'm not the only one here.

flex
03-07-2006, 06:29 PM
Ohhhh! It's not my fault I can't tell the difference between a black line and a black background!

But still, good job for actually trying and doing better than Rimner, J.

EDIT: You're a retard, Rimner.

Yea, that one is pretty cool, except for this time I think the words are too small and the clover would be good except for those wierd dots on the leaves. I know, I'm picky...

EDIT EDIT: I forgot something. Maybe we could just go without words? I think that might fix it, because the background on this one is awesome.

J_Heldenhammer
03-08-2006, 12:09 AM
Right lets not post again on page four until someone else returns from the dead... so flex you can edit your above post, I'll edit this one and Rimner can edit the one he is about to post below ;)

I guess if we get to like 4 edits each then we can post again...as things might get confusing.

Anyway - mark 3 of the avatar:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v485/Heldenhammer/Rebelsavcopy3.png

Edit: Hmm ok, so remove the text, and the dotty things on the clover I am sure I can deal with. However thi is the best clover pic by far - is it the colour yu don't like Rimner?

Rimner
03-08-2006, 12:20 PM
Well I like that one except for the actual clover itself. Maybe with a different clover... But what does flex think?

EDIT 1: Well of those two I like the second one (the one with text), however personally I'd like to see another element involved. But if nothing else the second one is pretty good.

Hmm... I'd better pitch in...

Well, I really don't think you should have "The Rebels" written in the avatar. I don't think it needs it and it would be too much. Also, the stem shouldn't be displayed so much. Rather have the four leaves on top, perhaps overlapping each other, and then have the stem sticking out on the side underneath. Lastly I liked the idea of having the sword and the pistol crossed over the clover. The feathered hat is nice, although I think that it would either be too big and cover too much in the avatar, or be too small to be recognized.

Watcher
03-09-2006, 10:05 AM
I think maybe the rapier or the pistol.

That clover's great though. And definitely no text.

Edit: I love the one on the left, but without the hat.

Oldtree
03-10-2006, 05:04 PM
The avatar... Well, it's an icon. A symbol of this guild. So it doesn't need to look lifelike, just representative. As for your latest incarnation, my comments are still the same. Perhaps I should elaborate. I think that the four leaves should be centered in the avatar, your current one has the leaves too high up in the picture. The stem would just be a short add-on to complete the clover. This would be the background of the guild, our most representative image. But as you say, it looks a bit bare. This is when we ornate the design by adding on something more that might give it more depth. We should choose something in the rebellious style. Now we're not barbaric and evil, so we choose something a bit sophisticated. My suggestion here would be a rapier and a duelling pistol, crossed in front of the clover. Since these are two duelling weapons, perhaps they could represent how we are challenging the society? Also, they should not pierce the clover like your sword did ( Is that blood? ), but be crossed in front with the handles to the weapons on the lower leaves.

Do you think you would give that a try, Joe?

Roleplay? Oh, yes, that one. Humm humm, well... Now that I've finished my last mid-term today I should be able to read through it tomorrow and post Boggi's current status.

I see where you're coming from now Oldtree... I did indeed try what you suggested but I ended up getting slightly stressed, hitting the 'slayer/pantera' playlist and stabbing the clover. I'll give it another bash though... seeing as you took more thank 10seconds to think through what you were posting here.

Also, like everyone else, what Treggers did also pisses me off.

Edit: Ok, well I don't think it 'looks' as good... but as Oldtree said this is probably better suited (symbolically) to us. What do you think?

Well, as my first contribution to this seemingly mass-debate, I personally take preference to the most recent design for our guild's avatar.

Yep the one the designer dislikes most is in my opinion, and in hindsight looking at the other alternatives, the more suitable one.
(Plus it looks really cool :P I think so anyway, and it seems flex agrees with me there )

Well, there you are then short and sweet *rummages through pocket, tosses two pennies into hat* there's my two cents.

Keep us up-to-date J.

03-11-2006, 05:09 PM
Ahh well looks like we have a winner. I do not -dislike- it... but I think others look better than it.... but it suites us more and is more symboloic so I guess it has to be that. I will keep touching it up and trying to improve - but that will be our base I guess.

When I get some spare time I'll post on the roleplay again just to keep things alive and then those that have already posted can do so again whilst we wait for the stragglers.

Edit: Howza! ok will take some time to get used to new forums..

OK. Flex, Rimner, Darkblade and Watcher are in - lets keep some posting going on our roleplay... but I will start to get in touch with various tavern owners to see if I can grab permission for a raid. This is where the fun begins.

Oh and I will make a new thread for our character sheets - then I can link it on the main charter - so I need everyone to post up their chracters please - upon doing so I will add to the charter.

EDIT: Also, heres my character sheet for that thingy majiger:

Name: Rudger Heldorf
Age: 31
Race: Human
Gender: Male
Profession: Traveler
Religion: None
Homeland: Empire

Physical Description: Not the tallest of men standing at 6”1, though he slouches most of the time and so appears shorter. He is of a medium build with a toned body. His face looks tired and worn by his travels. Unkempt brown hair hangs down to his shoulders and an equally unkempt stubble beard occupies his face. Deep green eyes seem to stare blankly into nothing, as if void of consciousness, though the strands of hair that fall over his face usually make it hard to see his eyes. He seems to always be unnerved and it shows. His eyes are constantly shifting from place to place, looking over everything in sight. It is rare to find him without hand close to sword.

Clothing: A tattered old weatherworn dark green cloak hangs loosely from his body, the bottom is almost completely engulfed in mud. His face is usually cast in shadow by a hood. He wears black trousers and a dark green shirt. Dark brown leather boots provide protection for his feet, and black gloves for his hands. He has never really cared much for clothes and it shows.

Weapons: Though he is a traveler, Rudger still carries weapons, knowing he must protect himself. An iron long sword hangs from his belt. There is nothing special about it. It is accompanied by a long hunting knife. One weapon which is worth of mention is a flint lock pistol. This is used rarely however seems as it is likely to break and he only posses four bullets. Also, though his gloves are an item of clothing they have the potential to be used as a weapon. On the knuckles there a metal studs, this would cause little damage to armoured opponents, but a blow to the face could at least daze them

Armour: There isn’t much he wears in the form of armour. Being one who travels much he has to have as little weight on him as possible. He wears a dark brown leather jerkin.

Combat Style: There is no such thing in Rudger’s eyes. He has no style, no martial arts skills and generally uses his wits and initiative to get him through the day. He has no qualms with fighting dirty. A clump of dirt to the eye, a kick in the groin, it doesn’t matter. To him there are no rules in combat.

Personality: He is usually a quiet fellow. In the past he had been known to be quite the drunkard, but has given up the drink. Surprisingly however, any who would approach him would find he is more than happy to engage in conversation and trade stories by a warm fire. But due to his “uncivilised” look this rarely happens. He knows this and it is usually the reason for his silence. Rudger is a calm man, but like any can be angered by certain things. Pride is of little importance to him, but dignity, is everything. He is quite the paranoid person as well. Though he may be happy to sit and talk for hours on end, he is always on the look out for anything unusual about people. He trusts few people and there aren’t many who he would call “friend”. One more noticeable thing about Rudger is his general dislike for Elves. No particular kind, they’re all the same to him.

Speech: Apart from the odd time someone would approach him with conversation in mind, Rudger is usually silent. His voice is gruff and deep, and in a large crowd of people talking, can be hard to hear. He has a few Elven words to hand, but in no way can he speak it fluently. Rudger can also speak a limited amount of Bretonnian, though not fluently he could still at least attempt to converse with it.

Weakness: He is not a skilled man. He can match a decent amount in combat, but rarely over match. He has no magic to aid him and limited healing abilities, a simple bandage here and there is his limit. Like many, Rudger can sometimes get pushed into a fit of rage and throw himself into impossible odds, though unlike them he can’t handle it and it usually grants him a swift beating.

Hobbies: Travelling. Seeing the world. There is little more he wishes to do. He could lose himself in all the things he dreams of seeing and usually does when he finds them. Of course, to keep himself occupied Rudger will sing poems of old and even make his own.

Skills: He hasn’t much in the way of skills, though he has picked up things in his travels. Although he poses no bow, Rudger is quite decent with one, and indeed with a sword. No expert of course, but no amateur either. Quite a useful trait is his knowledge of the world. He has travelled almost every part of the Old World where a man can travel in relative safety and even to some places where he can not. Being on the road a lot he has learnt how to move silently when needed and survive in the wilderness with little provision for lengthy amounts of time.

Goals: To travel to unfound lands. To find long thought lost treasures and cities. To see all he can see before his time ends. Also to find his father.

Background History: Rudger’s life was quite a simple one. His family had no heritage, no fame within the city of Altdorf. Only thing worth of mention was his father, a Champion of the guard. He would come home everyday, a new story ready to tell. He and his father had a close bond, as did his brother. Though Radgur had always been treated as the better, no rivalry formed between the two and they were always willing to help one another.

His mother could be quite cold, but all in all the family were close. Radgur, his older brother, joined the city guard at the age of sixteen. He was stricken down while attempting to prevent a thief from escaping. His armour was pierced by a close range shot from a gun. Needless to say both his parents and himself were devastated. He was only eight at the time, but remembers it as clear as day. Rudger’s mother started showing little care toward him and she became distant from both him and his father. Soon she fell to despair and one night disappeared. Though no report of her has come since, she is assumed to be dead.

Once Rudger was at the right age, he was promptly brought into the guard along his father, who through it all had remained the stout hearted man he had always been. He trained Rudger as much he could, but the lad was slow to learn and his far quick to lose patients. The man would constantly tell him how he would never be as strong or skilled as his brother, showing the true feeling his father had toward Radgur’s death.

But Rudger continued to try and soon enough an Orc & Goblin army, seemingly formed in the close by forestest, attacked the city. They had little hope of success to start with, mere grapple hooks and ladders were little threat to the great defenses of Altdorf. But every attack must be seen to. Though their numbers were great, the Orc army was but a rabble of brutish raiders with no tactic in mind. But they fought hard and the fighting was fierce. Comrades and brothers fell to the ground and all places he would look, Rudger would see death. He himself managed to kill six Goblins and a rather large Orc, but he had recieved a minor blow to the leg and as a final attempt the Orc had thrown him to the ground.

After the dust had settled Rudger’s father came out with eleven kills of his own and a fair few cuts. Seeing the fight his son had put up, Rathnor Heldorf was finally proud of him. He helped him off the battlefield and the two grew a bond stronger than before.

Years past without incident between the two. Both seemed the happiest they could be considering. Rudger was now twenty five and his father forty. But Rudger longed for more than just a simpletons life within the walls of Altdorf and leaving a message for his father, he took his leave one winter life and has never looked back.

Rudger would oft lose track of time in the wilderness, but he learned many things and met many people. He would travel far north before turning west and heading to the lands of Bretonnia and then south to stranger lands. He has since returned to the Empire but people have heard no word of his father since he left. This greatly distressed Rudger and he instantly set out once more and has been in search ever since, but not without seeing some of the most wonderful things the old world has to offer.

Rudger... not sure if I am glad or dissapointed to see your post here... Of course I am glad to see you back; but if you're not going to be able to post on the roleplay... =/

However, thanks for the character sheet and I want the rest of you guys to give one along with the position within the charter you would like so I can get it up there. My profile has completely gone again - so I guess there will be another re-write before mine reaches you - but oh well, should hopefully be the best yet.

Oh and may have noticed my name changed; this was because previously it had been so long it was cutting into my posts - so J_Heldenhammer from now on '-'

The form can be viewed below, just as requested boss! :P

1.) The Basics:
Your name: N/A
Your age: N/A
Your Country and 1st + 2nd languages: England – UK English/French
Your MSN, if not your email: il_corvo_nero_06@hotmail.co.uk [email]
2.) Character description:
Warhammeralliance username: DarkBlade (The former Phenom of WOF)
Character name: Lazarus Mordecai
Character age: 30
Character race: Human, Male
Character physical description: 6ft 2’’ in height, relatively muscular-build and weighing in at around 250lbs. Fairly dark white skin tone, with long black hair extending just beyond his shoulders, and ice-blue eyes. Has a faint scar extending down his left cheek and a thin goatee.
Character mental description: Well if there will be something in it for him, Lazarus will kill anybody; after all he is an assassin by nature and he certainly isn’t fussy. In the face of battle Lazarus is deep down much the heartless and cold man, but on the very surface of this personality are the makings of a charming, attractive and well-mannered young man; perhaps this is unorthodox, perhaps a cunning guise. Lazarus has a good sense of humour and this amongst other things makes him a very socially-accepted type of guy…eventually that is. The question always arises wherever he roams, whoever he meets, ‘Why do you where the mask? What gave you that scar?’ and these are two very “touchy” subjects in Mordecai’s memory; a time of his life he would rather never return to if he can help it.
Weapons: Twin Katana, pair of wrist blades, two curve-blade long daggers, set of throwing stars as basic weaponry. Lazarus has quite eminent experience in the use of powder weapons (such as pistols, rifles, etc.) and through his many years in practice of the proclaimed ‘Deadly Arts’ has learnt to adapt to a range of weapons.
His more negative experiences in life though have led him to be less in agreement regarding the use of powder weapons in battle, always preferring the simpler methods, therefore is an excellent shot with bow and arrow in hand so also carries a longbow in his armoury.
Armour and Clothing: Armour-wise Lazarus has never been too keen on promoting use of any armour, because he claims it is has great restrictions for the ‘silent killer’ however at the most he wears leather armour on his upper body only. Lazarus wears a tight black-leather trouser, a burgundy jerkin and low-heeled knee-level boots (burgundy also in colour). Extra garments include a crimson half-mask worn over the head and eyes, open-fingered leather gloves, and a full-length hooded cloak made of silk (crimson colour).
Other Equipment: Whetstone and carving knife, one full set of spare clothes, spare ammunition all carried in a rucksack that is slung over his shoulder.
Brief Background: Lazarus was born into a family of assassins and thieves, so it comes as no surprise that he has grown up to follow in the footsteps of those before him. Lazarus was never able to settle in one area for very long during much of his childhood, with his family always being forced to travel from place to place in avoidance of persecution or death at the hands of the law. Once old enough Lazarus moved up from “pestering tag-along” to gain entry into the band of killers/pick-pockets, through which receiving intense training in the both fields. One night, the clan were lead to a target venue for their latest job; little were any to know that their employers were moles of a sort (working for the local authorities) and were leading them into a trap to be killed themselves!
A large-scale battle broke out between the thieves, assassins and military forces that were waiting there; all of the clan perished apart from one…Lazarus Mordecai! Having been fortunate enough to have escaped the fate of his family and close elder friends, an angered and upset teenage Lazarus roamed the Old World killing for money and stealing to survive life of the road.
Over the years he found many new clans into which he settled, though only briefly on any occasion. Lazarus spent much more time as a lone assassin, and swore upon his family’s grave that one day he would track down and punish those who took his loved ones away.
This is when he stumbled upon yet another company of warriors, just like any other he had been part of, apart from these were so much more sophisticated and feared across their known lands.
They were…The Rebels!
Steed: Rides a tall, sturdily-built black horse named Shadow. This steed goes back many years with him, Shadow is growing old now, and Lazarus is aware that soon the time will come for them to part company.
Which position you would like: Assassin
Character reason for wanting to join the rebels: Feels that it is the right time once again to join with a band of mercenaries like himself, one of the few places left in the world he can fit in. With their help it is hoped that some day his vengeance will be enacted, and his family may rest in peace!
3.) Your reason for joining the rebels: I wish to join the rebels because... I was a member of, and eventually inherited the Black Hands warrior company on the former WO site; some of you might have noticed it now and again, and I know our very own Mr Heldenhammer has some history there too! It’s always great fun role-playing in this type of guild, and I do miss it somewhat. Time to re-live an old passion methinks.

4.) I contribute these few lines to the guild song: N/A (I suck at song-writing so I don’t want to shame anybody in trying!)
5.) "I will devote one line of my sig to the rebels" yes
"I will be, without complaining, on trial until I participate in a raid" yes

Weapons: Longbow, quiver of arrows, two knives, iron shortsword
Skills: Coolheaded, Read/Write, Haggling, Hand-to-Hand combat
Armor: Thick leather jerkin, fur greaves
History: Born in Marienburg, Lave was left as an infant to her parent’s closest friends. Lave grew up on the streets, an unwanted child and just another mouth to feed, but learned to haggle and negotiate her way out of things. When times were rough, she sometimes had to fight for her life, and quickly picked up a few tricks of sword fighting. Many times she’d go out to the woods far from Marienburg and hunt birds and other poultry, and this added to her great skill of archery. Lave’s greatest wonder is why her parents left her, and if she held any burden that they couldn’t carry. Her adopted parents didn’t like her much, and forced her to work in their tavern for food and lodging. The first chance she got she left Marienburg and searched for a better way of life. She became a contract maker and salesperson in a nearby town, and worked her way up the ladder. The only thing about her job was it helped herself in no way, so she joined several criminal gangs as the negotiator, mostly only haggling things that would better her life. In one of these times, she managed to get herself an extremely fast horse, named Ryker, but soon afterward was chased out of the criminal gang and found herself to be unemployed again, but her pocket was full. She recovered for several months, seeing as she was cut up and beaten from her former co-workers. Now, Lave haggles through life on the streets, hoping to gain some knowledge of her parents and maybe lost family.

Thanks guys.

My birthday today so I am slightly busy - will get those profiles sorted out on the thread and post on the roleplay tomorow hopefully.

Edit: Been playing around with a new smilie... really hate the current. But, compared to the other guilds smilies, nothing I can do looks decent.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v485/Heldenhammer/rebelslogo.png

That's probably the best I came up with - but for now I am going without (and suggest the rest do the same) as I really don't like the look of our current.

Rimner

Yeah, um happy birthday yesterday.

I would agree with you on the avatar thing, everything you made sucks :)
But really, we're better off without one for now I suppose.

Ah yes and the profile thingy:

Name: Rimner
Age: 2,324
Race: Asrai
Gender: Male
Profession: Wanderer
Religion: None
Homeland: Athel Loren
Kindred: Nymraif
Alignment: Neutral Good
Hair & Facial Description:
His features slightly show a combination of old age and a millennia of hardship. There is still a youthful wildness in his brown eyes, which are complimented by unkempt brown hair down to his neck; it is not rare to find leaves and twigs entangled within the hair.

Physical Description:
A muscular (for an elf) 6' frame is protected from the elements by a weathered dark green raiment. This is carefully woven to help him vanish into the background. When traveling he also wears a thin dark green cloth that covers the lower half of his face. His voice is a low, hoarse one, very close to that of a human male’s voice; and it is not often that it is heard.

Personality:
Many years of guerrilla fighting in the various forests of the Empire have heightened his senses and hardened his mind. In his many years he has come to respect the forests and the wildlife within them, except for the foul beastmen. He enjoys his solitude and is rather taciturn and emotionless. There are not many he has come to trust. In fact, there are only three. He knows what he can deal with and what he cannot. Rarely will you find him in a situation where he does not have at least one advantage.

Weapons & Equipment:
Rimner carries but two weapons. The first of which and that which is his main weapon is his longbow, accompanied by a leather quiver. His enemies have come to know his self-made green-fletched arrows all to well. His second weapon which is kept in a scabbard strapped to his back is an Asrai longsword. These weapons have been with him for nearly 2 millennia, dating back to when he still lived in Athel Loren.

Armor:
Being the silent traveling type, he doesn’t wear any armor that would slow him down or make a ruckus. He relies on stealth to keep himself alive.

Skills:
In his younger days when he was still living with his kindred in Athel Loren, he was taught the many skills he would need to survive in the wilderness. Some of his more knowledgeable areas are scouting, tracking, laying traps, and general wilderness stealth. Of course, being an Asrai, his archery is the one thing no other race can match; though he is not the best of his kind. He is not excellent with a sword, but he has proven his worth with it many a time.

Goals:
Once upon a time his goal was to find a quiet place where he could live in peace and solitude. He has since realized that it is a waste of time to pursue peace in this forsaken world.

Background:
Work in progress...

So it looks like we're sticking with the original Rebels logo then huh? hehe well I dare say it took us long enough to reach such an..."anti-climactic" conclusion.

And many happy returns for yesterday Joseph! Happy Birthday chief!

Well, now for the actual purpose of this post lol. I'm afraid I will be unable to be active for the next week, as I have a whole bunch of exams (again!! Damnit!) at school; bloody A-levels grrrr....
Anyways, I shall still keep up with what goes on around here, just doubt sincerely that I will be able to spare an hour here or there to write up a decent post of any sort.

So best to count me out of any progress in the rp until Friday next week
See you all after I've kicked in my exams hehehe...

Rudger
03-19-2006, 01:38 PM
Well I've done a little catch up post in the RP. Its pretty damn crap, but I hope it'll do. Hopefully I can post more often soon.

Dark, I know exactly what you mean AS-Levels are bad enough, but A-Levels? I just can't be dealing with them next year.

EDIT: Five subjects? You poor souls. We're only allowed to take four, and we drop one at the end of the year. We can just take three as well :D

Watcher
03-19-2006, 01:48 PM
I second that motion.

At the moment I'm doing five AS levels at college (don't worry - I'm no geek, I'm just unnaturally intelligent), and no I'm not doing general studies, I'm doing stuff that's useful.

I'm also working Saturdays and Sundays.

I'm dropping a subject though, simply because I need the free time and I won't end up doing 4 A levels.

(Note: I realise this has nothing to do with guild business, but I've noticed that I tend to make one post per page on this thread, so I'll just edit this when I have something to contribute. Until then this stands as my mandatory one post per week. Now for bed... Never go to work with a hangover people. Worst idea ever.)

Edit: We're only meant to do 4, then drop one at the end of the year. We're also allowed to only do three. Only two people are doing five; me and some girl who does one as an evening class. I'm pretty much the only person dumb enough to do them all in the day. However, when I started college I had no job, so 2 days was enough free time for me, and I passed everything fairly easily. Now I have a job, and so I get all of an evening's free time a week, so I'm dropping a subject.

Great to see things picking up here... and on the roleplay by the looks of it (will check there next). Thanks for the congrats on being alive another year - although didn't require anything special on my behalf... birthdays just seem to happen. ;)

Exams... ahh well they will come for me soon enough - but by then I reckon we'll all be playing WAR... then I -am- stuffed.

I'll get the latest profiles onto the charter page, add you all up on the charter thingy and then check in on the roleplay. All before sending a few PMs to the current tavern owners to see if they would be interested in being the host for our new forum debut raid.

Basically I am just trying to throw a few things in there so you lot don't notice I don't post on the roleplay tonight. :o
Will try and get one up tomorrow though.

Oh... about the avatar and smilie... yeah I guess we should just go without them for the time being. And if anyone likes the style of my sig I will throw up the code on the charter so we can keep some kind of uniform.

Rudger
03-19-2006, 02:18 PM
We're Rebels...do we really need a uniform? That means we'll be like all the other guilds, hardly very rebellious of us. I think we should all just get our own versions...'cause we're cool like that.

J_Heldenhammer
03-19-2006, 02:33 PM
We could do that Rudger... but dispite our band being a bunch of Rebels I think we sould try and get the impression across we are ome pretty neat rebels... similar sigs the only way to represent that. ;)

Anyways if you do want to use what I will be for the time being then take the below and remove the stars and edit the name.

I read the posts on the roleplay and it's all good - seems this shack will soon be a manor house... but oh well perhaps the trees etc were covering it up before.

I'll get onto editing the charter now and perhaps send a few PMs.

Edit: Ok edited up... that's charter on this thread and the character sheet thread - if you would like to check and point anythign out... :)

Hmmm baseball... the only 'sport' which ranks underneath golf, cricket, darts etc on my Most Boring Sports to Watch list. But heh lets not fight... you like it then you go... watch it I guess.

I have been inactive on my behalf becuase of aquiring my new gorgeous GeForce 7800 GS... so been playing with that, tweaking, testing, tweakig, breaking, crying, fixing, testing etc...

We'll get back on track soon enough and get on a raid..

Rimner
03-21-2006, 07:29 PM
Yeah it is kind of boring to watch, unless its either a high-scoring game or a good game. But I meant it was my baseball season, as in I'm playing- not just watching.

Ok well that's fair enough Rimner - I fully understand that. Good luck with it.

Well this post has managed to come around becuase my cursor is currently working... but will undoubtedly crash within 5 minutes... *curses latest official NVidia drivers* Ahh well - hopefully they will sort it soon - but I don't want to get involved in any big posts etc just to lose them.

When I do finally get this fixed I'll speak with some potensial clients for our raid.

Well, doesn't this suck.

I thought this was an active guild *glares at everyone who hasn't posted for forever*
Man, J, you're computer must really suck.

Gosh, it's another one of those weeks. Maybe I'm just "T.O.ed" (the wonderful words of Kip) at everything again because I didn't get to go shopping. *pouts* I never get to go shopping. *sobs* I'm so incredibly bored! Seriously, I was trying to hold back from posting, but I couldn't. You people have driven me literally crazy. Have you seen my hair today? Have you?

Well, since no one really cares anymore I'll just ramble a bit. Don't mind me people. I want the MCR dvd REALLY BAD! It contains four hours of footage; here's me: staring constantly at the man-god in the pictures. Gerard Way! Ah! It's only $20! I have $45! Let me go buy it! Why do I have to be restricted by such limits of the automobile realm!?! I hate you people who can drive but won't take me! Maybe it's because I haven't asked or I really don't feel like going myself and getting it. But meh, I WANT IT!

*whines and falls to the floor twitching* Do you know what I'm listening to? You people have driven me to Emerson Drive! Country! How dare you! This stuff is , it doesn't get my pulse going and my blood running hot and fast. Please, Lord, deliever me from this horrible music. CHANGE THE SONG! Oh, hehe, I have to do that don't I? Sorry. And that's sad, coming from me; badmouthing country when I come from Montana. Wow.

I feel like writing so I'll just keep going. Oh, and don't consider this spam. Because it's not. *shifty eyes* Really. I haven't posted for a whole week+. C'mon, let me run wild. I might not make any sense in this next few parts. But, meh, once again.

I already watched a whole bunch of movies this weekend. They were all boring. Except for The Jacket. That movie was really good. Yeah, and that movie is the greatest other than: V for Vendetta! Awh! Best movie eveR! go see it now if you haven't. Love it, love it, love it, luv it, luv it luv luv luv luv luv luv it. Back to MCR. Have you seen Gerard Way? Isn't he a god? Oh, yea, I forgot most of you guys are...well...guys. Guys. Gerard Way. Yumm.

Ok, I'm starting to get run down. Maybe it's the music. Yea, that's probly it. Yuck. He sounds so...country. Yucky country. Nasty blue folk country.

YAY! Thank you 50 Cent! You have no idea how much better I feel with this music on. It has a BEAT! Good beats. Except for the hand claps. They get annoying. Whenever I type in these things I feel like Strong Bad. What? You don't know who Strong Bad is? *shakes head* Go here: http://www.homestarrunner.com

You'll feel refreshed. I do.

Thanks for listening.

keep on flexin'

I kiss for you whoever really read this whole thing. Wow, that was a wierd sentence.

Well, it's good to hear that you're still sane.

J_Heldenhammer
04-02-2006, 10:36 PM
First and foremost I hold my hand up to Flex's insanity...

But seriously I do claim this as my bad - the whole Rebels almost dead thing. The thing is I got absolutely stuffed with a whole lot of work that I had been putting off for ever - all the deadlines in which everyone was handing final drafts seemed to come at once. As a result I have been powering through like 8 first drafts of work to give in as a final cut.

Anyway; the bulk is out the way not so hopefully I can spark us off again. I think I mentioned before I would get onto some people about us raiding there roleplays. Well I will also hold my hand up to that and apologise for not doing it; I will seriously try and get on to it.

Also the current roleplay - I'll also try and get a post in there, one which will give you something to ramble on about at least flex - oh and 50cent should be shot in my opinion. *Thinks over last sentence* ... in the head this time.

Oh, hi there Oldtree - glad to see you came out from behind that rock or where ever you have been hiding.

Jeez, give the guy a break, he got shot 5 times!!! He's a trooper.

Yes, and it is your bad. As you so say, and that really made me laugh when I read it.

One comment: When did you put your hand down? It goes up and then up again? Strange.

*glares at Oldtree* I don't like your attitude.

...I'm not much of a comedian I think. But seriously, who really read that whole post? 'Cuz I'd like to thank them for acknowledging my mind slowly becoming split apart. God, I love MCR.

THANKS AGAIN

1. Yay

2. 50 Cent deserves a hollow point bullet to the skull. Have you ever seen him in concert? I have, it goes a litte along the lines of "I got shot five times yo! I'm so cool yo!" (We then threw bottles of urine at him... Ah... Reading Festival).

3. Gerrard Way is not a god. He is a corporate sellout. Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge is a good album. You Brought Me Your Love I Brought You My Bullets is a great album. But they sold out, so they can burn in emo hell.

4. I like the number four.

5. Hi everyone.

Hey I read your WHOLE post too Flex, just thought I'd say, and it wasn't as much of a rant/ramble as you may have considered. Heck, at least it sparked posting and some form of rapid activity in this joint huh?!

Anyways, I'll wait for the roleplay to get a kick up the proverbial arse! Then I'll get back into serious posting (hopefully!)

P.S. did anyone actually notice that the most dreaded and awful of things has happened...maybe if I told you what it is lol...THE RP IS ON PAGE 2! PAGE 2 FOR CRYING OUT LOUD! *grumble, moan, grumble*

Ok, flex, there is nothing wrong with emotion. In fact, an extremely condescending therapist once told me that my right hemisphere is overactive (basically, I feel too much).

There is, however, something wrong with little posers, aka emos. Sunny Day Real Estate, Dashboard Confessional, Hot Water Music. These guys were emo before emo existed, and they're all great.

My Chemical Romance used to be indie, and they used to be damn good at it as well. They sold out.

These bands aren't doing it to be emotional, they're doing it to sell as much merchandise as possible and have sex with as many groupies as possible.

And thanks J, I thought it would be impossible too, but I managed to blaze 3 weeks worth of psychology in 1 and a half hours (thank whatever's listening for them letting us listen to MP3s in college).

And, lastly, I'm starting to think someone should say this:

Note to all admins who are reading all this: Yeah, the conversations we're having are off-topic, but for now they're harmless and we're just trying to keep the guild away from the dreaded Page 2 until our illustrious leader pulls his finger out and gets his work done. You guys all seem pretty cool anyways, but this is just to clarify.

J_Heldenhammer
04-13-2006, 04:28 AM
OK LETS DO THIS!

*Casts resurection on Rebels*

Righto lets get us back up to the top and... stuff.

The 'current' roleplay; well I think we can semi-leave that - but anything we partake in from now on will have happened 'after' the Fall and Rise of the Rebels. We can keep posting on that roleplay for funzies and hopefully one day it will be finished. But all roleplays we can 'assume' certain relationships etc that have been formed (and hopefully the reasons for these will some day be explained within the FaRotR) Well anyway I think that should work and be fun.

But yeah anyways I have found a nice looking tavern. There's some cool guys in there and at least one that has experienced being in the recieving end of one of our raids..

The name is 'The Flying Dragon Inn' - it's run by some new guy to the forums and this has attracted a few other new members to be in the roleplay - this could be a bad thing in terms of our raid working out.. but it will be a big experience for them. But also, as I mentioned, there are a few notorious guys in there as well. So... I will get on to the owner and have some words with him - perhaps you guys could start making your way into the tavern inocently... and hopefully raise the tavern's activity as well as our own.

Enc.

EDIT: I have a question!!! Um, Rimner...are you ever gonna show up at the tavern because I kinda want to get going on this raid because more and more people are showing up and since your char is pretty much awesome you should try posting tonight before this weekend comes along and we have no time to post...just a suggestion. Cuz I'm gonna put a note in about Rimner in the rp and I need to know if you're even showing up...also...what was I gonna say..? Oh yea, and if anybody else other than thepeople who have showed up could be at the bar for the raid it'd be way funner.

"funner" ... oookay...

I checked the tavern and god seems alot of guys have flooded in. I will, of course, try and read through it all and then get a post up - I noticed quite a few old faces in there, clearly no-one has forgoten us and know what is coming. ;)

So yeah... I'm back.

Edit: Oh yeah I remembered what I was gonna say.... the guy whose tavern it is seemingly doesn't know about pms - I sent him one asking permission a while ago - I will send another and perhaps prompt him to check his inbox. But, being the rebels we are, if he doesn't get back to me we'll just go for it anyway.

Edit2: Pushed a reply out of him; I will forward it to those that seem to be alive - I can't publically say whether it is good or bad news. *insert poker face smilie*

Remember the Black Hands guild Joe? lol I was there and took part as opposition to you lot in the last raid.

Hehe I remember alright - that roleplay was fun; very classy sort of roleplay (in comparrsion to current with a wide range of litracy skill) Well I've been thinking about perhaps leading out those interested into another roleplay - so we have control etc. It could be titled 'Outside the Dragons Tail' or whatever and could aslo act as a recruitment scheme for some of the better roleplayers - mainly bob whose writing and character I have grown to like - of course having a half vampire in the guild would be fun.

But I will continue as it is for now until any of you get back with suggestions on this. Just that I think we could do with a few more members.

EDIT: Ok after looking what's happened to the roleplay I think I will go ahead with my above suggestion - I will send pm's to those in the tavern to come along and then I'll create the thread. That tavern was getting confusing with people posting things going directly against what you say/have characters do.

Note - everyone here is ofcourse invited and can link to the guild character page for everyone to see. :)

You're complimenting me on here as well? I thought the pm was all I'd be getting. You can marry me if you really want to that much... :P

Anyway, I'm here out of curiosity to see what you guys were saying after the recent rp which is half in existance and the slightly less recent one we all abandoned, but had fun doing. On the subject of recruitment, I would be quite happy for Eleanor to gain some connection with The Rebels, if we can manouver the storyline in that direction.

So there we go. Anyway, if you want to see a bit more about Eleanor its on the Shadowmancers thread, because she was originally just going to be one of them. I've come to love my little fictional bloodsucker though, so I can make her part of two can't I?

Waffling complete.

Flex- In off topicness, the rebels are a lot better than da boyz. Just read some of that. I had a feeling I shouldn't have brought up the price of condoms and such, but did, and paid with some horrific and disturbing stories.

Oh God, I am so lost right now, you have no idea.

I really should not try and skip a day, that's why my pm was so confusing, DarkBlade, becuz I forgot to read page 6 of the one tavern place.

aND Bob, I have no idea what you are talking about...

So here's what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna go look into this rp, and then I'm gonna figure out what the heck you're talking about. But I might not be finished for a while.

Oh, and feel free to send me a pm to actually tell me what I should be remembering, Bob and whoever else.. I feel like I'm gonna explode there's so much I don't understand...

*notes Bob's post*

Flex - things in tavern... try and read up on them to get basic idea, but things got messy with lots of random guys posting random stuff that contradicted what we were saying. Also the thread owner didn't give us (the rebels) the right to completely wreck his bar. As a result of the two I decided to set up an invite only roleplay; inviting those who were making good contribution in the tavern to come along and continue our little story line we had going wthout interfeering. And being my roleplay I get to make the rules - which will be posted up when I get round to sorting everythign out.

*deep breath*

Any questions?

And Bob I think a semi distant connection with your vamp would add a nice spice to the Rebels; so if we can work something like that in the roleplay I think it will be great.

flex

okey dokey! But I still have a question about the avatar, which everyone seemed to forget. Um...what is its current status? I mean, is it in the shipping phase yet, or is it still getting to the factory? If you can decifer my analogies...?

But yea, Bob! Ideas for rp segments are already popping into my mind for the reunion of Lave vs. Eleanor! HHAHAHAHAH...*goes off into her own crazy world and writes for hours (not really)*

Nice to see I've made some new friends. :)

Anyway, yes, some form of connection between Eleanor and your noble guild would be great. I'll be happy to work it in, even if its a 'villain who keeps turning up and to be foiled at the last minute' kind of relationship.

EDIT- Joe, hurry up with the rp, I'm getting impatient. I also don't think Shadowmancer is around, so we might have to go on without him. Luckily his interaction outside with Eleanor was covered in the last thread, so we could manage without him.

Hehe. Our noble guild eh?

I'll be joining you this time around Bob, and I must say I'm looking forward to it. My character around here is a little brash and crude... :)

Aye. We should havin' a right ol' time. Gyarr. But I be warnin' ye that Rudger don't tae too kindly to vampiracy. Nyharr har harrrr!!!

And what ye be meanin' noble?

Bob
04-25-2006, 11:29 AM
I don't think any of the rebels are on good terms with Eleanor anyway, so a fear of vampiracy isn't too bad a thing.

Noble? Of course you are a noble guild! In all your rebelious nobility and such...

Here is my character sheet, hope you like it.

1.) The Basics:

Your name: Sean Edelen

Your age: 17

Your Country and 1st + 2nd languages: U.S.; English and a small bit of French

Your MSN, if not your email: TheBean682@aol.com

2.) Character description:

Warhammeralliance username: The Bean

Character name: Gorgoth

Character age: 27

Character race: Empire

Character physical description: Gorgoth is quite large, which is how he got his name Gorgoth, meaning "giant." He stands at a full 6'2" and has quite an ugly face, as many have said. His head is square and his lip has a large scar at the bottom that cuts down to the tip of his chin. His hair is not more then two inches long and is a dark brown. He has a small scruffy beard and mustache as well. His muscles are quite large, for that is how he has made a living, being a brute. He is not very rich but manages to afford new clothes everytime his get tattered and torn. He has many scars on his back from whippings and a few cuts on his arms and chest from random brawls and burglaries.
Character mental description: He is not in any way mentally challenged. He is, in fact, quite smart, for he needs his witts to survive in the streets and alleys of the Empires villages and cities. He has nightmares though, of his slayings, for he holds an odd and malicious past. He hears screams and has many times woken up in a rage.
Weapons: He is good with his fists, but if need be he uses a great sword. It is two handed and extremely large. Its hilt is a golden dragon with outstretched wings, and the blade is silver with small gold etchings on it. He payed a small fortune on it and never lets it leave his back for very long.

Armour and Clothing: He is usually seen in regular cloth, but if he and his group are planning something big and overly dangerous, he dons on his black leather armor. He likes it for its looks and its durability.

Other Equipment: He carries nothing else except for a small pouch on his belt. This pouch holds a bone chip from a woman he did not know, but whom he savagely killed. He wishes to ressurect her and has heard rumors of a place that he can do it at. He wants a clear concious and this is how he plans to do it.

Brief Background/Link to big one : Not much is known about Gorgoths chilhood, and no one knows his true name. He just showed up one day in a small tavern in an outlying village with a mind to plunder. He rallied men at every tavern in five villages, burglarizing and pushing people around the whole way. His ranks grew to twenty men strong, but he allowed his best friend, Farnor, to take the lead of the group, though everyone respected Gorgoth much more. He had proven himself time and time again in battle, not because he had killed many men, but because he had done so well. He and his boys traveled around and made a name for themselves, The Stalkers. This is because they usually stalked people to a spot of their choosing, and then took em out, sometimes having to kill them, other times just beating, robbing, and running. It was one night in a drunken rage that changed his life. He had just got much gold from a merchant on the road to the village he was in and he was in a drunken madness. Singing, yelling, and fighting. He and his boys went out of the tavern and began wondering the town. They found a family in the road and in his drunken frenzy, Gorgoth demanded that the wife "please" him. The husband stood up to him and was soon cut to pieces. The wife was next, and then the child. Suddenly they heard scuffling from all around. Gorgoth stood stalk still as a large group of the townsfolk charged at them with lances, onld rusty swords, and even pitchforks. Gorgoths men were outnumbered eighty to twenty, and even though skilled, the sheer numbers overran them. Suddenly Gorgoth snapped out of it. He ran to the ladies corpse and cut off a lock of her hair. He then ran to a house they were cornered against and bashed through the door. Escaping out the other side he ran until morning. When he awoke he was still and little drunk but he remembered clearly what had happened. He looked at the hair clenched in his fist and wispered to himself, I will bring you back, I surely will. He lives in great mental pain to this day, yet he shows only anger at the world and takes it out with more innocent killing. Never of women and children though. Never again. (sorry the history is not very good and very un-detailed, but I tried to keep it short while getting a long period in at once)

Steed: He is not much of a rider and would much rather walk places, but he does not mind purchasing a sturdy horse to get somewhere fast, or far away from somewhere. He has no attachment to any steed.

Which position you would like: I would like to be a Thug/Brute I believe, for that is what Gorgoth is.

Character reason for wanting to join the rebels: His gorup of boys was killed, and he had no where to turn but the tavern. He caught wind of the Rebels one dark evening adn searched for them through his contacts. He just wants to like the life of a well-to-do burglar again. Taking what he can and never getting caught. He also believes that he will meet knowlegable people in the ranks, some who can perhaps direct him towards his true lifes goal.

3.) Your reason for joining the rebels:
I wish to join the rebels because... I think it sounds fun and I like to roleplay. I know I am not the best Roleplayer, but I like it very much.

4.) "I will devote one line of my sig to the rebels" yes/no
"I will be, without complaining, on trial until I participate in a raid" yes/no

Hey there Bean welcome to the rebels - I hope you have a nice stay here and I thank you for join at this time as it gives me motivation to go looking for some place to raid - which I think (if the rp doesn't survive) would take our minds off things.
Man so annoyed at that  but I guess it was my fault all in all - I forget that not all people act in the same way etc as I got so used to all the laid back but serious, determined but coolness of all you guys who I am sure, if the roleplay had contained only us, would have worked out any disputes are things we think aren’t quite right or need changing real easy and not take the first draft rules as an insult and leave without giving me chance to change.

I was thinking though; maybe we could bring back the Fall and Rise of the Rebels and allow Bob and the bounty hunter guy (if he's interested) to come find us there or something - just a little bad suggestion but meh ... up early and not woken up.

Hi, the Bean!

Does this mean that I'm not the newest member???? And um, since I kinda participated in a raid does that mean I'm not on trial??? OOooo...now I'm excited...

SO should I wait to post in an RP until I do a raid, or do you have an RP thread open right now?

04-27-2006, 10:23 PM
Flex...pretty sure I announced that you were passed as a member a while back around the time I was being pressed to update the charter. If I didn't I an sory and congratulations Flex is off the trial.;)

Bean - we did kinda have a rleplay set up - except it seemed to spontaneously conbust so we are seeing if we can get it back together; I'm afraid you will have to sit tight till then.

EDIT: Ahh Bean seems like the roleplay is back on so I will give you the lo-down on it.

We were going to raid some tavern... but it got busy in there with too many random new people posting and such so it didn't make sence - so I created a roleplay where some of the key people were invited and it follows this sort of line: Some of them left the tavern and then us Rebels scarpered soon after followed by a bounty hunter. I propsed on the roleplay that we treat it like you are one of the Rebels and you came out with us. As of yet you don't have strong relations with any of us as you are a (ic) new recruit.

Any way head to http://www.warhammeralliance.com/forums/showthread.php?p=46268#post46268 there and have a read through of some of the posts - there is a post mid way through with the word 'attention' at the top in big font, bold and red so read that. This will be a very tough trial as if you don't do well on the roleplay then (as part of the rules) your character will be killed (or serverely injured to those who can't handle death or very near death experiences). So was your character made just for the Rebels? If he was then I think that is perfect as if he dies in the roleplay it won't really matter - but as this roleplay is kind of 'instanced' it means you could then still use him somewhere else.

I do hope you grasp what I have just said - oh and that link is to the ooc thread - and ic thread will be coming soon.

The Bean

Aight thanks. I did just make this char for The Rebels so it will not be a problem, but I think I can handle it =) I will not be able to post till later tonight though so I will be back then! Thanks, bye

I am sorry for my absence - things came up. I got the roleplay up so all should check it out.

Hmm not to sure how you are going to be able to work this one Bean - I suggest reading up on http://www.warhammeralliance.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1460 this roleplay and then seeing what's bee going on http://www.warhammeralliance.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1864 here (that is an ooc thread)

Basically we went to raid a tavern but then left it and like bailed away - so now we're all split up and stuff in our new roleplay (http://www.warhammeralliance.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2095) so I think you should act as if you were someone in the tavern who left becuase you saw us (the rebels) and wanted to join us. Well I think that would be easiest to do anyway but I'll leave it to you. So this would mean that you are searching for us (well me) in that roleplay but I don't think meeitng up with us right away by chance would do much in terms of making me think 'oh he's a good roleplayer'.

Finally I appologise for all of my recent posts as they have been of terrible quality - I will get my standards back soon enough though I promise; just deal with it for now.

Oh and to top of the randomness, poorness etc and fact that I ghave come back form the dead and posted a few times recently, I present you with: http://ualuealuealeuale.ytmnd.com/

Yeah sorry about that sudden disappearence we moved house and only just got internet back (and it's dial up!!!!) but yeah, if you dont want me back thats fine but if i can come back that would be awesome.

Reply to Joseph

Yes I deserved that. I would also like you to consider the following.

1. After moving house and starting at a new school my top priority was not to drive 2 hours to get to the nearest net cafe and keep you posted.

2. I am currently grabing all the things I missed and reading through them.

3. I will rewrite my character if you would like me to.

4. I know I was pretty bad with writing irelevant spam on the forum and I'm sorry.

If you want me to go Joseph (or any of the other Rebels in that case) thats fine. I would hope that I could still play with you guys in game.
If I can stay is there a link to the old forums so I can see what I missed there.
Lastly I make no claims to being a great roleplayer but what I do write I put everything into.

Thank you
Dog

God dammit!

I apologise for my absence (yet a again >_<) so, as a result, I apologise for anything that has happened on the roleplay - and for not being there. I have managed to get on the net here for the first time since I said I would be going semi-afk and man how much did I miss at the roleplay! A lot of stuff sprung up all at the same time for me. So I was busy at first and then when I got a little free time something had happened to our net. The main thing is I am now entering the latter stages of moving house - so hopefully I don't have to say more than that.

I am going to make a promise (and I like to think I don't break many promises [due to never setting a date to have them completed by ;)]) But yeah... I promise I am going to get back to this seriously; revamp the charter, get my character profile sorted out, catch up completely on the roleplay and get back into it, get a 100% Rebel roleplay (or perhaps raid the Oddmans again as that is (well on the old forum: was) a really great tavern and also try and become generally very active and basically give the Rebels a kick up the to try and get some recruitment going which will lead finally to giving some promotions (which will probably include giving out near to joint leader spot in case stuff comes up or whatever)

Man I'm gonna be hard done by to fulfil that - but I will. I promise.

Oh - hey dog.

On that pleasant note of departure:

Goodbye all.

I've never really been that much of a guild person (the only guild I've ever been able to stick with went down with the old forums), and Will Outhwaite is becoming more of a chore than a pleasure to RP with anyway.

Kill him off gorily.

Anyway, sorry guys, but ciao.
