View Full Version : Brillance of stat packages...
I have to say that if Stat packages are what they appear, they could well be the most revolutionary concept i have seen yet in a MMO.
This is my take. Say you are hard specced XXX. But you get a cool weapon or armor that requires YYY. You can stat package to adjust your stats accordingly. Eventually you may hard spec to cover your stat package and remove it replacing it with something else. Eventually near the end game you can use stat packages to round out the niche you have created for your charater that might be lacking in the bonus your armor etc.
Engineers are the most intriguing (and likely the first class) I will play as a dwarf. With their stat packages I can be very flexible in the range and type of equipment I get to use.
Gotta say this really gets me excited to see the rest of the Skill trees.

What im realy happy with about the stat packages is that they showed +1 to stats that means that most people will only have ~ +1-10 max to any stat from gear = Not gear dependent game.

That is great news!!!
And yes the stat packages look very versatile, can't wait to tinker around with the various character builds!! It looks like we will have the option to make our characters as unique as we wish.

I am not really sure how you can even say that when you have no knowledge about what type of stats gear will give you. A stat package can give you + 1 to a stat. That is the only thing we know. But as we all know the game is still in development. This can all still change. Even WoW had such low stats when it was still in development. And we all know that isn't the case any longer with that game.

But in all seriousness, I enjoy getting the chance to shoot guns and throw grenades at opponents, and I do fully intend to turn Krymoar into a type of suicide dwarf (Krymoar = Cry More) just rushing into short range and destructo-blasting bodyblocking orc tanks.

Hmmm I must have missed something, where is the info on the stat
packages? I don't think I have seen anything about it
other than some concpt art.
