Now lets hope we get another patch finally fixing Open RvR servers before the game launches so we don't have to change servers and restart characters.

Is there a designated space on the forum for feedback or do we just post it on the Game play Discussion forum?

You'll have to make new characters anyway. All chars get wiped before the launch/headstart.
- Good notes. Fantastic news about everything :)

Is this going to be a huge update?? I am worried that I will have to wait for the download before I can play tonight.
If this is a huge update, can we download the patch from an alternate computer (like from work) so we can limit our withdrawl from the game?

Hopefully this nails down my CTD issue, I am really hoping it does.

When I start on a Core server and they change the Open RvR rules I doubt they will restart the servers after the game has launched :).

I didn't see much in terms of actual *content* changes in the patch notes. Most of it just looks like little tweaks with no "size" at all. The only thing I can see being even slightly big is the bit about character introduction cinemas and narration. I'm betting the patch will clock in under 100MB. If there's no actual content being added, and it's all just tweaks, I say it'll be under 10MB.

There is an option in your in-game menu (ESC) to send feedback.

well I just managed to log in and look around for briefly before the server went down again, and the new texture cache option does make a difference but it's still not enough. Instead of blurring 10-15 yards away from the player, the textures now start looking like crap about 30-40 yards away. Still very visible and very annoying, they need to add an extreme texture cache option, let us be the judge of when we are using to much texture memory to negatively affect performance, this is not enough.

Since it appears that some have patched up already. Anyone care to share the patch size?

Problem is who's to judge what the performance or texture memory standards are if say, half your player base were still using 6800's and the others 9800 GTX?
I'd say it's a step, but more importantly, it's a huge step for such a short OB period. It will get better i'm sure as he did state that performance and improvement is much the highest priority.

It's about 31MB. Was on for about two min to check if they'd fixed the Renown gear, but the servers just went down again.

I believe the patch was 31MB. The textures seemed much better with the cache slider all the way up. Although, I only had a moment to look around. Great update Mythic! This fixed most of my concerns. This is shaping up to be a solid launch!

Aye, patch was 31MB. I didnt get a chance to log in after the servers came back up, but I am anxious to see the improvements.

Not sure if this has been reported, but the LOS changes now make turrets unstoppable killing machines. They are no longer affected by LOS and will continue to fire on targets long after they move out of LOS.

Thanks,
Small patches come as a welcoming sight. My dialup just cant handle those biggies so I hope they don't have a biggie at HS (unless there is a way to download from an alternate computer).
