I posted this on the WP forum but i think it classifys better into this one because its a question about 3 of the classes... anyway
know theres no possible way for me to decide which class to play right now; with all the time left before release i will probably change my mind a lot,,, so many damn cool classes, but im almost sure i'll be playing empire.
My question is,,, are there kislevite warrior priests, witchunters, or even possible knights of the blazing sun.. I know sorcery is frowned upon and not commen except for ice magic in kislev but would RPing a kislevite WP, WH or knight be realistic?
Thanks in advance

Well, Kelsiv is supposed to be the representative Warhammer country for Russia etc, so perhaps with the right name, and a good back story it could work, particularly as a KOTBS, just pick some gear (or if we can, customize it) so you look like a kelsivite winged lancer (Kelsiv Knights). As for a Witch Hunter, you could again pick the proper name and look, and have a backstory that he is an immigrant to the Empire. Warrior priest I'm not so sure about (they might be too distinctivley Imperial or "Sigmar like" and obviously a Bright Wizard would not work at all.
I don't RP very much I must admit, so this is the best I could think of.

yeah i dont RP too much either i just would like to think that my idea for a character would be possible in game. it just adds so much coolness to the empire to possibly be a kislevite WH and WP especially,, knight would be cool too but i like the lancers better... i highly doubt they will put in wings.. i wonder if they will have the kislev mustache..
anyway any added input would be appreciated

From what I understand, there are some Warrior Priests in Kislev. They are dedicated to Ulric though, not Sigmar.
You may want to take this with a grain of salt however. I'm not 100% positive on the accuracy of this.

It would be odd for a Kislevite to worship Sigmar, seeing as how Sigmar represents the Empire itself. Still, it could be possible. Imagine a naturalised Imperial citizen who just happened to be born in Kislev. Worshipping Sigmar would be a great way of saying "sure, I'm not actually from here, but I really dig what this country is all about." I could see this guy becoming a priest if he was really devout, but his foreign birth would definitely work against him and he'd never rise very high in the hierarchy.
I think the most plausible Empire class for a Kislevite would be a Bright Wizard. Altdorf's colleges represent the pinnacle of human magic, wealthy families from all over the Old World send their magically-talented children there.

thanks for the input flegler but i disagree,, i think the most possible kislevite class would be witchunter simply because of kislev;s proximity to chaos,, i remmber reading they very much disdain magic in their society so a magic user that didnt use ice would be very rare

The witchhunter represented in WAR is as much a Sigmarite as the priest is though.
All the Empire classes are exclusive and elite orders that don't really have a Kislev branch. The only way I could see a Kislevite working would be if he was an immigrant to the Empire, in which case I think the knights or wizards would be most likely to accept a foreigner.

I think your best bet are the knights and priests. I know it sounds strange but the priest of sigmar are very close to those of Ulric. Just rp abit, tack "for the wolf god!" on to when ever you buff someone or "by Ulrics Hammer!" when you curse. And the knight, well, I think it would work. The other way to go about it is to say your character is part of the empire and trained their (knight or witch hunter maybe?) then went to Kelsiv (sorry for spelling) and basicly intergraded into the socity. Or maybe your characters parents sent him to the empire to train and learn? But I think you were right, a fire mage would be very bad for a Kelsiv character but I guess you would work it out somehow.
