So what are the 'in-game' items exactly?

Will the item code work in the EU version?

EDIT: For anyone interested I emailed prima and they responded to me about the item code and EU usage.

Hello,
Good question. The code will still be given out with the eGuide, but they are not valid for the EU version of the game. They are not printed in the EU version of the Prima Guide either. Sorry about that >_<.
Thanks,
Prima Games

In-game item: Stat Boosting Book. This book will boost your character stats and give you additional end-game enhancements and XP!from the link.
rather vague.

I pre-ordered the guide/atlas combo, more so for the atlas part. but some times the guides have interesting lore and stuff in them. not always useful though for the real game, and always out dated at release. very outdated often.

more info from their forums:
"Adventure's Handbook
Read this handbook and watch your Experience increase by 10%."

In-game item: The Adventurer's Handbook. It is a three-use clickable item that provides a 10% bonus to XP for two hours!

I'm just curious, what's going to make the Prima Atlas better than something like this?
http://warhammer.gamepressure.com/maps.asp

The physical guide is one thing cause you can have the book open in front of you while you play. The downside is it's out of date before it's printed (takes time to get a book ready to publish/print) and it won't be updated. It's convenient vs. printing out multiple maps and having all the loose pieces of paper floating around.

But the e-guide... you're going to use that on the computer so why not use a free online atlas?

I've had a few prima guides before, essentially the atlas will be useless compared to an online map and searchable database.. the guide will be decent for briefing you about things you havn't done before (what exactly to avoid from boss fights, best places to actually fight the boss etc) but again, absolutely anything you can read in the prima guide you can get from looking things up online.

The only reason I get them is because I read them while I'm at work and not around a computer.

But yes, I'd completely agree about using free online resources instead of the eguides.
