today (when "my" open beta server went down at about 15pm) i just got a message "you already have an account on another server" (actually i got it in german, so the original english message may be different)

so, erm, is it really impossible to have chars on different servers?! or was this just an open beta restriction... ?

i mean... what if i'd like to try open rvr and standard server? or make a char on a "non headstart server" because my friends, not having a CE can't join the server i picked on headstart cause it's full... or... i don't know :p

please just tell me that it will be possible to have different chars on different servers :?

I think Karag Dron is the unofficial russian core one, but not 100% certain. I do know I saw a lot of them there though. There's going to be a Danish guild on Karag Orrud.

What the hell is all this about a Russian server?

Russians never get their own assigned server in MMOs so (in my experience) they tend to just pick one themselves as they like to be able to communicate in their own language.

For the most part, this isn't a problem but it's a bit of a bugger to roll on a server only to find out that a huge % of the population don't typically converse in english.

Unlucky, they should have gone with one of the Karak ones, because those two servers will get capped fast and more than likely locked down to new players. Leaving the Russians having to find other servers to play on.

As long as I know which server to avoid it's all good. My WoW time was ruined by being on a seemingly 90% Russian server.

A good few of these servers have some history in the Beta phases and such, you can find some details about them in my guide (http://www.warhammeralliance.com/forums/showthread.php?t=87219), as well as lore behind the names (need to update a lot of the new ones though).

Because I'm assuming they want them to be overall Russian populated servers, which is completely fine because really they should have a couple of servers with (RUS) beside their names anyways.

But those two servers, especially Axe Bite Pass will be completely swamped with random players anyways.. like everyone else has guessed since the server names got listed, I'd guarantee that Axe Bite Pass will be maxed out very quickly to capacity.

Which will force it to get locked, which in turn will force anyone that was planning to play there to roll elsewhere (russian or otherwise).

If you had chosen one of the more lackluster names on the list then you'd stand a much better chance of actually creating a mostly Russian server, I just can't imagine it happening on those two. In the end it wont be 'the russian server' it will be a server with a bunch of russians on it, but some other server will be that too.

i was on the open core server vax kornx or something like that there wasnt meany dwafs there so i thort by the time a few off us got to chapter 4 we bumped in2 them and there was a lot was like a racial zerg so we ended up fighting on the train track npc flying everywere people flying everywere was a good open battle were anything could happen and it even did we were fighting them inside there town but we didnt see the level 55 hero till 3 off us diead n we left it as that the empire v chaos was the same lot off people there was great fun so ill prob go back to it or a new server with good destriction/order balance

Seems how Axe Bite Pass is the "Head start" EN server, will we have the chance to get our characters transferred to any other server after the HS? as this server is gonna be the Core server that the russians want to go to.

How quickly are Headstart servers expected to fill up? I don't have access to headstart but some friends so and it will cause no end of problems should I try to log on Thursday and can't join them.

I don't like that game companies do this in MMOs. Why should people need a headstart? What difference does it make if everyone starts at the same time?

I really hope I can get on my chosen server or that's not a good start to my time in WAR.

The war-europe.com site has a new post regarding CE registration however it also states SE Pre-Order people can play from Monday morning, is that 1L00 am CET onwards or 9:00 am CET as I read somewhere ages ago?

Queues of over 1.5 hours on these realms are pretty ridiculous. Come on GOA, we need more slots here. THe starter areas are working FINE, not being able to log in for almost 2 hours IS NOT FINE!! :) I am struggling to believe that even after Open Beta, we are struggling with population caps. This game is basically going to suck big time for several weeks isn't it? And what happens when all the current players hit zone 2, will the caps be controlled still to keep zone 2 healthy? This is pretty damn annoying.

As I have no guild or so on that server I figured I might aswell make my zealot on Karak-Izor, one of the new servers released last night. I'm a bit worried that they'll release more servers on thursday and that Karak-Izor will get caught in the middle with low population.
