Squig Herders will probably get a squig mount, they use them for everything else might as well use them for something lore related.

As for other goblins, best they use wolves as its the generic mount, Spiders are from the tribal goblins of the south thus its a bit of a debatable issue, especially since one class (gobbo shaman) will benefit from the spider so its really not worth for Mythic to bother.

But i think Mythic said something about traveling from area to area. (such as the flying in WoW) That is where the catapults and Doom Divas come in. :D

Spiders been a mount would be cool. Wolves would fit in too. I like spiders better! At least if you get eaten by a spider you cant feel it. The doom diver idea is kick butt too, but... how do ya land? Thinking of that. You cant even land when thrown from a catapult. 0.o -till you go splat that is.

You must try and land on an opponent which makes them take a whole lot of dmg. If you miss you take that dmg.

Nah, just lots of praying and lots of bounce. Make sure you land head first, its the hardest part.

Well, that is Warcraft, not Warhammer. In Warhammer, the orcs (whom I may remind are alot bigger and heavier than the orcs from Warcraft) ride massive wild boars.

The Gobbo sits on the platform with a rope in each hand and pulls moves each leg himself. Or mabey powered by a hamster in a wheel. The platform would be big enough so other gobbos and orcs without mounts could hitch a ride or stack their dead stunties for eating later. (For a price of course.)

Too complicated for a goblin to invent. They aren't that smart. The only reason any greenskin machinery works at all is due to their WAAAAAGH! energy keeping it up.

Still, I wish it was going to be spiders....which are creepier, less pervasive in other games, and more original. Oh well, maybe they'll give us the option to choose between wolves and spiders.

I really hope there aren't spiders. I'm pretty arachniphobic, and I know I'm not alone on that, and it seems like almost every medieval fantasy game just HAS to have giant spiders. Like, Zelda for the N64, what was it, orania of time? I had to have a friend beat the first level for me because I couldn't stand all those spiders. Can we please, please not have giant spiders in this one? I know there are plenty other people that are arachniphobic out there and probably share my setiment.

As a wannabe goblin shaman i can say quite comfortably, a selection between either the spider or wolf would be awesome (possibly clan relation type thing, or speed?). Having both in the game wouldn't be tough to implement for Mythic (after watching the different animation sets they can assign mobs in that moobiiiee), and would add a crapload of diversity into it.. this 1 mount unique to 1 race crap.. pfft... why not have both!

Goblins in Warhammer have always been riding wolves, and spiders are only written by the more primitive Forest Goblins.

This would be AWESOME for sieges I think. Especially a fun thing to have when you unlocked a capital to attack, have you be able to fly doomdivers or launch orcs into the city and try to smash people :) Now that would be fun!
