From the Customer Service category we have: Collector's Edition In-Game Rewards

Greetings!

While we've provided this information in the past we wanted to be clear on how and when you will receive your Collectors Edition rewards on the characters you create during head start.

In order to receive the in-game items from your Collectors Edition you must have a valid CE Product Key entered (The one that comes with the box) this means you will not be able to use the items and faces during Head Start, however, you can use them on the character you have created as soon as you get your CE Box and associate the code with your game account, and yes you can even change your face!

Once you have your Collector's Edition simply visit the Mythic Account Center (http://accounts.eamythic.com) associate your product key with your existing Beta Game Account, the same Game Account you used to create your Head Start characters on. The next time you log your Head Start characters in they will receive an in game mail with your rewards!

To use the exclusive Collector's Edition face for your race take the item out of your mailbox and follow the instructions included on the items tooltip. Bring the face to a dye merchant and apply it like you would a dye in the Marketing Rewards slot on your character window, this will allow you to preview the new face before you change it.

Please Note: This change is permanent and you will be unable to change your face back later, so make sure it's the face you want!

That's all there is to it!

Have fun...WAAAGH!!!

No here didn't. There are pre order items, and then there are items that you get when you put in your codes. The pre order codes for the CE and the SE get the same items except for the head start.

I want to make sure that I will be okay with the SE game even though I have the CE pre order.

it's pretty weak.

by the time we get our CE codes, we'll have outgrown the rings.

the ring is a Pre-order item, not a CE item, so you get it when you log in

I don't like this because when I make my characters I make them as a whole. What if the CE face doesn't go well with the hair I chose? Or skin tone? =(

Alright i'm desperate for an answer to this question

I pre ordered the CE edition but i had to cancel my order.

EA store was sold out of CE edition so i got the standard edition.

I already have all the CE edition codes registered to my account

QUESTION HELP PLEASE

Will i be able to apply my standard pre-order key (the one that shipped with the box)

Into my account with the other CE codes.

Thanks

Now this may be different for US customers but here on the EU side, we didn't get any pre order items when we logged in. Crossing my fingers that you guys will get yours though. :)

Aye. Poor showing. Still, maybe we'll get them with the SE head-start tomorrow. Unlikely, though. As someone said, we will almost certainly have outgrown them by the time we get them with official launch. The quests too...

I just want to be 100%. So the faces are not one time use? What is and is not one time?

What is one-time is re-speccing your headstart characters with a CE head. Once you've done that you can't change that character's head again, but you can use the heads when creating new characters.

No doubt it's because you don't have the code from your CE box as the post said.

When you enter the product key that you will receive with the game box on the 18th or whenever, your ingame item will be activated.
As far as I know, you need to activate the ingame item code that you received with the open beta code and headstart code, and then when you have activated the product key, the ingame item will be unlocked. That is why us from the headstart haven't received any ingame item yet, because we need to activate the product key aswell.

When the product key is activated you will log into the game and see that you have a mail in your mailbox containing the bonus item. Which will then be that special camp item thing or whatever it is, and the special face item. The face item is used like a dye, so go to the dye NPC and preview the special face and decide if you want to change your outlook or not. The effect will be permanent, means can't be undone.

If Im wrong in this matter, please correct me, course I'd like to know if Im screwing this up for myself aswell.

Once you have entered key(s) for headstart and preorder bonus items, the preorder items (ritenbach's portable camp and a band) should be available from a mailbox in game during the headstart. Just find a mailbox, click and you'll see two packages waiting for you :)

The heads will become available when you have added a retail key from the retail box after release.

Ah, cool. I need to check my mailbox then. Thanks.

yea people keep confusing the preorder items, which ALL preorders (CE and standard)get - the camp and the ring. The only difference in preorder bonuses is that CE got 2 days extra of headstart. these preorder items are currently in your mailbox for each character you create.

the CE in games items/rewards- extra quests, extra heads, exp book- will be available in your mailbox once you enter your CE retail code. the heads will let you respec your appearance once for each of your previously created characters during headstart.

now here is the one flaw i see. several of the bonus quests are rvr related and seem to imply you need to finish them in the tier 1 rvr areas (as per the mytic CE page). however, considering the 4 day headstart, a majority of headstart characters will have passed the lvl 11 limit to enter tier 1 rvr (chicken). will there be some way to finish these quests to get the title/reward associated with them?

Guess I won't get a chance to even when pre-ordering when it was first possible.

Thank you for ordering on EA Store (US). Unfortunately, the product(s) you've ordered is currently out of stock and could not be shipped. The product(s) has been placed on back-order and will be shipped as soon as possible when the stock becomes available. You will receive another e-mail notification when your order has actually shipped. If you paid by credit card on our site, your credit card has been pre-authorized, but you will NOT be charged until the product ships. If you pre-paid using an alternate payment method, we will hold your funds until the product ships. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Errr...crap. The Magus CE face is an eye on your forehead, which is pretty cool. However... I just "previewed" the CE face on my Magus, but he had no eyes (the black holes), so the cyclops eye did not have an "eye", it's just a black hole. I didn't care for this, so I closed the box...yet my character still has the CE face.

Will there be any way to reverse this? Or perhaps change the eye color?

i did the same, but i think its a bug, as long as you didn't click "accept" to apply the face permanantly.

go back to the merchant, and where you put the face, there is an option to shift-right click (or something like that) to remove the face, even after you leave the merchant and go back. that worked for me.

it seems that to get the preview face on the merchant screen, the game actually has to put the face on your character.
