how do you add talismans to items

I've created a talisman and i have 2 items of clothing with talisman slots, how do i fit it on . I've tried dragging and right clicking , any help please.

Thx, i never got into gems in wow only got 1 character to 70 then started all over again.

Thx, i never got into gems in wow only got 1 character to 70 then started all over again.

I always had to put the item in my inventory before it would allow me to fit the talisman. Then I could re-equip it.
