so we know you get many specialised squigs but are there any you wanna see in particular. for instance am dying to see a great squigg that your character summons at T4 and this ones a proper tanking pet that literally chews enemies.

I'd like to see several types of squigs...
A squig that... that bites the enemy with a DoT
A squig that... reduces the enemy's movement speed
A squig that... reduces the stats/attributes of an enemy
A squig that... disables the enemy's weapon for a short amount of time
All of these things would be fun and would emphasize choosing the right squigs at the right times

The Battle Squig (http://www.warhammeronline.com/english/gameInfo/armiesofWAR/Greenskins/Careers/images/squigherder01.jpg) - a defense based squig meant to last long in a fight. Can cast defensive abilities.
Gas Squig (http://www.warhammeronline.com/english/gameInfo/armiesofWAR/Greenskins/Careers/images/squigherder02.jpg) - an aoe casting squig that can hit and posion multiple mobs at the same time.
Horned Squig (http://www.warhammeronline.com/english/gameInfo/armiesofWAR/Greenskins/Careers/images/squigherder03.jpg) - able to up some good offensive power and cast charge ability with other dps abilities.
Retribution Squig (http://www.warhammeronline.com/english/gameInfo/armiesofWAR/Greenskins/Careers/images/squigherder04.jpg) - able to reflect a percentage of damage back, hit me and feel the pain!
These are the kind of squigs I'd like to see in-game.

We'd kinda have to get rid of the guns and rockets to make it part of Warhammer fantasy though. So change the fortress to a wooden one, and make it spear chukkas and rock lobbas instead:mrgreen:

Then it becomes a living siege weapon!

Then it becomes a living siege weapon!
It already is that in 40k, but with cannons and machine guns, so we have to make it's technology fit in WH fantasy.

yeah...you know if the squig hereders get something like that it could be a group summonging similar to the Warlocks Infernal and Doomguard in WoW

Heh, yeah, and it would have to be smaller than a Gargantuan Squiggoth, like just a regular sized Squiggoth, or most likely even smaller than that, but still pretty big.

Flying squig : Very weak squig, can attempt to carry his commander...allowing him to glide short distances. ( Excellent for strategic movement in various scenarios)
Mad squigz: This squig has very poor stats, but his commander can sacrifice waaagh! or morale to double his strenght. If his strenght is increasesd too often he gets angry, and will attack anyone before his body gives up and the poor guy explodes.
Sneaky squig: This squig cannot attack and has the lowest health of all... but he can become invisible on command. it's also possible for him to swallow his commander, giving the goblin squig herder limited stealth ( Good for defensive objectives, a lone black orc might actually be a lone black orc and 6 gobbos.)
^ Can't move while stealthed (Yeah i know this game probably won't have stealth anyway ><)

Are the squigs that eat you and become a sort of armor still going to be included? I heard that in the video, and thought the idea was really cool.

Nah, thats Forest Goblins ;)
But, Goblins could also ride Squigs as seen here: http://uk.games-workshop.com/orcsandgoblins/miniature-gallery/22/
But then there Night Gobbos..and also some Goblins ride Wolfs..
As for the types of Squigs..I'm pretty much hoping the same as Dendro..

Ability to put squig into berzerk where it eats what it can no matter own or stinking drwarf.
Maybe even some random time triggered could be like unleash squig and throw a rabit carcass in enemy lines...

Well from the describation in the Warhammer Online section there probaly needs to be some type of Jumping Squig sense there seems to a certain typeto leap over the front lines to attack squishies in the back area.

I think they need to let squig herders be able to cast 2 pets at once. One to melee/dps and the other to heal/buff you and the other squig.
That would be awsome....but it would also be a big advantage for the class  so it lowers the possibility of it happening.

Just found this video on animation testing for War and then I notice some of the creatures running around in the backround.http://www.warhammeronline.com/english/media/video/files/vidofthemonth022607.html
I think that a big giant squig but it could be a demon thingy to...not sure. If it is a squig I hope to god we can tame 1 that size lol.
I don't know if squig herders will go around taming various squigs like the WoW hunter...
I really see them more like the WoW warlock. There's 4 different kinds of squigs. They've only shown 4 different types, and Gamespot reported you could choose between the four (as if you have all 4 at end game). So everyone has the same 4 pets, but different people will choose different ones.
And for those who don't know, in WoW the warlock also had 4 (real) pets. Ranged, Tanker, Melee DPS (rogue-ish), and a utility pet. There were 2 cosmetic/fun pets you get later in the game, but they had to be re-enslaved or they'd start killing you, and there was of course the recent addition for Demonology warlocks. Making a 5th real pet, but only those specced for it. That one was basically a warrior. Had good DPS, and could hold aggro.
But yea. I'm just saying I think Squig Herders will work more like that... 4 pets always available to summon, but only one out. No taming various kinds you see running around...but learning specific ones as you level.

Yea I hope there is a way to get a squig to that size. It also had two mouths, double dps. That would be quite a interesting squig to have.

Acid Squid- reduces enemies armor by a small percent every bite
Drain Squid- reduces enemies "energy"
Alpha squid- normal damage but increases buffs of all other squids by x amount within y
distance
vampire squid- slower then normal attack speed but regenerates health equal to 50% of damage dealt
nova squid- releases a series of AoE attacks equal to x% of normal attack damage
Tanker squid- high defense and attacks slows target (this give the person reason to kill the squid before the herder)
ram squid- squid stays close to the herder but rams any enemy that attacks the herder cause knock-back

i would also like to see sqigs of that size! they propably will be able to swallow enemies at once and spit them out after few seconds, so you can eliminate one important player from battle a short time.

How about a squig that tucks in his legs and rolls into enemies giving a knockback or knockdown effect?
That would a good kiting mechanism for the poor fragile squig herder when facing nasty Hammerers and Iron Breakers. And it would be funny as hell to see dwarfs do an impression of bowling pins.

I can just see the animation for that 4th one, the squig running up and going CHOMP onto their weapon hand, with them hopping madly around trying to get it off :D
