Your first uber item?

Remember back in your noobie days. Whether it was EverQuest or UO or AO. When you got that first item that you were really proud of, or you felt had significant value. What was that uber item?

For myself, it was EverQuest and I got the staff that Lockjaw dropped, later it was a fine steel weapon. Those were my first uber items. I thought I was pretty cool with em. hehe.

Not sure if this counts but I always felt gaining the highest lvl or guild rank was my more significant item. Other than that, I remember when ToA first came out for DAoC. When on the guild event that night, I won an artifact. It was for the wrong toon and took forever to get the last scroll but I still won it. I think that was my first really uber item I won.

In Uo my pet Dragon named Dummy ("no Dummy follow me" "no Dummy attack that monster")

He was 6x gm when i quit playing he could tear up anything (well with a bit of vet...)

The first one? Probably a full mithril kite shield on runescape. Shame it was such a rubbish game, and that I was too low a level to use it.

When I played EQ as a magician back in the first years it came out I would give proccing weapons to my pet. People used to go nuts in my group when my pet had Short Sword of Ykesha's. The proc looked cool, with tons of spinning skulls apearring around the mobs we were fighting. My first uber item on EQ for my magician was a staff that had a right click 10 second cast DD. I would cast, sit and med for 8 seconds then stand and nuke for 300 damage, then repeat. That was really fun.

Thinking back even further, I think in UO I really enjoyed some of my first magical items.

EverQuest - on my Iksar Shaman, I some how managed to acquire multiple pieces of the special Iksar Shaman set, which were a and a half to get.

AC2 - Doing each continent's special weapon/armor quest series. Some of the best loot in the game and it was really easy and fun to get as well.

SWG - Ordering a custom wardrobe from a tailor that looked really awesome as well as getting a custom kitted out pistol the same day. Purchasing craftables in SWG was really fun, especially if you had the money and had the hook ups to get the good stuff.

WoW - Walking away from every instance with some new shiney piece of loot especially if that loot was Dreadmist (pre-epics). Getting my first complete set of PvP gear was really fun as well.

Some weapon in WoW that healed me if I hit someone (one-hand, so I could wear a shield too). And when I got my epic mount in WoW. It was a paladin one and after loads of times trying to collect the stuff and finally completing the quest I was so happy.

But my greater achievement was still proving that the paladin could beat shamans with ease and no lay of hands. My item helped me with that, though...

My first true uber item was an explosive sheep, but I imagine by now it has probably been nerfed like every other engineering item in the game. Pffftttt....epics, who needs them?

I would have to say that my first uber item was the Freeport Reserve Militia Tunic in Everquest. That thing looked really cool and I liked it a lot. I don't think I ever got rid of it, and would occasionally wear it long after it had ceased to be useful.

Not really an item, but my first Uber loot was Warden epic on DAoC. I'm overlooking the fact that the original Warden epic was the worst utility epic set in the game. I still thought it was cool. :cool:

In EQ on my Monk, Tranquil Staff, god that thing was a pain to camp.

EQ - My first character that I leveled up past 4 (back then level 4 was a major feat for me) was a Dwarf Warrior. My friend had a fairly high-level (40ish) Druid, and he got me a few pieces of Bronze armor (I believe it was gauntlets and something else) when my character was level 16, which was crazy good at the time. A few levels later, he also got me a Brazen Brass Kilij and Bladed Thulian Claws (although he accidentally sold the Kilij, thinking it was Fine Steel) - but the Claws were awesome.

WoW - Getting my PvP rank 11 epic mount (black war wolf). Coolest looking mount in the game, and I was the only one on the server with one (and it was a huge upgrade from the level 40 mount). To a lesser extent, the blue PvP armor, which was my first 'good gear' I had, and The Unstoppable Force, which was my first epic item.

In UO i got a Vanq Halberd, it was pretty.

My first matteker hide robe in AC. Only item and it covered practically your entire body. Was awsome :) In DAoC it would have to be my first weapon I got from a Wretch of Winter in midgard(back before there was a dragon or anything). It was blue and had decent stats, especially for the time.

DAoC - Belt of the Sun artifact - took days of camping to finally land the spawn, this after days of farming for the scrolls. Never been so happy about loot in my life, and the funny thing is after all that work, I STILL HAD TO LEVEL THE DAMN THING!

WoW - Tauren Icebreaker or Brainhacker - Had second Icebreaker on the server, and the first Brainhacker. Beat my friend with the roll on both of em, and he still guilts me about it occasionally. :D

My first Uber Item was an SOJ back in the Diablo days.. I actually got it legit!

My second was probably a 96% w/ 70%ish stun resist Composite armour set for my Trando Master Teras Kasi/Fencer back in SWG.

From then on I started college, so I started drinking like a college kid and my memory gets fuzzy.
