When you can ride into battle on the backs on little elemental looking things.

For an High Elf thing even this loyal follower of Distruction has to say that's pretty damn cool. I really hope Mythic gives HE Mages these little guys(Look really closely at the first one.) to ride on. Cause if they do I'd totally roll a High Elf Mage.

sure, we got chosen and Kotbs on their mounts, we got a magus on his disk, so why not an elf on a pet flame/cloud/wave/whatever

No..

A Magus flying on a disc is COOL.
A Highelf Mage being carried around by another lifeform is just LAZY.

As Barnett said "never done a days work in their lives"...and now they cant even be bothered with walking anymore~

so you could say that it suits the lazy bastids perfectly

Well, in the army book section on Tyrion and Teclis, it said that Teclis strode into the sky (or words to that effect).

So I could see it happening (flying elves... COOL!)

The higher they fly, the harder they'll fall when I blast them out of the sky
Lets see what their petty elementals can do against our mighty discs.
Seriously, i think it might happen. We've seen so much stuff we didn't expect, it is entirely possible.

Can have all the discs and elementals you want, still won't beat the Dwarf mount (http://store.us.games-workshop.com/storefront/newimage.asp?Size=A&Img=258011).

That's not the Dwarf mount, that's the king's mount.

Very cool. Elemental/Ball-thingie would be a neat mount

Why lower yourself to using Djinn-magic and kooky Arabian elementalism when you can simply ride on the back of "the last of a noble race that has lived in the high mountain peaks since before the rise of men" (http://us.games-workshop.com/games/warhammer/highelves/catalog/giant_eagle.htm)?

Far less risky than depending on summoned wooglies to keep you off the ground, I'll wager, and a bit less of a headache for the devs. ;)

Yeah, I realize that. Was a joke.

Well... If they'll be riding water elementals, which would break the laws of physics, Let's just hope they can swim (http://img337.imageshack.us/img337/3503/waterhighelfgp4.png)

Since magically summoned water elementals have to follow the laws of physics. :p

Of course! That's like saying an Earth elemental is capable of independent flight. :P

For no other reason then my own completely subjective and therefore fallible tastes... i really really hope not. I just don't like the look of them.

Then again, it took me some time to get used to the disks, which I also didnt really care for initially but now can... tolerate.

I'd much rather see interesting and exciting mounts to be honest, especially if we can fight from them

I think he was saying that their legs would partially atrophy, and become weak. And he was saying that it would be a shame for an elfs legs to lose strength. He didn't say that elves on a whole were normally weak.
