Will there be different types of Squigs such as: Melee, Ranged, and Caster? Maybe Tanker? Or only 1 basic type of squig?

If i understand correctly, there will be a bunch of different types of squigs to pick from. Some for damage, some for tanking, and so on. I dont think that there will be a caster squig though.

Yeah, every squig will have a specialty, from basic cannon fodder squig, to a squig with poisonous gas, to a squig who charges at you with a big horn.

I knew a priest in WoW named Curbstomp. WEIRD.
Apparently everyone hates curbs.

Curbstomping has nothing to do with hating curbs, it has to do with stomping a guy's face into the curb.

I hope they make the squig more uniq. I have a huge private collect for Squigs for my warhammer tabletop game. I have lots of squigs, about 40 of them in total, also some of the rare figure too. Most of them are red as that is there favour collour. But when I look and read in the White Dwarf magazine I saw there also was blue and yellow Squigs too, so i painted them too, in the same colour. I really hope we see blue and yellow squigs in WO and also make the more uniq in the old fantasy tabletop. Some of my squig figure are very different, some have very large fangs like a vampire, other ahve fungues on there heard, some have hair like the squig hound, etc - That could be cool if there was a wide collection of squigs to choice for the squid herder.

Someone should compile the Squig Wish list -
I'd like a Squig that could revive me. After the fight is over, if I fell in combat, it would come over and lick my face until I woke up.
Squig mount -
Squig stackers- squigs that stand on each other's "shoulder's" forming a giant Squig column- after taking damage they are forced to seperate into the weaker Squig swarm -
OR perhaps, stacked they are 1 strong opponent, seperate they are several weaker Squigs- the strategy would be when to break them up or keep them together.
a Squig Spitter- grabs an opponent with his tongue, swallows them and then "spits" them a good distance away OR perhaps the Squig Spitter can "spit" his master like an Orc from a Catapult.

Is there going to be a Squig that shoots fire out of it's holes?
Also do you guys think there will be a squig travel form? I read that a squig will eat you and you will control the squig from inside, I wonder if this will be for combat, for travel, or for both?

They said that when you get eaten you ride around attacking other players until the squig dies. So I think it is more for fighting then traveling.

I think we've heard of four types of Squigs so far? five if you count the ones you can eat.
- horned squig (melee squig, I think)
- spikey squig (ranged squig, throws spikes, this is seen in a vid or two)
- gas squig (not sure)
- battle squig (battle armor squig)
And the fifth one I mentioned is the eatable Squig, that you can create and then eat for some sort of health bonus or something.
If there isn't a Squig Mount at some point, I'm going to be a very sad goblin :( .

All we need is;
A tanker squig
A high melee damage squig
An exploding squig
An armor squig
And of course a squid-squig for those lovely naval battles. ^^
I would love to see a variety of colors, or possible to change the color scheme of your particular Squigs. I think it would be neat to be able to see abunch of black and neon green squigs and know, oh man, we're fighting against SoandSo or maybe a regiment/guild who's primary colors are black and neon green.

I like the idea of possibily picking color schemes for your squid herds, I would perfer it to stay more "realistic" colors to fit the whole warhammer theme. I do not want to see neon green squigs. And, if you can pick the color scheme for your squigs, I think all of them should get the same colors. Maybe a primary color(skin), secondary color(spots, bumps, spikes, whatever), and maybe, just maybe, a teritary color for things along the same lines as the secondary.

Would be logical if Gas squig was AoE damage. Let him eat few mushrooms and then start gasing and running around aimlessly (or you command it with target circle to go to specific spot)

Oh I understand not wanting to see neon green squigs, I was just using that as an example that was very obvious. I just don't want to see the same red overall color, when you can make it change? Kind of like how there were different color wolves, raptors, saber cats in World of Warcraft available for Hunters, I've like to see squigs of different colors available to Squig Herders.

Well I think I read somewhere you can breed the squigs so maybe that will be one of the ways to get different colors for squigs.

I would love to see breeding squigs as a fun sort of diversion for Squig Hunters, as long as it isn't terribly demanding that you get the "perfect" squig teams bred, like with WoW Hunters seeking out the best overall pet and winding up with everyone having cats.
It should be available for a player to explore and enjoy, without being completely necessary to play your class as best as you can.

That would be pretty awesome. Any Chaos person should be able to do that, and sell em or breed em some more. Like some awesome Chocobo or Monster Rancher mini game.

What would be better is if you could feed your squig fungus beer
Also, yes it would be cool to customize your pet, it would probably be the squig hereders version of sticking a head opn the armour, or both might happen.
But basically you'd need to be able to fully customize your squigs, apart from their basic attack (charging horn, gas exhausts, whatever) And then give em regulat doeses of fungus beer and breed em right and WHOOAH, Baby squiggoth wanna play with Warrior Priest :D 8-) :D

What about a healer squig. Or for example check this out.
Do you think we will have a skill to be able to control a squig ourselves?

i dont like the idea of a healer squig, or a magic squig. squigs are like really really unevolved orcs. they eat and are agressive. thats about it. the idea of a squig casting a spell is just silly to me

Theres a spell or type of squig that you can hop into that you control directly and use for aromor. I don't think we know much more than that.
