Skill Level?

What function does the skill level have? I Mean besides being able to use certain ingredients, I havnt found any other use. Regardless of my skill level, it seems that I always need 2 waters to make the potion stable.

Once I hit 50 and got better containers available, I only needed 1 water to make stuff stable. Not to mention there are better waters available from mobs once you get around chapter 5

Now that I'm at 120 if I make the lower level pots I don't even need water. Skill level definitely seems to be directly related to the stability of the pot as well as the chance of a superior success

Thanks, I was beginning to think that only the ingredients mattered. Now if there just were an easy way to get to lvl 100+ :p
