Hello all.

I was wondering if anyone could help point me to good information on how the game calculates individual contribution to guild leveling. I have heard rumors that it treats the number of members as some sort of denominator.. in an effort to balance large guilds with small.

However, if this is true, it essentially means you are punished for allowing your members to guild alts. That doesn't seem like a smart path for the developers to take.

It also seemed to use during open beta that at some points we actually went backwards.. lost exp and even levels. Do penalties for inviting alts extend this far? Can you delevel the guild? Or did we experience a fluke?

I'd like to get a firm handle on this, because I don't want to tell my members they can't have alts unless the game is positively forcing me to do that.

Thank you.

im in same boat as you mate and have asked the questions and have got no answers. I would think something like guild XP would be something they would be strait forward with but it seems not to be the case.

It is still my understanding that guild xp gains are greater when the number of members online in a guild is closer to the total members (i.e. alts slow it down).

As for the "deleveling" you experienced in OB....that was due to Mythic changing (increasing) the amount of guild xp needed to level. It had the effect of deleveling the guild to the proper level. It is not a penalty that can affect you now.
