Im starting to get in love with this class...

Im new to Warhammer but Im waiting for this MMO really bad.

It first I thought I will play a warrior priest since they look cool and stuff. But I thought I couldnt play such a religious class , because Im not religious irl...

And then I read more and more stuff about witch hunters. They might serve the order of Sigmar, but I find them more of a lone vigilantee with its own beliefs and oh my Im so gonna play one.

meh games arent tied to real life...i m an atheist irl but i dont see how playing some zealot/priest warrior affects me in real life .

Ditto. It's not hard to suspend your disbelief in the context of a game, and it's certainly important to distinguish fantasy from reality. So don't worry, just enjoy yourself.

Well I dunno specially if in a RP server, I couldnt pretend im somekind of believing fanatic of some dead guy whos prolly not even a god but just an empire propaganda...

That's kind of a silly reason to not play a class. I personally wouldn't lob off my hand and meld a crude, deadly weapon or an estranged animal part to my arm while wearing vikingesque armor and shouting, "FOR THE GLORY OF CHAOS" in public. But that doesn't really stop me from wanting to play a Marauder. ;)

Witch hunters are cool, but the sheer amount of them will hurt the demand for them. If you want to be a real lone thinker then try a less popular career :)

Well I dont care about that. I wont play a class that I dont like because its the least played tbh :P

Ide rather play a very populated class that I enjoy the most :P

Keep in mind that your perception of the witch hunter is based on aesthetics since there is not much gameplay information released regaurding the career.

Well, most people in the Empire are religious, given their culture - but they do vary in their religious beliefs. Hence, you can RP them how you like. Many Witch Hunters are religious, but there's a difference between ,say, a Kristoph Kreiger who is more focused on political power and merely genuflects to religion as a necessity, a Mathias Thullman who is a sincere Sigmarite who nonetheless maintains a sense of intellectual independence, and a Peder Haussner who believes that Sigmar has chosen him as his personal agent on earth.

Witchhunter looks like it will a most enjoyable class to paly, and is really starting to interest me. Especially for the roleplay posibilities.
Zealous loon, cynical Van helsing, sadistic Torquemada, much more scope than a dullard 'bash is brains in' ork.

The gear looks good, and will have alot more scope for individuality than yet another chainmail clad dwarven warrior.

Gonna be a fun class methinks.

Don't let that stop you from playing a Warrior Priest if it interests you, Sangi! Being religious does not have to be a prerequisite for playing a 'devout' class.

I myself am a Christian, and one of my best friends of over a decade is an atheist. He's an artist and though he's not religious he is very interested in religous art, specifically Catholic imagery.

By all means if you want to be a Witchhunter than jump into it with fervor! But don't be put off by playing a class because you aren't religious. I doubt you've ever hunted witches either! Heh :)

My advice would be go with the class that your first immediatly attracted to the second you look at them all. Warrior-Priests look Great and so do Witch-Hunters they will hands down be heavily populated. For Witch Hunters thou, its all about the Hat :P

I think this class is the one that has my attention the most with with fluff and feel some might say im turning in to a fanatatic witch hunter my self :D

Um, you should brush up on the lore if it really matters to you. Sigmar was real, and stil lis real, but he ascended to godhood and has become a real god that leads and gives power to his believers. He is the founder and creator of the Empire.

Witch Hunters receive power from Sigmar to sense and root out evil within the Empire from heretics trying to spread Chaos (the entity) from within.

This isn't the salem witch trials, this is Warhammer. There's no such thing as atheists in Warhammer, every faction worships and fights for something they believe in.

From the sounds of it, you might be more comfortable playing a Knight of the Blazing sun. They are not religious "fanatics" they are more practical and strategic in thought and practice, and they aren't the typical "Knights of the round table".
