I hope some of you will find this useful, they are from the notes of a wandering Warrior Priest called Caradoc who dabbles in cultivating and Apothecary in the gods-forsaken lands of Sylvania. As such they will be bias towards the cultivating side.

I shall make the assumption that you have a basic understanding of this art. Otherwise more information can be found here (http://www.warhammeralliance.com/forums/showthread.php?t=89508) from one of our Elvish brothers skilled in the arts of healing. If you need something even more basic - please look over on the WAR ign vault here (http://warhammervault.ign.com/wiki/index.php/Apothecary_101). It even has pictures.

I've tried to illuminate the ingredient so you can see where to aquire it from. Cultivation Butcher and Scavenging.

Cultivating comes with it's own little caveat, with each tier the seeds change names. I've placed the tier to the right of the plant name.

Below the Ingredient I've put the potion names and levels. Don't assume that each main will produce the same potion. It can jump a tier above or below.

Anything I'm unsure of I've put in italics - I would love confirmation of what it is.

Offensive Potions:
Thorn Shield - Dryad Husk
Make things a bit prickly for your opponent
thistle (5), Bristle (10), Quill (20), Thorn (30), Spur(35)

Thrown AoE DoT - Daemon Blood
Just light it and throw it, explodes and burns on impact - nice little dot. Found that beating back daemons around a windmill.
Blast (5), Smoldering Blast (10), Searing Blast (20), Flaming Blast (30), Scorching blast(35)

Single target DOT - Pyre Ivy T1, Scruntleydown T2, Spikewort T3, Dragoncap T4
Usual thing with the water and hey presto, you got a potion to set fire to someone. Its a single target DoT.
Blistering (5), Smoldering (10), Searing (20), Flaming (30), Scorch (35)

cone base AE - Ashberry T1, Redvine T2, Yellow Canny T3, Creep T4
Simular thing - except this is like eating a rather hot halfling pie and doing a dragon impression. Char breath, certainly - firey breath that clears your front arc.
Char Breath (5), Emberbreath (10), Kindlewind (20), Fiery Breath (30), Flame Tongue (35)

AoE Snare - Ogre Spit
Thrown snare with limited range.
Sticky (5), Tacky (10), Adhering (20), Clinging (30), restraining (35)

Stat increaser Potions:
Intelligence - Smedley Cap Mushrooms T1, Twigfester T2, Toody's Hat T3, Jack O' Lantern T4 or Skaven spit
Something those pesky bright wizards love.
Insight (5), Guile (10), Judgement (20), Knowledge (30), Acumen (35)

Wisdom - Grump leaf T1, Hairy Elfcup T2 or Ulric's Lash T3, Spumepetal T4 or Daemon Whiskers
Guaranteed to increase even an Orc's Wisdom.
Ambiton (5), Purpose (10), Will(20), Resolve (30), Determination (35)

Ballistic Skill - Thief nettle T1, Twigbloat T2 or Flea Agaric T3, Cheese Slipper T4 or Feather
I know a few Dwarvish Engineers who love this stuff.
ken (5), perception (10), sight(20), Purview (30), Scope (35)

Weapon Skill - Unknown
I pray for Sigmars Guidance here. Possibly doesn't exist.

Strength Beardweed T1, Bladestripe T2, Phlemberry T3, Spurge T4 or Bear Claws
Makes those witch hunters feel so much more manly.
Clout (5), Pith (10), Muscle(20), Strenght (30), Brawn (35)

Amour Increase - Morrweed T1, Skunk Thistle T2, Chev's Needle T3, Spider Frond T4 or Chitin Shard/Scale
Helps the Dwarves polish their armour don't you know.
Steadying (5), Shoring (10), Supporting (20), Buttressing (30), Girding (35)

Toughness - Gravelnuts T1, Trotweed T2, Old Mans Mane T3, Hookberry T4, or Spider Venom
Sure, your'll have the odd Blademaster who'll want this, but recently I seem to be using it more myself as those Heretics seem to be ignoring them and hitting me.
tenacity (5), determination (10), Nerve (20), Stamina (30), toughness (35)

Spirit Resistance - Grave Dirt or Defiled Earth
Something your'll want for those fighting degenerate so called Priests that don't follow Sigmar.
Screen (5), Block (10), Defence (20), Protection (30), Guard (35)

Elemental Resistance - Daemon Flesh, Yhetee Fur
A nice bonus for slaying these horrors - Sigmar be praised!
Screen (5), Block (10), Defence (20), Protection (30), Guard (35)

Corporal Resistance - Special Gravelnuts T1, Special Trotweed T2, Special Old Mans Mane T3, Special Hookberry T4,
I'm still not convinced on the names they use will consistantly produce a resistance potion. Generally if the prefix is a colour or sounds "broken" jagged/Serrated it produces this. Ones that don't sound 'broken' smooth or are about 'movement' make the toughness potions.
Screen (5), Block (10), Defence (20), Protection (30), Guard (35)

Healing Potions:

I haven't put in the potion names and levels as I'm still confused with these. I'm having a debate over here (http://www.warhammeralliance.com/forums/showthread.php?t=140155) about my understanding - and if certain healing potions have bugged itemisation or are working as intented.

Action Points - Dande dragon T1, Peck Grass T2, Sorrel T3, Foolsberry T4, or Fleas
Heat with some water - makes a potion to restore action points. Generally loved by tanks, and a reminder for those tanks that have been hit around the head once too many times - they are the yellow ones.

Heal over Time Elixir (HoT) - Musty Elvish Parsley T1, Probing grottok weed T2,Black Pea T3, Green Grundle T4, wolf blood or Troll Spit
Heals like me when I'm not around. Note that a differently named version of the plant/seed makes a Insta heal potion detailed below. I'm still not convinced on the naming convention though.

Intsa heal Draught - Ticks, Leeches or SPECIAL Elvish Parsley T1 SPECIAL grottok weed T2SPECIAL Black Pea T3, SPECIALGreen Grundle T4
A green looking potion, with an instant effect. Trenchant/Probing is the seed types that produce the insta heals.

Damage Ward potion - Domed Morrweed T1, Skunk Thistle T2, shelled Chev's Needle T3, UNKNOWN T4,
This ones a yellow potion. Smells a bit like a Dward's beard.
Screening (5), Blocking (10), Defending (20), Protecting (30), Guarding (35)

Stablisers
To stablise your potion you will start with vendor brought Water. As soon as your skills become better and the potions you start making more advanced you will need to start using something more powerful. These can be Water Zoic Gore Arboreal Resin.

You also need to be aware that the vial you use is also a stabiliser. My understanding is that you add the level of the vial and stabiliers together to get your total stability. Again there is an appendum here - the level 1 vials and waters actaully count as a level 25 stabiliser for this calculation. Empty stabliser slots reduce the stability. More information can be found here (http://www.warhammeralliance.com/forums/showthread.php?t=126722) on this by Red Asphalt.

Extra's
Number of Potions Produced - Fusk T1, Bolete T2,Shadow Fungus T3, Clubmoss T4
Longer Effects - Gobswort T1, Merulius T2, Blusher T3, Stalkball T4 or Boar Blood
Larger Concotion - Squig Bits

The above do appear to alter the effects - but its been inconstant, and I'm praying to Sigmar for his guidance here. I've had some experience with squig parts that worked well from a rather darker place in my travels.
...

Any errors please correct, and I would very much appreciate hearing about your recipies you have discovered.

Go with the light of Sigmar

In our prayers to Sigmar for providing assistance:
Haewood, Zallela, Thorael, Khatre, Huckleberry, Pagean and Hithran (Sylvania) from these hallowed halls, Rasputina, Albrecht Kroft, Serpentine, Red Asphalt, Osmosis J, Tekke, Kaeri, gushgore and CapnSquig. From the The WAR Lexicon - The Emperor's Scribe.

EDIT: Added in some stuff about vials and how to mix it, also collated all the potions into one format.
EDIT: Colour coding for ingredients and added in some stabliser/extra stuff.
EDIT: Added in T2 seed names, and changed bow skill to ballistic skill as requested.
EDIT: Another random update fixing some of the names above and adding in some new stuff.
EDIT: Played with format yet again - I was finding it confusing....
EDIT: stripped out some of the how to - it's done better elsewhere - added more about stabilsers
EDIT: added in the italic bit for things I'm unsure of and need confirmation on
EDIT: added in the last of the T4 stuff, and put in the names of the potions. Got the last few remaining T4 cultivating seeds from Kaeri's spreadsheet and post found here (http://www.warhammeralliance.com/forums/showthread.php?t=113089)

Indeed, Bright Wizards can be a pain sometimes.

I think this is a great idea to share the potions and the results we can come across (until a guide or what not comes out)

Aye, we need all the help we can get. I've seen nothing except those who know what they are doing making muttering about the technicalities/issues with it. For those unititated into the arcane mysteries of the apothecary it must seem as unpenitrable as some dark sinister cult. I personally also keep loosing the notes I make on what does what. Personally I blame those bright wizards, or with the mention of dark sinster cults, maybe it's the which hunters burning them...

I'd certainly be interested in what those that have access to a butcher/scavenger can come up with.

For example, I've been busy growing Beardweed, and there's a bear claw tooth or something which does the same - and is avalible on a merchant. Sigmar be praised!

Firstly, being blessed with the grace and mental gifts by virtue of elven heritage, I regard your human devotion to Sigmar with both pity and amusement. Though disturbingly close to our fallen cousins' zealotry for the God of Murder, I am thankful that your frail human mind is incapable of such corruption as theirs.

Anyways, if you could find some dye recipes in your travels and trials, the elder race would be most thankful to one such as yourself.

With scavenging/apothecary, I found it useful to grind out the gors/ungors at the beginning of the chaos area to get the ticks. All of those ticks were a guaranteed improved insta heal potion (heals 500 instantly) and possibly a better one (heals 750 instantly). Really helped to have a plethora of those for RvR scenarios. Only thing is you need to use 3 cloudy waters to make a stable potion. Fleas also drop off of gors/ungors, which make AP potions. Also useful in RvR.

Rasputina, good work, its always good to see yet another reason to smite the beasts. Now err... what would a good Sigmarite be doing there? Umm... err...

scyld, your question about dyes, hmmm I have no exprience of that at all. As a Sigmarite priest I work closely with Dwarves, and I have to say they seem to have very little exprience of such things. Again it needs a different container. Just read the descriptions from the trainers/mercant you buy it off and your'll be fine.

A third type of container is the use for something quite different. What I would like to mention though is oft described as the most magical art of the Apothecary. Gold Essences... no this is not true transmutation, that is something that can only be pursued by The Golden Order. But is is something I believe is needed in Talisman making. I only tell you this as this is a Heresy that is practiced by Hedge Wizards and Heretics. What these degenerated will do is...

They will be gathering or growing Goldweed. They they will combine this with Quicksilver, that can generally be broker brought at low levels. They will also need gold dust. This is something Scavengers will sometimes find. So look for those signs and your'll spot the heretic.

What these Talismans? No no no, they are religous Icons... not anything heretical... Really... There's no need to bring the Witch Hunters into this is there?

Sigmar be praised! I've tried to organise my notes here a little better, and pray that we will recieve some more guidance here. Seriously, any more information would be much appreciated. I will update this in a few days.

Unfortunately I must put aside my researches here. Although I really do want to see what leeches do... For the next few days I will be back at the Monastery fasting and praying to Sigmar.

I thank those random souls that sent me items. It was much appreciated. Without being ungrateful, I would appreciate items that aren't on this list - it allows me to focus more on finding new potions to make.

Go in the light and grace of Sigmar

Let me help lighten your burden, Brother.

Come look at the link in my signature. It's a hobby I am doing about different things in WAR Online.

For easier reference:

http://thewarlexicon.forumotion.net/apothecary-f10/apothecary-recipies-t34.htm#34 : These are Apothecary recipies

http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=p2UNZYN49-Xq5emm_XKtjUA : A list of ingredients I have found so far. Says how one can get them, what level they are, what crafting used for etc.

It's a slow process, but it's relaxing for me right now. Feel free to drop me a PM here for feedback or questions.

Works for me.
Good job, very useful.
If only I wasn't playing the German version - now I'll have to translate all those interesting names to the equally interesting German equivalents...

Brother Albrecht that is a superb piece of work, the penmanship alone is superb! Do I detect the influence of Brother Cadfael in your work? The detection and investigation and the light you bring to the subject is worthy of him.

I myself studied under the Venerable brother Bede. I was but a simple scribe for him, and if I have your permission I would like to copy your work on to my own here. Also as requested I have "pm'ed" you about your wonderous table.

Dryad Husks: I´ve seen these drop/scavenged from various tree creatures in a HE Chapter 6 PQ. Forgot what it was called.

I´ve also scavenged an ingridients from undead in HE Chapter 5 PQ that can be used to make Spirit Resistance potions.

I´ll update with precise names when I get home.

Getting an HTTP 500 error.

D,

Yeah, realized that after I made the darn thing I hit Preview instead of Save, so I lost it all. Bah.

I'm remaking it right now.

Hope to have it up soon.

Also, handing the site over to a friend that play WAR, so she will have the link and do the updates for me as I go off on other things. Not enough time to do it myself. She'll have the link and do the updates here.

Just a comment and an addition.

For "bow skill" you really should say Ballistic, as that's the actual name. And it governs guns too I believe.

The Butchering component for +ballistic pots is Feathers.

I stand corrected, I'm an old old man, so my knowledge comes from the beginning of wfrp and Rogue Traders, when Orks had Ballistic Skill, and Orcs had Bow skill.

You will be in my prayers to Sigmar tonight as I repent my ignorance and praise your dedication with feathers.

Serpentine, can you confirm that the Grimy Grave Dirt also does Spirit resistance?

Anyone know what the t2 ballistic skill herb is? I really don't want to go back and start growing t2 stuff again =/

Got a load of t3 stuff to grow and some troll spit to play with tonight when I can get back intio game. Will update when I'm done tomorrow.

...

I can offer more if there's interest.

Generally, leeches and fleas are for health potions. As a witch hunter that's what I'm interested in most. The rest of it kind of makes sense too; scales and chitin give armor, barks give a 'thorns' like effect, troll and ogre spits give slowdown effects, items scavanged from undead (grave dirt and others whose icon looks like it) give spell resistances to spirit or corporeal, teeth and claws give strength (like the expression fighting tooth and nail), and featherlike things aid ranged attacks. You can usually look at an item and judge what it will do if you think about it.

CmdoColin
10-06-2008, 04:32 AM
Excellent work Osmosis J & Tekke. I will light a candle to you both in the vestiary tonight.

I would ask you to confirm where the item comes from - is this correct as to regards butchering and scavenging? As soon as I get confirmation I'll add it.

Elemental Resist - Yhetee Fur

AoE Snare - Ogre Spit
Maybe thrown or centred on you?

Amour Increase - Torn Scale

Having no understanding of either butchering or scavenging are there two names for everything? I'm guessing its the level split - one for the 1,50,100 and 150, and another for the 25,75,125,175? I know the first part changes with each tier - like the watery or musty. But I'm starting to see things like this: Torn Scale/Chitin Shard & Grave Dirt/Defiled Earth. Am I likely to need two names for everything scavenging/butchering?

Tekke,
More than happy to have more - only thing is could I'm also after which gathering skill it comes from. I could only see 3 I'd missed. I'd rather you just checked against your lists to see what I'm missing or have wrong - but otherwise I'll take anything you have.

Go in the light of Sigmar and smite the unbelievers, for as we should remember - we should suffer not the Heretic to live.

I can confirm that the ogre spit makes "sticky bombs", reduces the targets speed by 20% for 5 seconds. Range is limited.

There are other ogre spits that I will try to see if they make better ones.

Glad people are finding it useful.

Anything else it needs?

Thinking about doing a generic breakdown of how to alter the potions - how to increase times on them and stuff. Is that gonna be useful or would I be teaching people to suck eggs? Would it be better on a seperate thread?

Kinda goes into stabilsers and gobswort/fusk and stuff.

Skaven spit (scavenge) for int pots.

The T4 troll spit does not make heal over times, it makes instant heals. I purposely went to farm them last night in the T4 dwarf area, and all I got were the same instant heal pots that you get from leeches at that level! Very disappointing =/

Armor potions, scavenging:
Try harpies, their scav. drops are main ingredients for armor increase potions
