OK a fine job in upgrading the site but a number of things to perhaps change... maybe just get used to.
When we post out user name is BIG... like real big and makes post size smaller, can this be ajusted?
Also html has been disabled; don't know if you inteded...but thought I should point it out becuase it's messed up everyone's sigs :)

Html has been disabled however you can use Vbulletin code. Here is a cheat sheet (http://www.warhammeralliance.com/forums/misc.php?do=bbcode).

Thanks that's fair enough.
But how about the exesivly large names as well as the indent into the post they cause... or is that just me?
Edit: A few more points: firstly - a select sig space?...I suggest that it needs to be smaller to enforce 3 lines.
Also has the factor of editing posts now bump topics again? Don't think it has but always feel it is a good edition to any forum.
Edit2: OK I see it is a select post space rather than sig space... would it be possible that if (when people post 1 liners) it makes post take all space instead of sig?

I'm afriad the large names coupled with extra LONG names does ruin the postbit a tad. Not much we can do to shrink them too much. I can shrink your name though if you like! I prefer the other style of postbit with the postbit information, including name, avatar, etc goes above the post. But in the interest of not scaring off people I've decided to keep it standard. I'll look into the rest of your ideas however I cannot guarantee a timeframe or that they'll be done. They will be looked into though.

Two things I really miss already:
1. The box on the main page that showed all the threads with the most recent posts.
2. The quick reply function.

1) The recent posts box will be comming back
2) Quick Reply might make an appearance in select forums. However these are just rumors at this point.

Same here. And I'd like to know if there will be more color templates in the future, I find lighter color backgrounds with dark text much easier to read

just found this in the FAQ:
The administrator may also have enabled custom avatars, which allows you to upload an avatar image from your computer.
so its just not enabled ?
Nice to see an upgrade.
I would second the alternate color schemes, lighter colors are easier to read.

While its good to know that all the formatting codes still work, I would still like the 'crutch' as it were, of having all of those listed above the text box to 'conviently' click on w/o having to memorize/type it only to realize after posting I misspelled [code] to be {code] or missed that / closing the loop. (lol, case in point.....took me 2 tries just to get the red & bold text correct!)
So um, any chance of the formatting code box making a return?
and...........I NEED MY EMOTICONS! Im lost without this form of expression <insert sad face here> If you do reimplement them could we also get an upgrade in number like the VN Boards have? http://vnboards.ign.com/Help/HelpFaces.aspx
I would also like to request a face banging their head against a wall :D

Skodmunk - Uploading custom avatars has not been enabled. There are currently no plans to allow remote avatars, but on the other hand there are now plenty of avatars in the public gallery to choose from.
Mongoose - In your Profile Options you can change the type of message editor used on the forums. The default setting is for a basic text editor, but you change that to show a message editor which has formatting options above the message windo, or a fully fledged WYSIWYG editor which gives you a dynamic preview of how your post will look as you type it. This feature does not work on all browsers though.
Dante - The guild avatars are only supposed to be available to guild members. We're currently looking at ways to implement this.

Personally I'd like to third the lighter colour scheme this is a tad more depressing to look at, I must admit to prefering the old format...

I'd like to fourth the lighter colour scheme. I prefer the previous colours/format/scheme, it was better.

Sorry guys, there won't be a forseeable change to the colour scheme. You'll have to get used to everything. If you'll take notice, this colour scheme actually goes along with the general palette selected by Mythic: it's much closer to how the world will be. Surely the Warhammer World isn't a light, sandy place?
I disliked the old scheme but grew to like it. The same'll happen here.
Have patience guys. Have an explore and get used to this place, it'll feel like home in no time!
I bring you warmth.

Yeah, I pretty much like the colors alot. And I can really find no quarrel with this upgrade, I'll keep my eyes open however :)

Oh sure! Solve ALL my problems with just a simple solution! Typical Administrator mentality at work ;-)
(lol, nice the WYSIWYG even hides all the tag coding :D )
I would still like a bigger emoticon selection though like the VN boards have. Also what happened to a few of the emoticons like 'twisted' and 'evil'?
Garthilk

I guess your not evil or twisted enough...
(PS. there's a link below the emoticon that says more. It's kind of faint, but it's there.)

The new site renders fine in mac (safari&Firefox)
Only glaring error i saw was in the footer the ascii the copyright symbol is meesed up
© needs to be ©
I think I would like a bit lighter template as well - tho the color combinations work fine (text is very legible) But modifying templates can be a real chore (it is way more involved than most people would think...)
I tip my hat to you guys nice job =D

Is the new posts icon besides each forum category working as intended? As if i go in and look at some topics and then go back to the main index it still says there are new posts in the category i looked at?

Indeed, something doesn't quite work. I check all the new updates, but the forum doesn't think that I have. The only way to clear it is to use one of the "mark all as read" options. To put it otherwise, the 'read' flag isn't reporting quite right.
[Edit: Oh, and another thing, not that it is overly crucial to the world at large. The number of people online baffles me. It says 20, it shows 8. And that is just the users. Does it have another way of determining which users are online, such as by IP address? Or is this number representative of the users which have been online recently?

1) Some users choose to remain invisible while browsing & posting (check your options). Some are guests (readers who don't log in), and some users you can see.
2) For now, untill I fix it, if you mark all as read, the next time you show up click new posts to read all the new posts, or simply look for the WHA icon.

AHHHHHH! Now stop that! How dare both you and Pendrako solve my problems so easily!  (yeah, its almost lost in the grey background, maybe a color change is in order? Not that I care now that I can see it :D )
Now show me where the 'head banging against a wall' emoticon is and Im done ;)

Er.... problem with the WYSIWYG Editor namely it keeps putting gaps in where there are none in my post, if it's WYSIWYG what I post should be what I see afterwards but it isn't. So I think that it's broken...
EDIT: It just very kindly made some of my text black and left some as the standard colour which resulted in a nice chunk of it being invisible until I changed it what is going on with the WYSIWYG thing?
