Gathering I assume? I don't know enough about tradeskills yet to know what to take though.

Other gathering skills will also yield some Apothecary items. But Scavenging yields the most useful ones overall.

Well, I don't know about scavenging, but I have found that butchering gives you all of the component you need for potion making. In fact, about 85% of the things I've butchered (picked up with this skill) gave Apothecary ingredients.
Same goes for Cultivating. I think so far, everything I've made with cultivating gave me Apothecary ingredients.
So it's a tough choice ... but go with the one that you like best of the bat. Cultivating will take up TONS of backpack space, and quite a bit of your time. But you will be able to make goldweed (needed for talisman making) so it can be a money maker later onin the game.
Butchering is simple and easy. But the ingredients also take up a lot of space ... hehe. You will also be able to sell most of the stuff you don't need, and be able tomake money at the beginning of the game.
As far as I know, scavenging yields mostly coins, on occasion a curio and some ingredients. So as far as I know, best choices for Apothecary are butchering and cultivating.

It isn't this topic, but i don't wanna make a new one for this "noob" question. :) Where can i find the Apothecary trainer in the greenskins 2nd chapter? I searchd in the web, i looked in all camp but nothing... Anyone can give a correct, exactly location pls? Thx for answer.

De-railing threads is a no-no. That aside, all the trainers should be in the second camp (Chapter 2) you enter. Look around the camp, and don't forget to look around the camp a bit as well. The trainer has yellow text underneath his name that says 'Apothecary'.

Since he asked, I would like to know where I could get the materials to make dyes and such? I have scavenging now, should I change if I want to make dyes?

So far I've found Butchering gives you the ingredients to make Healing potions... HoT ones anyway

Cultivating imo :)
Scavanging makes the most money from NPCs
Cultivating seems to make the hard to get items though.
Any of the 3 will go well though. Butchering, scavanging or cultivating.

Across the path from the Saw Mill. He is a little Gobbo I believe. I guess it would be northish of the Saw Mill.

To get the main ingredient for dyes you need special main ingredients which are basically "crits" from cultivation. They are rare.

I think Cultivation is the most useful once it's maxed. Cultivation "crits" are where you are going to get the Main Ingredient for dyes and you can get stabilizers as well from it. Everything from Cultivation directly feeds into Apothecary, the other gathering professions have a wider variety of items you get from them imo.
(I know there are like 1 or 2 ingredients that help with Talisman making in Cultivation but they are fairly uncommon)

I posted this elsewhere, but now that the game is live it was probably buried--
There's no "best" gathering skill to compliment Apothecary, there is only a worst one: Salvaging. Salvaging is good, but not for Apothecary. It's designed for Talisman making.
Cultivating--
Plant an Elvish Daffodil for Health, and Elvish Parsley for Restoration.
Butchering--
Lots of different items give you Restoration, ticks (from deer and bats mostly) give you Health.
Scavenging--
Leeches give you Health. I don't know what gives you Restoration.
If there has to be a "best," then that's still hard to work out. Here are the differences that I've noticed:
Cultivating will give better results, but requires more investment. You need a seed, and three other items (soil, water, nutrient) to get the best results. It also takes several minutes for your plant to grow, and you have to put the soil/etc in at specific times. You can't just plant and forget, so it requires attention. This attention is rewarded by usually giving your seed back, possibly giving you secondary results (saps that provide stability in recipies), and items that sell for more at vendors. EDIT: Cultivating also has a little more versatility, since you can get pigments through critical successes. You can grow Goldweed, used in alchemy, but you also need gold dust, which I think can only be reliably found through Scavenging. I hope alchemy is good, given that you need two characters to do it :P
Butchering will give consistently good results, but require you to hunt beasts. This is easy in lower tiers, and still possible at higher levels. Everything you get is useful for something. However about 1/4 of the stuff I've butchered is a Cultivation item (nutrients mostly, maybe even exclusively). There's a title for butchering 50 animals, I don't think I got a title for growing 50 plants. *shrugs*
Scavenging I don't know much about since I've never done it. But people say you get apothecary water (as opposed to cultivation water) so that's good. Apparently you also get trash loot sometimes... That's kind of a push, though. It's bad because you can't craft with trash, but it's good because that stuff sells moderately well. If you can Scavenge off of PC corpses, then I'd see this as a major benefit, but I simply don't know.
So in summary: The system is incredibly deep and incredibly balanced. To the point where it really doesn't matter which gathering skill you take. If you have time and don't mind paying attention, go with cultivating. If you don't, go with one of the others.

Got the title "The Cultivator" when my level was around 98ish, though I had probably made over 500 plants because of the horrid 30-50 leveling gap you have to do.

The Cultivator sounds familiar. Maybe I got that one after all... Problem is that it was a week ago and I have enough trouble remembering 10 minutes ago.
EDIT: I forgot to mention some other cultivating stuff. I'll just edit it into the previous post. I forgot about dyes and alchemy.
