Although I doubt this would ever appear in an MMO, I think it is something that is worth discussing when it comes to Da Greenskins. To quote the Orcs & Goblins Army Book:
"When greenskins get together they start to pick fights, bicker and misbehave is all sorts of appalling ways. Even at the best of times, squabbling in the ranks can send a greenskin horde into disarray. One momennt a mob is striding purposefully towards the enemy, and the next it is brought to a halt whilst two or more greenies settle their differences."

For anyone familiar with the Fantasy TT and battles between the Greenskins and their opponents they are well aware that many times animosity has been a factor in whether the Greenskins win or not. My question is this; should animosity somehow be incorperated into WAR and if so, how should this be done?

No, it should not. First of all, in an MMO, all playable factions need to be balanced with each other, otherwise the game because unfun for people. It just don't strike me as somtin that would work.

Oh and by the way, don't the Black Orcs keep the smaller and runtier boyz in line.

have arenas and duel options for players who want to duke it out with thier own faction, personaly i'm gonna have some fun bashing in da pink skinniez before i wanna bust some orc 'edz!

once we run out of enemies, thats when we fight amoungst ourselves.

Well, you never mentioned your second point (or you just chose not to number it):p

Yes the Black Orcs keep the other boyz in line.

My own ides were that if it were to be incorperated, then it should only afflict the NPCs within the Orc horde and not any players own character. Possibly a similar thing could be that the NPCs in the other races also face similar problems (Empire Cannons misfiring?)

I like the idea of incorporating an animosity system. Perhaps one tuff player can earn the title of warboss and until beaten can lead the Waaagh!! to the dwarfs,

Hmmm, nah, much as seeing a cannon blowing up in their faces or orcs start beating the crap out of each other to see who gets to keep the trophy or whateva, it just doesn't seem like somthing that would work to well in an MMO.

Only way to add anything like this would implant a "drop" In WAAGH etc when team mates around you die.

Though it really does not make any sense.

I doubt it'll be a PC game mechanic, but I'm sure that in PvE Orks will have to contend with rogue Orks. In fact I remember reading about a rogue warboss in one of the tiers on the official site. I think it'll be an NPC and PvE quest device, added for flavor. Of course, you can always RP it as a PC. Just turn on one of your buddies during a quest and ask for a duel if he takes "da gud lootz." Oh you orks and your colorful language.

I'd like to see a commander position for infamous individuals in a game who have the ability to organize the realm vs. Realm combat into certain areas. So it doesn't always turn to chaos and people running all over the place capping strong points and losing other ones.

Animosty would be fun... but yet would also hinder our fighting power. Either way it turns out I'll be happy.

Necromancy! Let this thread die with dignity, there's nothing new to be said about the subject.

Animosity couldn't be implemented as a game mechanic. To be constantly present in the world. But maybe to represent it the Orcs could have a Brawling Pit in areas. where it's just a massive FFA for all the greenskins, no rules, no regulations.

Simply allowing us to duel each other will solve the problem. Like in most other MMOs.

then there are those occasions where your 'i dont take any crap' black orc boss is in a unit of other orcs who decide to squable, and your boss kills a handful of them just be bad
