Ok for example.I want to make 20 healing potions. In wow u have to gather 40 lotus(example dont remember what) and 20 orchides.
In WAR ok i have to FIND nitrous seed then cultivate it.nitrous seed drops from what mobs 100%?? i guess none cause all mob sdrop different seeds.
In war u knew that lotus grow in that area so only think u need is to go there and cut them down.(yes i agree that other farm them too but i think its less farming than the hmmm 150 mobs killed 15 nitrous seeds).
What do u think guys?

You could just buy the mats from the apoth-trainer.. The have all the lvl 1 ingredients.. Only higher-level ingredients need to be "farmed"..

Get scavenging and then say that again; you can get a hell of a lot of materials simply from RvRing.

Words, I always had stack of HP pots / hot pots ready for my level, just by questing/rvring and scavenging them, then brewing it in town, never went let's-kill-these-for-mats.

There's another key difference between WoW and WAR. Correct me if I'm wrong, since I never played WoW, but from what I've been told you had to grind crappy stuff to make mediocre stuff, and had to grind mediocre to make decent, and so on.
In WAR even the level 1 stuff is completely useful. I made 20 Brief Potions of Clout last night, and have used about half of them. Who doesn't want 10 Strength?
For a total of 20 copper at any vendor in the world I can craft a Restoration potion that'll HoT for... Uhh... I honestly can't remember. I want to say 200 over 10 seconds? How's that bad? There are better, but you can not just suffice but even thrive with just level 1 ingredients.

NicWester,
I totally agree. In WoW you vendor 90% of the stuff you make leveling up the trade skill. While I don't think there is a market for low level potions, I am finding them very useful and they have actually saved my butt a few times.
And ya, who doesn't love a 10 str potion!? or a healing pot in a Scenario?
I'm very pleased with crafting in WAR. It's sort of fun and it feels rewarding.

I used the vendor to get over 25 then i grabbed scavenging and from just killing mobs and peopel and scavening iam up to 93.
Very low cash input and getting some nice heal potions out of it, random sometimes but getting heal pots lol.
WoW was pointless, u had to grind on triv stuff atleast when u start here u actually are produceing something not just making stuff to lvl then sell to vendor.

My issue at the moment is that I tend to outgrow in level my crafting. Although I cultivate and craft everything I come across I still find I have to run back to the lower tier and farm for the stuff I need. My Cultivating is fine (Tier 2 and about 90 cultivation) however my apocrathy still requires level 50 stuff to reach the 75 mark. Everything that is dropping for me at the moment is level 100 or at the very least 75 stuff, so this means I once again have to run back and farm more from a lower area. So if you take cultivation atleast there is still a lot of farming that needs to be done, although nowhere near as much as WoW.
One of the reasons I think that my cultivation has outgrown my apothecary so much is that half the stuff you grow is for gold, but gold dust comes from another trade (salvaging I think it is) and rarely drops, well it hasnt dropped for me yet so I am dubouis on whether its a drop at all. So half the stuff I make is useless. Gold Dust is rarely seen on the AH so that doesnt help much either.
I am starting to think that I need to drop Cultivation in favor of Salvaging.
EDIT:
Ignore all of above as I just read about using lvl1 stuff to increase skill :) Doh! Although if it takes pots per point < 50, I can only imagine the sort of numbers it will take at < 75
I just hope for a feature to auto-make all you can with your ingredients, like WoW has. The click spam crafting was unpopular in DAOC and lead to people botting it.
