Who's that short man in the back row?
On my character select screen, I have a goblin stuck on the row behind a marauder and a black ork, both of which I'm attached to. I can not select the goblin due to the game assuming I mean to select either of the large guys in the front row. Is there any way to select the little guy, and to make sure that this does not happen again?

as a quick fix just delete one of the other characters, like the level 1 zealot, which should move shorty to the front row

What if the R1 Zealot is a bankalt with stuff on AH and bank? He shouldn't have to delete one character to be able to click another one of his.

Unfortunately, I don't believe there's a known way to move characters around. However, you could try playing with the setting that stores the last character you logged in on in WAR\user\UserSettings.xml (it's near the bottom, inside a <Login > tag, it says character="#" where # is the number of a certain character - you can change that to change which is considered 'active', i.e. the one it'll initially display when you log in.
Keep in mind that WAR needs to not be running when you edit this file, or it'll overwrite your changes.

I've had this problem myself and I could target the character hiding in the back by taking off some of the armour of the big guy(s) in front of him.
Good luck! |

I found that if you change servers it seems to select the char that is in that same position.
Make a few random alts on a server with one easy to select one in that position. And swap servers pick that slot and swap back. I am close to being affected by the same issue, but can still get to my Shaman. I wonder if they are listed in a config file or anything - and if so would it be possible to swap the Black Orc and Shaman entries around to change their positions. Will cehck later to see if you can.

the characters in front do random movements, sometimes you can get a click in before they go back to their old position

Nop. The order is stored server-side. :/ Only the most recently selected character is stored in the local config (as I mentioned above).

You can move trophies to different locations, you should be able to move characters too. Don't think you can right now though. My dwarves are right in the front row, or high on the steps in the back, so I have no problem

I've had this issue for a while, but always ended up to furious to put myself together and write a bug report.
I made this SH to be my cultivating char, ran him to the trainer, logged out, sent about 200-300 cultivating stuff to him from my other chars and logged out for the evening. Next day I couldn't find the SH at all, I thought some bug ate my cultivating mats. Some day later I noticed something not moving in phase with my BO, turned out to be the ear of my SH. You can see it here: http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h1...enshot_000.jpg I can only select this character if my BO is wearing small enough shoulders AND I find the right pixel to target (the BO is targetable a bit outside its visible parts) AND if I time the actual clicking of the mouse correctly. Here is another picture with my mouse pointer at the same pixel, a few seconds later: http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h1...enshot_001.jpg (Notice that I actually deleted the character to the left of the SH, in a hope that it would be transferred to that position) Please dev's, atleast let us be able to target our characters with F1, F2, F3... or something. |

Tab selecting would be a quick fix to this problem. Hope Mythic listens.
