There's a bug with the core party/warband data being provided by the client - some of the career line fields have the wrong values in them (things like 62, 64 - when the normal career line values only range from 1-24).

Hopefully Mythic will hotfix that soon - it's breaking even the default group/warband windows.

The savesettings parameter for windows which are anchored to Root now defaults to "false" - if you wish to have a window's position saved automatically by the game, you will need to explicitly set this option to "true".

hehe, that's because you read your own pre-patch change notices

Thanks again for summarising changes in advance for us Aiiane, the /wardev section of your website really helps a ton to get a heads up before a big patch.

I've known for awhile that 1.3.1 breaks the NerfedButtons command-line, however I'm not sure I really understand the reasoning behind removing the capability to link abilities via chat when 1.3.1 still allows you to link items. There are so few abilities compared to items in the game that removing ability linkage seems strange from a performance improvement point of view...

Doesn't really matter that much to NerfedButtons as its high time we integrated the GUI anyway, just seems a strange change.

Any views on this?

EDIT: Disregard what I said before, I just realized you can import your old sequences so I can just rearrange which is what I was looking to do. Good to know I dont have to completely rebuild them.

My guess (and I don't know this for sure, since I don't know the internal mechanics of the system, but my guess...) is that they removed the data from ability links to reduce the amount of data that was being sent with the combat log, so that they could minimize the bandwidth necessary in that regard. Since the linking system doesn't allow you to view links you're not "supposed" to have the data for (to prevent datamining via arbitrarily-generated links), that means that the links have to somehow either mark your client as being "permitted" for the data in the tooltip, or actually transmit the tooltip data in some form when they are sent. Either way, that takes up extra processing/network time which could be spent elsewhere.

Since items aren't linked at nearly the rate at which abilities are in the combat log, that's probably why one was disabled and not the other.

There is completely different problem in PeaceOut - there are some changes in data\strings\<LANG>\hardcoded.txt, so you have to replace numbers 464 with 461 and 465 with 462...


I have updated PeaceOut a few weeks ago for 1.3 and I did contact original author (NigelTufnel) on CurseForge if I can release my changes or if I can maintain his project. No answer so far.
As original mod does not work at all with patch 1.3.1, I have decided to share my changes:

Changes:
- updated for patch 1.3.1
- corrected string references
- window title no longer handles input, so clicking on title will not make its text to "dissapear"
- rewritten slash commands support (should be way more effective)
- removed LibSlash support, with changes to slash commands support it doesn't need to be optional
- rewritten support for closing PeaceOut window using ESC (I'm using WindowUtils functions instead of hooking main menu window)
- added required EA dependencies

Known bug:
- When slash command (like "/logout") is used right after loging in, PeaceOut window is not displayed. It seems it occurs only when system log is empty. (This issue was also in original version 1.1 and I didn't find a fix yet)
