What's better than stinky, sneaky, ugly, hairy ratmen with a rifle ? I'm hoping that they will add them soon, this will bring alot players to the game. Come on Mythic.

I would post on the official site but It doesnt recognise any of my characters so i can't post :\
How cool would it be if it were a third faction though.. they could have the different clans rise from the sewers of every town in a whole realm event |

I think its a great idea, but i reckon mythic has more important things to worry about like staying in business for the next year and trying to make the product what it should have been at release before they can start tinkering with this kind of expansion.

Therefore we now startet a petition to the address of Mythic entertainmentwith the demand to get the Skaven out of their holes. You are also the opinion that Skaven are to be introduced? Sign now the petiton " encourages the Skaven" |

Also, some corrections: -nowhere in the armybook and lore is there any mention of Pestilens plague-magic being able to heal your units afaik. -Eshin Assassins would play way too similar to DE Witch Elves (dual daggers, poisons, stealthy) -night runners are nothing like witch hunters/elves.On the TT they are just (weak) scouts -what is a Shadow Hunter? You mean Shadow Warrior?I don`t think Gutter runners are ranged troops. -they are called Warlock Engineers (a good choice for a RDPS tho.Let the Gray Seer or Plague Priest be the healer) -Jezzails on the TT (and lore) are two-man (uh,rat) teams of rather stationary long rifle users standing behind a triangular shield. Not exactly "mobile RDPS",is it?And again, *two models*,not *one* jezzail user. -globadiers as MDPS? Ridiculous. They throw posioned orbs.Throw,as in RANGED. -Rat ogre as tank is OP (bigger than Chaos Chosen).Stormvermin could easily fit the role (heavy armor, hand weapon+shield or twohander specc with Halberd) I could see Skaven as: -Stormvermin tank -Gray Seer/Plague Priest as healer -Warlock Engineer as RDPS -many things can be MPDS,depends on what clan they go for. |

Order - 12 careers So really, he's missing one career in that post. He did say faction, not race, though the simularities in this post is quite confusing imo. Also, if no skaven gutterrunner/assassin, then skaven faction would be the only one without a stealth career, wuut? |

2. I do not have the skaven warbook, my idea's came from my old advanced heroquest rulebook (ancient) There are better threads on the official boards with regards to skaven anyways, i was just bouncing around ideas on the forums. A skaven Packmaster with Rat ogre could actually be the first ever Pet Tank class, it would be difficult to play and probably even harder to code, but it would be something very interesting if done well. It could be similar to a whitelion, but the packmaster himself would be weaker and the rat ogre stronger. Instead of the packmaster running into combat, he would stay back at medium range with his whip and belt his Ogre into a fury. |

Even if the Rat-Ogre did more damage, I'd imagine that people would still go for the Packmaster, ignoring the Rat-Ogre completely.
Hm, to combat that maybe the Packmaster could have a constant Guard while the Rat-Ogre's alive, or better still, a 50% chance to dodge attacks directed at him as long as the Rat-Ogre's alive. As much as I agree with Knucklez about Skaven not having healers, for the interest and enjoyment of the players you need some, otherwise they'd be at a large disadvantage. A single side with 4 classes might be better then stretching them out to their four seperate clans. Since each clan has quite different focuses, I'd imagine it would be a nightmare to balance them all out. The usual classes I think of are: Plague Censor Bearer: Close Combat that does more damage the longer it's in combat, building up the poisonous cloud of death as it swings) Eshin Assassin: Single Target attacker like the Witch Elf. Attacks do poison damage, while it can also use throwing stars at range. Focuses on Dodge instead of Parry. Packmaster: Pet class that can choose between a single Rat-Ogre for a tank pet, or a swarm of 3 (or 6) Giant Rats that do DPS. Uses things like Skalm salve to heal his pets and allies nearby, while using his whip to egg on his pets. (the whip might also have a disarm ability) Warlock Engineer: Ranged DPS like a Brightwizard. Is equipped with warpclaws and a warplock pistol. Can learn things like Warplightning, Warpstone mortar, a landmine type trap, Brass Orb for a moral 4 (Like Rift, but sucks enemy into it's point of inpact, stunning and dealing damage over a short period). I'm more hazy on the Stormvermin as a tank. Since a Skaven that's able to take a lot of punishment is quite the contradiction. I did think of having an Aura abilities based on pheramones but... one it's kind of rediculous and two, the other races wouldn't respond to them on the same level as Skaven. Maybe the Stormvermin gives buffs to their allies that vary in power depending on how many allies are around them? Now, the Plague Monk and/or Greyseer. Skaven magic is inheritantly destructive only with no healing, so either we have a race that has no healing (letting the existing races heal for them) so they can focus on damage completely, or they could... I don't know... have a passive ability that lets all Skaven within a certain radius gain health over time based on how many allies are closeby? I would really like to play on the Skavens ability to be weak individually, strong in numbers since that could work really well in Warhammer Online which is focused on RvR and group based battles more then PvE. Of course, that leads to the problem of what do they do outside of these battles. Hm, I know too much about the Skaven so I'm less flexible in my ideas, wanting to remain as close to how they're represented as possible. Someone who knows less about them, or doesn't follow them as much as I do can probably come up with better ideas.
