Extenders after Patch Update

Boars are certainly not dropping extenders as before. I actually had extender drops from other mobs elsewhere like Lizards and Wolves; but only at a ratio of 5 pieces per hour.

Anyone found the new extender spot yet?

I'm serious, I need level 200 extenders, multipliers and stabilizers (ideally goldweed), I can't consistently get them from butchery so I beg a guildmate, or go shopping when I need them.

I can't get extenders to drop for the life of me. Is something bugged?

As with the liniment and dye ingredients, these seem to be randomly butcherable. I don't think anything drops them, so they're more or less unfarmable.

So if you want them reliably, ask a friend, make an alt a cultivator, or buy them on the AH. =/ Not ideal, but still better than before.

Butchering is completely useless if you can't butcher extenders reliably. This is pretty frustrating.

I know its said that you cannot farm them reliably, but I've been getting them frequently in the past few days. Granted, I am not a high level butcher (my butcher is R16/16), but I have been getting them frequently off of wolves and lions in Ostland/Trollwhatever.

Frequently is not enough.
You need one extender per ingredient, without the extender the ingredien is also "useless".

Frequently is enough. You cannot expect to get your desired sub-component on every butcher, it is asking too much. This is just my personal opinion, but I'll hold to it. It'd be like a Cultivator expecting to get a hybrid seed with each and every plant they grow. Every three, maybe four butcher has gotten me one and I am ok with this. Granted, I seem to be luckier than some with what I get, as I get a random dye component about as often.

I'm pretty sure you would have an easy time finding a cultivator who would happily trade extenders for armor, absorb, snare, thornshield or what have you.
