Destruction Knockback?????

I've been thinking this for some time and been very annoyed - since (afaik) they streamlined all the crowdcontrol (stun, slow knock down/back) some patch ago.

Destro knockbacks gets INSANE distance.

Tonight in IC - I Knockback some destro from the first stairlanding going up to order Spawncamp - they get knocked down the stairs and a few feet out. Fine

5 sec later I get knocked back from same location - and I was thrown clean into the wall Sorrounding the Apex. (and not a banner in sight). I've also seen insane distances in altdorf - about a full city block.

What is up with this? As if it wasn't enough that they could pull you in and then stun/knockdown once you land for a guaranteed kill?

Is it supposed to be this way? - and what feeble, weakminded poorly-worded substitute for an excuse have they given for it?

Hope that helps.

Well, there are at least short and medium knockbacks (zealot morale and magebolt respectively), not sure about other knockbacks.

I've also noticed that certain knockbacks sends you flying more upwards than away, to the point where I was knocked over the outer walls of High Pass Cemetery during the event, leaving me with no way to get back inside but (mostly) LoS in to pewpew orderlings.

You have been Golf'd by a Blackguard. Using the Glaive as a Driver is just too funny.
Hm, I wonder if it's possible to Hole-In-One someone with the falling damage if you choose the right angle in IC?

Also, the Knight has an insanely high KB although I don't think it's range is very good.

The Knight's one barely knocks you back 15 feet if that, but sends you flying above walls

And depending on health and location you can most certainly kill someone with that BG knockback (From top of Apex into corner walls for instance, or just off one of the many cliffs in IC )

You must be new to KBs....

Chosen have the worst KB in game... We only KB about 10ft. We complained enough that mythic gave us.... wait for it... a tactic.

Thats right, so instead of buffing it to your 15 ft KB or improving it, we have to fill a tactic slot to get improved KB with a cooldown timer. A cool down timer that is worthless when the KB enhancement doesnt always work and the immunity timer is 1 minute.

Thank you for your concerns, they are hereby retarded in comparison.

One of my best BG moments was doing just that to knock this retarded WL of the cliff like 3 times. He got his epeen hurt and wanted revenge and for some reason wouldn't move when I would maneuver into position for the knockback. Finally I think he logged in nerdrage

But PLEASE dont complain about being knock backed so far by BGs as Golfing and the cool armour are really the only reason I would ever play my BG anymore.

lol... play a dok. we get 1 (one) knockback, at rank 40, with such a small cone of effect it's rediculous, and the shortest range of any knockback. also, at one point, they nerfed it so much that when it was used on someone they just "jumped" 1 foot up, and that was it.

Well Swordmaster knockback ain't that much to cheer about - seems half the targets are immune to them and you knock the rest away - and that is a perfect balance play - so needs at least two other attacks to work - makes it a poor first strike weapons - you basically have to time it extermly right, or wait until people have have a good to attacks at the tragets you're protecting...

Heh I remember fighting the lord in the western most keep in Caledor when lo and behold I get launched out the door, hit the top of the outer wall and fall to my death. Hilarious at the time, although I do wonder what class actually did it.

Seriously, OP. Go play against a bunch of dwarfs someday and see what the IBs knockback is like... It must be because they are so short that they get a good angle from beneath, because they can send you FLYING.

Strangely enough neither of the gobbos have that advantage... Guess we're too runty for that

But it is a lot less OP than the plink plink kite is in WAR, especially with run away tactic.

As for the other OP, can I just say Gromril Plating?

Shamans used to have a good kb, the new one is barely worth wasting the gcd on since the distance gained isn't enough to cast a 3 s cast, ofcourse unless I kb down a hill... I'm not sure if it's stil the same distance just that I do t get blown away myself, but it sure seems alot shorter and if you ask me, using the tactic for Eeeek! Is NOT worth it now...
