its time

to open the "lakes" and flood the whole map with rvr(keep the lvl restriction unlike pvp servers).
ofc they will have to add a few more key points than bo's and keeps to make this work.
a good example will be a few pq's that reward you with renown points.
well...just an idea.

1)will add a feel of danger since will be no safe zones except camps.
2)more options than "follow the zerg" to the keep.
3)skirmishes all over the map.

Open RvR servers are your answer if you're looking for this. Core servers are meant to give the player an option to swap between RvR and PvE.

Yeah.
@ OP : feel free to venture to the forums of the last existing EN ORvR server (Eltharion) sitting on low-low most of the time.
ORvR ruleset was added as an afterthought addition to the orginal Core ruleset due to complaints that Core was apparently "carebear stuff for wussies".
Turned out just as awesome as city sieges prior to recent changes

Edit : and PQs awarding RR is not a good idea.
Itīs bad enough that you can RvE your way to glory, the game does not need any additional means of gaining RR by avoiding opposition.

Mythic seperating RVR and PVE in each tier was a big mistake. Playing through a tier and never being in danger of a player from the opposite side was boring and dull.

They built the tier maps with giant walls seperating each side and one must go through hoops to get to the other side to kill them in their PVE area.

I've never seen a game go through such an effort to keep opposing sides from fighting eachother, and I'm especially suprised that it comes from a game boasting it's RVR experience.

Play on an open rvr server then?
I'm sorry, but that statement seemed really dumb.

open rvr servers allowed for 20s to come in and butcher tier 1 players. they should keep the chicken effect in. whenever they can get apprenticing down in they should make evertyhing open to pvp (only reason they let high lvls to go down into the lower tiers was so they could get tome unlocks)

that was the big mistake they made in orvr servers, instead of rvr they encouraged ganking from high lvls.
i hope in the future if they make another orvr server to keep the lvl restrictions in each tier.
as for the pq's rewarding renown points:
not high renown so everyone to farm the renown ranks throu pve, neither low so nobody to care about it.a normal amount that actually will promote the rvr.
shoe got it right.
war is a pvp game that force you to fight in certain areas, and that areas only, without giving you any alternatives or initiative to choose where you want to fight.
its like this:fight here we want or not fight at all.

when i first rolled on sea of malice, i specifically didn't want an orvr server. the idea of trying to finish quests or just walking from point A to point B and getting panzered constantly wasn't my idea of a good time.

three days later i was swearing and cussing that i didn't roll on an orvr server.

I don't think it's stupid at all, cause ATM most players chose server after population, not rvr status, meaning people like me, who Wanna play on an english server with high pop have like two servers to chose from...

ORvR servers are not at all like this. It's possible for this to happen given the ruleset, but no content actually promotes it.

ORvR has ganking in T1(I was ganked once on >10 ORvR T1 characters), and that's about it for outside-the-lakes PvP. You might, maybe, possibly run into someone while questing, and I suppose there's a few areas in T1/T2 DvG that can usually offer a fight.

But no, by and large there isn't this kind of action of ORvR servers. It is a myth that there is.
