WAR, is it worthing coming back to it?

Hello all! I used to be a die hard WAR player for a short while, from release I played a month or two, and couldn't settle on a faction, race or even class style I liked. I also had a huge guild on WoW that was progressing fast, and I didn't want to leave them. I ended up leaving WAR to play WoW (Fail move!), and a major deciding factor was roleplay, not that it was lacking..But the game lacked the ability to allow you to rp fully. No sit, lie down, or even slow walk.

I came back again after I gave up on WoW, and loved it, but I didn't have the time to dedicate to an mmo over the summer, as I spent most, if not all, of my summer coding an emulator for a private WoW server that flopped. Mind you I'm 16 and my coding skills are lacking..So the emulator wasn't perfect. I played some LOTRO, and fell in love with the graphics, but messing with Lord of the Rings lore was not in any interest of mine, so I stopped.

My question is, has the game gotten any better? The second time I came back, finding any roleplay was almost impossible, and what I did find was usually illiterate erotic roleplaying, which drove me mad. After playing WoW again for about a month, I've realized that Blizzard doesn't care for it's playerbase, and I remember the first week I got WAR (Release week I beleive), a game master was POSTING on the forums, interacting with the community. Needless to say I wet myself.

I can afford the $15 a month easy, and love Warhammer lore, and even moreso, I love what has been done with WAR as a whole. So...Is it worth coming back? Is the rp community still kicking on Phoenix Throne? And has any of the little things improved at all?

Oi mate,

Well a few things have happened since you left. WAR is down to 4 servers, all core ruleset. Most of the Phoenix Throne community moved to Badlands. This does not mean that Roleplay is dead. In fact, the Phoenix Crown Alliance and Gaiscioch host a weekly (every Monday) RP night in Ekrund on Badlands for Order. Send me (Zarukhad) a tell if you need help getting back into the game. I am on the order side, so if you would prefer to stick to destruction, then you should look up Dexteram Tzeentch or Knights of the WhiteWolf. They are both excellent guilds from Phoenix Throne.
