Man that has me hyped for this game. I'm gaining more and more faith that this game will be excellent. I really hope its everything im imagining it to be.

But we have to wait ARGH! I'm eager to start the bloodshed!

City siege sounds like a blast. I don't know about everyone else but 48v48 is plenty large. Anyone who's ran AV a thousand times knows 40 people is plenty on a side.

I just hope either I get a new computer or my current one could even support something like 75v75 without lagging me to death.

holy freaking crap shamans sound like fun. how the heck does someone concieve of a way to actually make someone feel like a insane little gobo?

"just above his action bar, is a pair of stylized orcish heads. One represents Gork (who is fighty but cunning) and the other represents Mork (who is cunning but fighty). When you're blasting out DoTs, nukes, and other offensive spells, you pay homage to Gork. This makes Mork highly jealous, and he begins to offer you incentives to come back around to his way of thinking. IE: casting heals. This builds up your Mork meter, making the Mork head more visible and highlighting your Mork spells."

Also they said the ui was actually customised to your race and class. a shamans ui would look like goblin like, and a bright wizard would look bright wizard like. wow.

Not sure if anyone else noticed but I thought this was pretty cool:

"Bonus Trivia: Several classes have special 'back-slot' items. Engineers, for example, have backpacks instead of cloaks. Black Orcs have giant backracks of spikes and skulls."

Yay, no silly cloak for my Black Orc!

Massive Battles

Guys,

I was reading through this thread and decided to stop lurking and chime in.

Nothing we said has changed about sizes of Capital City battles. Whatever is the "fun" number is the number we will go with. We are still shooting for 75v75 (more likely 72v72), but we would love it to be larger for some of these critical areas. This limit is only in the instanced, contested, Capital City areas though (and of course in our general, instanced scenarios throughout the world 6v6, 12v12 and larger battles do happen).

The video that many have linked here still holds true, though we are definately tweaking and improving the city experience based upon testers feedback and everything is still open to be changed if needed to make it better.

Remember, much of our RvR takes place in the open world and can have pretty large numbers involved. I literally just got done with a 3 hour long fight in beta that had 100v100 testers or more rampaging around Marshes of Madness, capturing objectives, seiging keeps and causing general mayhem. For those concerned, Destruction prevailed and captured the zone

I know this doesn't answer all of your concerns, but at least know that we are aware of them and that we are paying attention to what you guys desire.

-Jeff

Well - in this case, I was playing on the winning side (of course). Specifically I was playing a Shaman, Rank 16, Renown Rank 9.

Thanks a heap for the reply Mr. Hickman. I know it comforts the community to no end knowing that ya'll have a finger on the pulse of our concerns. The 100v100 battle sounds like a blast. All of us CE pre-order freaks are drooling in anticipation of open beta. Hopefully you were on the side of destruction and took part in knocking those order snoots down a peg or 10.

-Finn

p.s. Damn this is moving fast. Glad to hear you are doing the greenies proud.

I hope your little git brought down the wrath of Gork and Mork on the forces of Order.

Hopefully you represented your guild well.

For those who played WoW, 40v40 in AV was pretty insane in the preTBC days 4 day long AV's massed on one area, and those fights were pretty big, 48, or what jeff was saying 72 is still a lot of people, and don't forget the pets, and that their are 24 classes mixing everything up.
