Have you ever noticed how many posts have been "Edited for Content" I have yet to see one thread without at least 2 of these.

i just got back form the gamesday in baltimore the playable classes that i seen in my 3 rounds on order side was engineer, ironbreaker, shadow warrior, archmage, warrior priest, rune priest, bright wizard. I dont know all the dest playables but i know i ran into zealots, black orcs, squig herders, shamans and over and over again. there was no black guard, and really dont remember seeing any dark elves at all except maybe a witch elf? i killed one female melee something over and over with a shadow warrior during one round. cant remember teh names of all the scenarios but was quite a few.

after playing was given a card. On the front side it says "JOIN THE WARHAMMER ONLINE CLOSED BETA TEST! GET AN EXCLUSIVE IN-GAME ITEM AT LAUNCH!" on the back it says "USE OF THIS CODE WILL RESERVE A SPOT FOR YOU IN THE WARHAMMER ONLINE BETA TEST" is exactly what is printed on the card below the code itself. It doesnt say closed or open, just beta. Below that it says "EXCLUSIVE GAMES DAY ATTENDEE IN-GAME BONUS ITEM - SKAVE SKIN CLOAK LURK AROUND LIKE A SKAVEN WHEN YOU CAST "BLESSING OF THE HORNED RAT UNSEEN"

i have entered preorder codes on beta account and now have entered the GamesDay code, it is two different codes as both now show on the accounts page, but like a previous poster has stated, all it says is

Current Associations:
  • Amazon Collectors Edition Pre-Order
  • 2008 Game Days
what that means exactly i dont know. one step closer to getting invited next round of invites or what?

A nugget amongst the garbage!

Raul, any indication of what "lurk around like a skaven" means? I may have to double efforts to get myself one of those.

It wouldn't be anything gamebreaking like that. Perhaps it might change your appearance for a limited time (e.g. WoW's Savoury Deviate Delights)

One person won a shirt during the Q&A for asking Jeff and Josh what they had for breakfast that morning.

Needles to say, they both had unsatisfactory morning meals.

They were also asked if they could divulge more information about The Black Guard. The response was "No!"

DEATH! KILL! CUSTARD! ---thats what was on the shirt.

Its a mockery shirt of Paul... I havent seen anything like it and I doubt it will be sold. Promo only type shirt. I stayed after and just asked for one and got the very last one they had straight from the hands of Jeff.

If anyone saw me, I traveled all the way from Tampa, FL and I was wearing a LOADING, PLEASE WAIT... tee shirt.

Ok, I'll be the first to post a detailed review!

First round through the line to play WAR:
Got to play the Black Orc, was definitley fun. Overall I found the graphics (keep in mind the version we were allowed to play were early beta builds at best) were about at WoWs level, I was happy with that. There were some minor bugs, nothing that affected gameplay. The black orc was ok, I found myself using his 2-handed axe more than sword & board. Managed to get some kills on some pathetic bright wizards. I enjoyed it, we won that match, it was Nordenwatch. Wont go into much detail since they have already released it on the main site. It was fun, really well laid out, I only died twice.

After that I went to the PvE computers:
Played a lvl 1 chosen, just kinda ran around and hit stuff, was your typical PvE, only there were just a bunch of groups of one monster type so it got old fast. While I was over there I talked to a Mythic rep, think he was on the QA team, didnt get his name though. But he answered one of my questions since PAUL WASNT THERE!!!! aparently they deported him to Europe. But I asked him if he knew what energy drinks Paul drank, he said "Paul runs on love, kindness, and the blood of many elves!" which sounds about right for Paul. Also that those amazing WAR pants, Paul made himself, from the shirts with WAR symbols, I told him that they need to actually make them and sell them, he said he would mention it.

Next it was Q&A time. I will not go into any detail there because I know it wont be too long until one of the people with video cameras, or Mythic's camera guy get the full video footage up. I'm the guy in the green shirt with a folded piece of paper, I got to ask like 5 questions, I will say that you will be very pleased with a lot of the answers (especially you Magus out there with your silly disks!!).

After the Q&A I went back to the line to play WAR. This time through I got to play a marauder, but they started to have technical difficulties so I had to hop on another character, so I chose the Zealot, was pleasantly suprised, not exactly my style but was fun none the less. Then we finally got it back up and we got to play Gates of Ekrund. I chose to use the Path of Savagery with the claw, lots of debuffs and DoTs. I did very well this match, only died 3 times and was 3rd in kills. This scenario is your standard capture three locations (flags) and hold them to win. Needless to say we dominated AGAIN! I really want to know if anyone kept count of Destruction/Order wins, Im pretty sure destruction dominated almost all day. The marauder has some really cool abilities, he can charge, which is like a sprint, for 7 sec but if you use any abilities it cancels. And they have 2 debuffs, one for casters one for melee, where for like 20sec if they use a magic/melee ability then they take damage. Along with that they can slow people and stack a bleed ability. Also, the flee ability works GREAT! its like +30 speed for 10sec but u loose all your ability points, very effective for running away when necessary.

After that run I got some food (damn expensive convention center food, it was good though) then back in the line:
This time around I FINALLY got to play the chosen, again this was on Nordenwatch. They are so badass, unfortunately we had noone for heals and noone really knew what they were doing. We got slaughtered that time around but was STILL fun. I only manage one kill but still dealt a good bit of damage and keep the order players occupied. The auras seemed to be effective, but I wasnt paying a whole lot of attention as I just wanted to hit people and only had a small amount of time so I wasnt watching a lot of the damage and couldnt tell you a lot of those details. I tried both the sword and board and 2-handed sword, it was quite fun tossing people about with the shield bash. was like a 10sec cooldown on it though.

Overall I found the game to be very fun, and the action pretty much nonstop except when you had to run back to the battle after you died, but flee made that easier. I do have like 10 >30sec videos from my phone, but I dont have my cable for it here so I wont be able to have those up until monday morning. I sure there will be lots of footage put up soon, the convention ended like 2 hours ago. Hope you guys like the read! feel free to start asking questions and Ill see what I can do to answer them!

EDIT: Also, the Beta key they gave out IS for the CLOSED beta. You still are not guaranteed to get in, I think it must take them a day or 2 to check your system specs to make sure you are eligible and then will send you an email, NOT positive though.

you mention that PvE got old fast because groups of the same mob....

Do you think it was meant to be that way, or they had just spawned a few mobs for people to mess around with?

Ahh yes, should clarify that. It was just a test area that had a few NPCs that spawned mobs for you to kill. and a couple NPCs that you could talk to and look at different gear and your skills and stuff.

while playing the black orc, why did you gravitate to the 2her? was the 1her and shield less then ideal in pvp, or do you just like to swing big 2hers around?
