Tcharzanek Statue?

There's 2 new wallpapers of chaos leader, Tcharzanek, in this month's newsletter:
http://img.war-europe.com/syndic_img..._tz02_16x9.jpg
http://img.war-europe.com/syndic_img..._tz01_16x9.jpg

Is this the ingame model or something? I'm guessing it is because the low polygon of the model; just look at the horns on his left shoulder pad! They aren't really perfectly curved. In Paul blog, it said Tcharzanek statue, so I don't know. Any thought?

EDIT: it seems we have our answer:

I don't think that's an in-game model.

Just one look at his face alone and you can easily tell this isn't an in-game model. Sure, the horns on his left may not be perfectly curved, but his face is completely different graphicwise in comparison with any model in any screenshot Mythic has ever shown to us.

He will be presented as a statue in-game. One of Pauls'Video blogs in June shows that.

yeah there is. the recent orc faces are really detailed with little wrinkles and scars. I'm guessing that it's an ingame model, but they max it up with shadows and stuff to make a cool wallpaper.

if thats in game, wer looking at something around 1-2k polys and, which is really high, i really dont think thats the ingame, that whould really be laggy.

in comparison i think wow chars had 400-500 polys, ye WAR looks a lot better but i dont think its gonna be over 1k in game.

and about the horns having a low poly count, u can always devide ur polygons, and chose where u want them, so u might have a real tight polygon count in the face and less in other areas where they are not needed.

EDIT: okay, this really got me thinking, by staring at this picture for sometime it might just be thats the poly count may be "in game" after all, and that its just really high quality textures and llighing/renderings implemented, but im still not sure lol.

Sorry to disappoint you guys but... the Tchar'zanek you see here is the same one that you'll see brooding in the Inevitable City within WAR.

I feel sorry for the poor Empire bloke that stomps around the corner and bounces into him.

I was thinking that Tzeentch would have blessed him more I guess. Oh well.

Maybe his gifts are more than skin deep? He does look intimidating to say the least.

I know but Tzeentch is all into the mutation stuff I was kinda hoping for a quadroped, maybe some more tentacle type limbs, wings, extra eyeballs, maybe insect type proboscas mouth, that sort of thing.

He looks wickid and kewl and all that though. He looks GREAT! don't get me wrong, I'm just saying that he looks a little human for a champion of change.

Well, he also has chicken legs. aka. Reverse Joint Legs.

Wings would be cool tho... maybe he'll sprout some after a while when you fight him.

But such high poly count and high-res textures are going to be used only for really special characters? Par example kings.... Anyway the model looks great, I'd love to see more pictures of WAR looking like that.

Oh, and dutch_gamer, what exactly did you think is wrong about the model that it can't be in-game model? Just wondering

Well i'm not surprised their making the racial leaders look amazingly good since they will be used as raid bosses aswell. I really like how Tchar'zanek looks like in the picture, can't wait to see the Orc Warboss tho!
