Some updates for the EU pre-order situation

First of all, i have not read the hole thread ...

But what about Amazon ? They sold the Pre-Order-Packs without the CE ...
We didnt get any informations about that here in Germany
Kai 'Sterntaler' Schober wont answer on that question and Amazon, too.
They have just said, i should buy a Pre-Order-Pack of their Re-Sellers for 60 Euro's.
Isnt it a part of the CE ?

We want to get an answer on that question ! :/

If you bought the pre-order pack then it's a pre-order for a CE regardless of where you bought it from. Amazon.de should be working in the same way as other retailers where, if you bought the pre-order pack then you'll get the price of it as a discount on your CE. For full details on exactly how Amazon.de will be dealing with their customers however you'd need to contact them directly.

They were already sold out when I ordered the CE on the 8. April
Many ppl have bought the Pre Order Pack without the CE on Amazon.
And i have tried to contact Amazon via telephon and E-Mail, they will not answer my question.

seems like my local gamestop shop(Germany) been sellin pre-order packs and CEs seperately either. So after i preordered the shop assistant told me i wouldnt have to buy a preorder pack but i did it anyway since on the official WAR site its said to be substracted from the CE price in the end and brings with it the beta code etc. So i am pretty sure that people who ordered a CE at gamestop but didnt bother gettin the preorder pack wont have access to open beta, am i right there lainC?

dunno if you been aware of that fact alrdy but couldnt be bothered to read a 27 site long thread.

Yes, that's normal. The CE is not yet on sale so all you can buy at the moment is the pre-order pack however it will be no use without a CE. When the CE is released and available to buy, you'll then need to pay the full price minus the amount you've already spent on the pre-order pack. Amazon should reserve a copy of the CE for everyone who's purchased a pre-order pack. Whether they'll charge you and send it out automatically or whether you'll need to order it separately however is a question only they can answer.

i found CE preorder box in a bookstore which is kinda into electronics and gaming as well. I wasnt expecting to get CE because i live in Turkey and most of the game dealer sites doesnt ship electronics to here.

People will pay the pre-order pack price just for open beta access and head start, although I presume the in game keys will only work with a CE license key.

Open Beta access
Live Game Head start access
Bonus in-game items

As I am currently out the country I can't tell you what else is included, but my old man was good enough to open the box and tell me the above.

I hope this is good new to those who have been waiting to hear from Play.com!

I have pre-ordered mine from HMV and I have my Pre-Order pack. The thing, the person at the counter who I sorted the pre-order with told me that I will have to pay £69.99 even though I have bought the pre-order box. Is this true? Or does the person that served me have no idea what's going on?

He has no clue. There is a memo on HMV computers about this. When I got my preorder box I asked the guy to read the memo, which he did, and then followed the instructions on it.

These were something like this:

1 Charge the customer £9.99 for the preorder box and generate a reciept
2 Take customer details and reserve a copy of Warhammer CE for the customer
3 Inform customer to bring his preorder box receipt to the store to claim a £9.99 discount on the full CE order price (£59.99) when CE released.

This is what the guy in my HMV did. He told me they would inform me when my CE was ready, and I should bring my receipt to claim the 9.99 back. He wrote a note on his computer under my details about it, just in case he wasn't working that day just to be sure

Hmmz, after reading and skipping to all these pages in this thread...i received my CE pre-order kit today...from Play.com and i live in the netherlands...so i don't get all the fuss about play.com not shipping the CE edition to the Netherlands
ow well...now to find out where to put the codes...anyone got any clue...can't seem to find it.

but all i can do there is create a new account with war-europe....but i have already an existing one...

True...but i've also seen posts in the WAR Collector's Edition & Pre-Order FAQ\Information Thread that people could put the codes in and that they had errors with that..
